((Yeah, realized that after I read the post the second time. Sorry bout that))
*The new phone in his hand hits the ground. Blinking, Luke picks it back up again, holding it up before his eyes.*
*glares at Tavin, points with it again* That's real cute. *He's being ******** with. He can tell that much.* If that's all true, how do we get out of here?

((No problem))
Well, there IS a key next to the door with your name on it. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm of the idea that you can use that key to get back any time you want. Otherwise, the Brink sends you back when it decides to send you back, and brings you when it brings you. Regardless, no time will have passed in your world.

*His face is set in a permenant glare.* *He turns and walks towards the door and sure enough, a key hangs there, labelled 'Lucas Blaize'* *He picks it up with his free hand.* *Looking at it, he feels the hairs on his arms stand on end.*
*He replaces it and turns back to Tavin.* *He's got his suspicions about the information, but right now, Tavin's explanations are all he's got.*
The Brink decides. And just what is that?

*tilts her head to look at the keys, curious as to whether they might actually work as Tavin predicts, shaking her head* This place is always full of new surprises . . .

*Tavin shrugs*
I'm not precisely certain of that myself. I have a bit of control over the place, but that control is nowhere near complete. I have yet to figure out the exact nature of this place, or why it seems to find random people from random places and times and brings them here.....

*Luke shakes his head. It's too messed up to ever possibly be real. He would think through it logically, but the whole thing is giving him a headache. This is the ******** last thing he needs.*
*He looks around, taking in the seemingly cozy, quiet place.* So, this place brings you here. Whenver it ******** well pleases. And you all just SIT here. Drinking some coffee and shootin' the breeze.

*Tavin frowns*
If we're lucky, yes. It certainly doesn't harm anyone to just be here
*Tavin thought to himself. That wasn't exactly true*

*Luke shakes his head, muttering* That's complete bullshit. *As he's muttering, his form fades away, sending him back to whatever sidewalk he came from.*
((Good night, guys))

*shoots a glance at Tavin, knowing he's not being entirely honest, but can't help thinking that it's probably better not to unnerve Luke any further for the time being*
*instead, turns to Luke, and offers a comforting smile* Truly, ye do become more accustomed te it with time.

((Goodnight, man! Great to finally get him introduced in the story smile ))
*Tavin shakes his head and turns to Maggie*
It certainly seems that there is no rhyme or reason to who the Brink chooses....

Indeed. It certainly seems that way. I guess that it would be safe to say that we have quite a varied group of people here.

I believe we can, Maggie. Perhaps the reason that we have so many people from such varied backgrounds is to give us a better chance of handling anything that may threaten the Brink.... I can't be certain, of course, but it seems like a workable idea at least.

::Nyx faded in, lying flat on the floor. She seemed to be in the middle of some sort of insane giggle fit, burying her face in her hands as her body shook with laughter.::
::She stopped suddenly, dead silent, letting out a small hiccup.::
::... And then her insane giggle fit resumed.::
