"Most interesting, it sounds very much like a seniority-based caste system." He carefully organized the information in his mind, standing and walking absently around the room again, "Although it would seem like I am already more or less a part of that since this whole encounter began. Who would have guessed that a simple walk around the neighborhood could innitiate something like this?" He chuckles dryly. "Sometimes the greatest mysteries are right beside you, and you never even see them." He glances up. "And I notice that you rather deftly avoided the question I posed, about the status of this whole proposition."

"Avoided isn't even the half of it. If your so dense as to not be able to answer that question yourself..." Jaukk gave another heavy sigh, causing that same whistle to erupt from between the stitches, before he lowered his head and chuckled softly. "They are Vampires, cat, their minds revolve around so little...Of course from the moment you felt sorry for Mikkael and allowed him to bite you, Maybe's mind settled in on the possibility of you becoming his next Childe, or Fledgling, whichever you perfer."

"It is not a lack of inteligence, it is a lack of information. As I have said, every time I assume something I have been wrong, usually drasticly so." He shrugs. "And I would not find it all of that unusual to find that I have been out-thought by one or both of them, they are more intelligent than I am. In time, perhaps I can gain that kind of knowledge, but they have had years in which to perfect theirs that I have not." He shrugs again. "I suppose that the real decision will come down to Maybe, then. He is the stronger, smarter, and wiser between the two of us."

"Do not place me in comparison to you," Jaukk replied as he let out a dry chuckle, "I was there the day he was Embraced. I was the one who led him there. If it weren't for me and my own strength and intelligence, Maybe would have been dead quite a few centuries ago." Jaukk let out another dry chuckle. All he was speaking was the truth.

"Impressive," Enyalius allowed, "What is your rank, then?" He adds the information to the mental tally in his head, placing the people he knows into rank slots respective to seniority. "Although honestly I was not compating you and I. I was comparing myself and Maybe. I will readily admit that he is more than my match in all respects, although I dare to say that with as long to study as he has had, I may well be as good or better."

"I have no rank in a Vampire's society. I am a demon...we're not the same. He was Embraced by the undead, I was embraced by the Devil himself...so-to-speak." Jaukk watched Enyalius and shook his head. "By the time you are given as many years as Maybe, he will have gained more, still keeping him on a higher level than you...unless his stupidity continues to grow over the years."

"Well, the comparison was for comparison's sake only, not out of any misleading expectation that I could ever exceed his skill." Enyalius smiles. "Perhaps I will have a chance to see, you never know." He pauses and chuckles. "Well, YOU might know, but I do not."
(Last post for me tonight, Ko, I've a pair of tests tomorrow, and I should get some sleep. Again tomorrow evening around the same time?))

Jaukk simply watched Enyalius and rolled his eyes lightly and glanced towards the door, a small smirk appearing on his lips - though this smirk was different from those that he had offered to Enyalius. "Right on time," He growled softly as a soft scratching was heard at the door. After a few more moments of scratching, a grunt could be heard from outside the door as the knob turned, a scruffy looking feline with mussed brown hair stumbled into the room, arms full of books. Tattered didn't even begin to cover the damage done to his clothes. Looking up at Jaukk with beautiful blue eyes he growled and kicked the door shut with his foot, "Lot of good you are, you can't even open a door. Stupid lughead," The feline's attention was drawn towards Enyalius and he made a face - not of disgust but not of approval either. "You must be Enyalius, then. These books are from Maybe. Journals and the like," He muttered as he dumped them on the bed.

"Thank you," Enyalius chuckled, "I think I have some nights of rather intense study ahead." He looked over the newcomer with a probing gaze. Wow, I did not know that clothing could GET that badly wrecked and still be called clothing... "Your supposition is correct, I am Enyalius." He grinned, perhaps this being would not be as hard to deal with as Jaukk.

Jaukk smirked at Darius and then looked towards Enyalius, then back to Darius. When he met a stare with Darius, he chuckled and nodded his head, "I know, huh?" It was like a secret thing between the two of them as he held out his hand towards Darius.
"If Mikkael chose you... then you must be something special. Good in bed or somethin'?" Darius was a rather blunt kitten. Looking towards Jaukk, he reached out and took his hand, pulling himself close to lay his head against the demon's chest with a purr as he glanced back towards Enyalius, his tail flicking slightly.

Enyalius raised his eyebrow. "I can not think of a reason in the world why he would chose me over any other, honestly..." He scratched his chin absently, working that one over in his mind. "How did you do that, the nonverbal communication there?" He was not known for beating around the bush either.

The other feline chuckled rather dryly as his eyes stayed focused on Enyalius while he moved a hand to rest it against Jaukk's chest, tail flicking. "Rumor has it, Mikkael didn't choose you." Then, giving a look that seemed to mock sympathy, "Sorry." A little shrug added on after he had said it. Yes, obviously mocking sympathy.
Jaukk put an arm around his faithful little feline and smirked down at him. Oh, how he just adored that horrid little attitude. "Nasty little thing aren't you, Darius." Again in a statement more than a question before looking back towards Enyalius, "Practice and bonding."

"Well, I don't really blame him." Enyalius shrugged, taking the comment as through it were serious. "I will easily admit that I am not the best company, that is for certain." He left unsaid the obvious question, that if Mikkael did not choose him... then who did? "Is it truely a telepathic link, or merely empathic?" His curiosity was beginning to come to the front again, even mortal terror was not enough to repress it for long.

Darius raised a brow and let out another dry chuckle, purring deeply as he leaned closer to Jaukk. Darius was the demon's pick of the litter, one could say. Not on sexual terms...more as in Jaukk was only sweet and loving to Darius. The kitten had to admit, after seeing that side of Jaukk, he had a little thing for him.
Jaukk said nothing to clear up the fact that the cat misconstrued what Darius was saying. It was funner that way. Watching the other feline as his curiosity rised again, he closed his eyes, wrapping his other arm around Darius as well, as if it subdued his irritation - which it did, "Its neither. It's a bond. Ever heard a body language? Well, you can call this 'eye language,' where you talk with your eyes..not your bodies or voices."

"Most impressive. Does that have to do with your state as a demon, or is it something that you can learn with practice?" His mind was back in order, carefully filing information in its correct place and trying to reason out the gaps. He turned to Darius. "How can you stand being close to him like that? Merely being within feet of him terrified me out of my mind..." He watched, trying to see if there was some visible sign of the 'eye language' evedent, but he could detect nothing at all.
