The same reason the US government felt the need to liberate Iraq: Dipshitism. dipshitism, /dip s**t is im/, n, A popular religion in the United States and United Kingdom, esp. since the 1500's. There is no official book for the religion, although there are a number of reference books and novellas that are popular amonst the followers. The virus that causes this disease has not yet been determined, but leading researchers suspect that it is an unusual organ of the body known as the brain that causes it. It is also suspected that unions greatly increase the chance of someone having an outbreak of Reagan Syndrome (named with love after the biggest dipshit we'd ever experienced until the 21st century), which causes one to babble incoherently, speak 1337 and not be making fun of n00bs, and, in the later stages of the disease, even take s**t seriously. The only known cures are suicide, homocide, genocide, and having sex while playing DDR.

I am coming in here way late and I am sure tons of people have pointed this out.. but why is there no option for 'heavy' xd because it would be sad if I had been playing for 2 years now and only be on normal rofl
Sorry; had to make that post.

Sorry; had to make that post. I noticed that too. According to what I can gather from her second post, Heavy is some big accomplishment so it wasn't included in the normal poll.

Maybe for a casual player... I know plenty of casual players (there've only been like 3 hardcore players here), and they all reached Heavy within a few months. It's not an enormous accomplishment, no matter how you look at it. Something to feel proud of, yes, but not big enough to consider it an honor only achieved by a few people, like the poll suggests.

I was on heavy on the first day, on Max II... of course this form of heavy may be different than what your refferring to... either way though, your right heavy is nothing special.... special is beating an extremely hard song like Max 300 keyboard steps razz if you can beat hard keyboard songs on a pad then your a great player....

Several months is about average for most people. And there are thousands of keyboard edits for Max 300. Who's are you talking about? D;

D; Yeah; I had been playing stepmania long before DDR... about 4 months of stepmania.

EDit:: and just so you dont think I am full of s**t I got to heavy in about 3 hours but I was getting D's and it was some of the easiest heavy songs razz

Max2, home of more insanely easy "heavy" songs than any other mix I've managed to pay attention to. It's not unbelieveable at all. Hardcore players I've met IRL: NOBODY Serious players I've met IRL: Me (hvy/endless/difficult/oni) Dag (hvy/normal) Caitlin (hvy) Casual players I've met IRL: Jon (hvy) Marisa (lgt) Sawpea (std/hvy) Sam (hvy) Sam (std/hvy) (2 Sams!) Definitions: Hardcore: see 1un4r5h4d0w. Serious: DDR is a specific interest, treated as a sport. Casual: DDR is just a hobby, something done on occasion, something that grabs their interest. Non-DDR player: People who suck so much that I want to hit them. (you have to suck a LOT to fit under this category.)

I would probably fit under as a serious player; I am practicing to go to tournaments and win, and when I get a job I plan to buy a cobalt flux... plus I have become a lot better at DDR since Max II ^^, but its good to know that not all console based DDR games arent as easy as Max razz

I'm probably the only person here who doesn't like CB's, and I'm probably one of the few who took a really long time to get to heavy (I started before there was beginner mode, and played my home version with tthe controller for the first year,and just went up hill from there)
