((Thats cool. Though Dante, thats his name, doesn't know his dad. Kilik would actually probably get along with him. Haha! Kilik can fight with his mom though whom I plan on introducing soon to the story. You can read her profile in the NPC list if you want. whee 3nodding ))

It seemed that the 'thing' that Dante had been sitting on was a pokemon. A Trapinch to be precise, the bug like pokemon gave him a grin with its large head and made a sound like it was laughing at them before burrowing into the sand again. Dante stared at it for a few moments before looking over at Meowth confusedly. "I think it just laughed at us."
"Darn right it did! Are you going to take that sitting down." Meowth exclaimed pointing at the sand that it had burried itself into again.
Dante looked at where Meowth was pointing and then back at Meowth. "How do you propose I do that? Were stuck in a hole. We need to get out befor I even think of going after it. Besides I need to see the legendary pokemon expert in Lavaridge. Not go chasing after weird pokemon."
Meowth growled at him. Sometimes his new trainer just let people or pokemon do whatever they want with him. "Ok AFTER we do all that you and you talk to your legendary pokemon guy then we are coming back and going after that Trapinch!"
"Umm... All right?" Dante said not quite sure what he was supposed to say to that.

Ryka just smiled at Jaeshan, and then looked ahead of them. There were many buildings, houses, and shops, all closing up for the night. A few of the people looked at the two trainers with envious faces, and then returned to whatever they were doing, finishing it wearily. They also passed a man standing on a plot of land, with a Machop flattening it. "How weird.." Ryka muttered.
At least Jaeshan is going first, so I can plan out some strategies. Maybe even pick up a few pointers from him. But can we really beat LT. Surge? She asked herself, pulling out her four pokeballs and looking at them. Well, if we believe we can do it, than I'm sure we will!

((I lived in Texas for a while. I liked that state. I'm off to run 5 miles. Be back when I finish and take a shower and stuff. biggrin ))
Sunfire had taken quite some damage from the Thunder. He ran in and took a fast Tackle on the Smeargle. It shuddered at the blow. Both pokemon stared eachother down panting. Suddenly Sunfire stiffened up. "Oh Gah. I think he has been paralyzed." Mag said to himself. "Now would be a good time for Wish to come through."
"YEESSS!!!" Cathy squealed. "We got him now Smeargle! Okay! Let's go in with Faint Attack and then use Hydro Pump!" She shouted. Smeargle smiled and then dissapeared once more. It slashed down on Sunfire and sent him sliding back across the arena. As he went small orbs of orange and gold energy appeared on him as wounds began to heal up.

Hikaru was sitting on one of the large rock formations gazing up at the clear night sky. "You know Rativral, this is an awesome night." She said grinning at her desert monster. "Lar!" He shouted in return. The two turned back up to the sky. Suddenly they heard a loud shout.
"What was that?" Hikaru said jumping up. She looked over toward the direction the sound came and noticed a large dip in the ground. "Oh great. Some idiot traveller fell down a Trapinch hole again." She said shaking her head. "Come on Rativral, let's go get the poor person out."

((I'm here! I finally got a good night's sleep. ^.^ ))
Jaeshan glanced down at Ryka. She seemed lost in thought. He chuckled lightly, happy to finally have some company while he attempted to acquire a gym badge. They came upon the big, brassy building that served as Vermilion Gym. The eletrical dispay crackled on overhead, signalling Surge was in his gym.
"Hey, did you know?" Jaeshan asked Ryka as they were about to enter. "Lt. Surge is Kassie's dad. Isn't that cool?"

Well, I'm certain I know