Remove Amkia giggled and chuckled, he was happy vanna was playing with him again, that was how he liked it! He was glowing again, his golden light surrounding him. He really was Heathers angel.
Green eyes watched the two little ones playing, shifting her claws slightly she snarled, she didn't like her brother, maybe she was jealous, either way, Kala wasn't happy. Vanna grinned and hugged him, probably coming close to bowling him over. She played with his curls - they were like mother's, but so much shorter and bouncier!
Still, Vanna's unease began to grow again. Her animal nature - her small bird self - felt Kala's eyes. Predator. She stopped playing with the golden boy for a moment, glancing over in Kala's direction, shivering. She didn't know quite where the jaguar was... and that frightened her.

Oqaia Leax laughed, and as he spoke, dug through a trunk for something. "Well, my sister always pesters me if it's not clean as a whistle. Ah, here we are." He came up with a bottle of RoseHip Cordial- that sweet, syrupy drink that was just as good warm as it was cold. He sat atop the trunk, and uncorked the bottle. "..Although, really, I don't know if whistle is all that clean in the first place." He laughed again, and stuck the cork between two of his fingers while he poured the two of them a drink. Lorelei laughed, watching. "Your sister? I'd really like to meet her at some point. If she's anything like you..." She smiled, changing subjects.
"I really should clean up a bit - I had a recent.... problem. Led to a lot of things being broken. But since we've been pressing on from the Gelms, I haven't had much time to fix it up again." She twirled her braid around one hand, thinking.
"That's not alcoholic, is it?"

Amkia watched Vanna stop before feeling the same eyes on him. His reaction to it was to crawl over to Heather and try and get her to pick them up.
Heather was confused at the two acting so strangely but she son realised spotting Kala's form slinking towards them. She scopped the youngsters up in her arms and looked around for Lor. "Where your mum go Vanna?" She hoped the youngster would have some idea. She had a feeling Kala wanted to be problamatic today.

Oqaia Trabor laughed, putting his arms slightly out to his side and standing his tail at attention for the little rabbit-girl to examine him. "Look away, little one. There's not much cheetah left in me- just enough to make me... quick." He laughed again, and winked at Leshya'e. "So, then you should seek out our sister-caravan to the south. ...They are our friends, actually, but we have many friends and relatives that travel in the wagon. Especially for the sake of the little one's wings- you should seek out Orrel. If you're seeking the TriRune, that is." "The TriRune!?" Anezka's ears perked and shifted around at it's mention, "Yes! Yes! I need more pieces...Twinket only had one." Anezka hopped in place and looked wide eyed at Leshya'e. She put her hand down on her sash, where her piece of the TriRune was hidden, closing her eyes and smiling brightly.
"Orrel, You said? He knows more about the Protectorate?...Because Anezka is, indeed, seeking the TriRune...What is the name of the caravan he travels with?" Leshya'e asked as she became very serius and curious, glad that this man had happened to mention the TriRune.

Emelyn "Oh my... erm..." Emelyn's eyes were attached to the form that had taken up residence atop Daggerheld, only jerking her attention back down to Crick to ask incredulously, "Is he... going to... erm... stay there?" "Why, of course," Crick said, a smile on his face nearly as wide as his son's. "He is your harkcall familiar. ...And now the whistle won't be much good for a while. I suggest you either trade it away or keep it. It may still have a familiar call left in it somewhere. ...But not for a while. At least it's still magical, at its heart, even if it will do nothing. Well, it was wonderful speaking with you, Emelyn. My son and I often leave HoneyBlossom to travel, and so that I might maximize the boy's contact with the outside world. So one day, we may come across you." "Oh, I guess our parents are saying goodbye," Corman said, putting out a sucker-fingered green hand for Pierre to shake. "I hope we meet again sometime."

"That's not alcoholic, is it?" "She's not as much like me as you might think," Leax said, laughing. "You may have seen her outside- her wagon is just before mine. Starsha. She had a little cat-like infant- Sarai. I think she was talking to one of your friends with the fox child. ...She's... so much more practical than I am. She's a full blooded gypsy, through and through- and it keeps her close to home, close to reason." Leax handed her a drink. "From the Gelms? Oh, what a place to try and drag a caravan with so many bairns up it. Your wagonmother must be fearless. Oh, and no, it's non-alcoholic. Just very thick and heady."

Leshya'e asked as she became very serius and curious, glad that this man had happened to mention the TriRune. Trabor was surprised by the quick outpouring of reactions, but true to form, he just shrugged and smiled his wide, pointy grin as he responded. "Well," he said first, looking down upon Anezka, "I don't quite know who Twinket is, but I'm glad you're looking for the TriRune. And one piece is quite a feat for someone your age. Some people seek their whole lives to come up with just the one." Then, to Leshya'e, "Yes, Orrel. Very nice man- not a Fortunette but still, mustn't be prejudice, hm?" He laughed, and winked again to let them know he was teasing, "He's usually with The Saster. It's a smaller wagontrain- not many children. They move at a much quicker pace than we. Last I heard, they were to the South."

Oqaia "Thank you. I can always count on you and your family to be... acommodating, and kind." ... "Of course." Silver nodded and smiled again. "Now if you'll excuse me, Val, I need to go prepare Weathered Melody for our guest." Silver bowed her head respectfully to Valelldia and dismissed herself, leading Stefan and her own children back in the direction of her wagon.
At first Stefan was wary of the doorway. He shied away from the steps to her wagon and Silver had to reassure him that it was alright. Once inside, Khevashi flew to his perch next to Mherudyn (who calmly watched the proceedings with mild interest, stopping now and again to preen herself) and Ais situated herself on the rug on the floor. "Momma, I remember him..." Silver nodded as she unrolled several blankets from her trunk and lay them on the floor, forming a pallet for Stefan to sleep on. "He used to live with us, long ago." Stefan walked over to the blankets cautiously. When he was sure it was alright, he folded his legs beneath him. He heaved a great sigh and then rested his head on the floor, propped up by an antler. Silver watched him, slightly worried. She didn't know if he missed Kidra or if he was simply relieved to be back. She knelt down next to him and stroked his neck comfortingly. "It'll be alright, hon. You may see her again some day. Soon, though, you will have a family who can take care of you. Don't worry."
Aisrhan had decided napping would be a good idea and had crawled into her bed. Now it was Silver who sighed. "Alright then. Nap time it is." She covered Aisrhan with her blanket and kissed her on the forehead. "Sleep well, babe." She turned to leave the wagon again, but paused at the doorway. "Mheru, would you like to come with me? You've been cooped up in here all day." A small sound of thanks escaped Mherudyn's beak as she flew from the perch to Silver's outstretched arm. "Khev, watch over them. If you need me, I'll be just outside." She gestured to the open window. Khevashi croaked in agreement and resigned himself to keeping watch over his sister and his mother's new charge.
Silver closed the door and sat down on the wagon's steps, allowing Mherudyn to stretch her wings. The black and green binay soared into the air as Silver watched from the ground. Maybe the interaction with the other carvan's banya would be good for her, Silver thought. She sat and waited, watching her family mingle with the members of the other caravan, waiting to see where they would go from here.(I had a much better post typed up, but Gaia ate it, so sorry if this one seems like it's missing details and such. >.< )

Vanna looked around, biting her lip. Where had the gypsy-man taken her mother? She thought it had been over.... well, towards the new wagons! After a moment of harried thought, she pointed to the one she thought was Leax's.
Lorelei took her glass, taking a cautious sip. It was just as he said - it coated her throat and warmed her a little (which was nice, what with the cool breezes outside). "Oh, Marissa? I didn't notice who she was talking to - perhaps when I go back out...." She smiled, relaxing a little. "Full-blooded? You say that like you're not! Not that it matters much - our caravan is a rather mismatched bunch, if I say so myself. Some full-blood gypsies, but then there are those like me." A shrug.
"Actually, we seemed to fair very well in the Gelms. A few of our caravan members have family there, and we were welcomed into the city of Seinheph with open arms. It was very beautiful up there."

Heather nodded and hissed slightly as she spoke, "Kala go away leave them alone you stupid cat!" She kicked up some dirt at the jaguar and rushed towards the caravan that vanna pointed to.
She didn't mean to knock as hard as she did but it was true that she was afraid of her own daughter and Kala wasn't looking exactly nice. "Lor are you in here? Oh Lor!"

Oqaia Kidra heard the sorrow, and how deeply embedded it was in Gwynna's words. She put a comforting hand out, resting it on the gypsy's arm. "I'm sorry, semita. For anyone, losing a child is such a tear to the soul- but for a gypsy... it can destroy us." Her eyes alit upon Stefan, and she thought... how far away he seemed. "They are our future, and our past. What can exist without the two?" Gwynna smiled at the Gypsy's hand resting on her arm and followed her gaze to Stefan. She had missed the return of the deer, preoccupied with the Banyas and Kidra. "True; without the past or future, the present is ill-defined.' Before Gwynna could continue, Nusa pulled herself up into a sitting position, tugging mercilessly on her mother's hair. "Ow!" Nusa chittered a complaint into her ear. "Well! In this present, it seems that my delightful daughter wants a snack, so I think we'd best get her sorted out," Gwynna said, laughing. She clasped both of Kidra's hands in hers. "It was lovely meeting you, and perhaps the Meij will bless you with a child of your own someday."

Leax was about to answer, to tell Lorelei that the beautiful painting was one of his mother- a fact he was very proud of, for he missed his mother and thought himself to be rather like her- but a voice from outside Allegro caught his attention.
"Hm? ...Oh, it seems someone is calling for you, semita."

(("Without the past or future, the present is ill-defined." Ooooooh, I REALLY like that! *KUDOS to you! *pockets phrase*)) "It was wonderful meeting you as well, Gwynna. And your little one." She gave the young woman's hands a squeeze, then winked at the little red panda. "The meij seems a little restless for her. Perhaps it will bless me, as well. Good travels." And with that, Kidra returned to her wagon, wondering if she'd ever see any from this wagontrain again.

Lorelei blinked, glancing at the door. "It's Heather," she said simply, rising and looking at Leax. "I... it sounds urgent. I had better go and see what it is." She offered a weak smile. "I'll try and stop back later, but if not - well... we're heading for the Port." It hurt to say that, she found, and her face fell a little.
Part of her thought to bend and kiss him as she rose, but though Leax had emboldened her somewhat, it wasn't enough for that. She curtsied instead. "... Thank you..." she murmured, then opened the door.
"Yes, Heather?" she asked, stepping down from the wagon. She felt odd. After a moment, she realized what it was - she was holding back tears. This had been a very odd, but very welcome, day.

(( heart )) Gwynna turned her head to peer at the animal-child on her shoulder who simply churred and gave her a quick lick on the nose. Gwynna giggled and rolled her eyes. Oh, the meij was a mysterious force for them all! With a final wave, Gwynna turned back to The Singing Bird to get her restless daughter something to eat.
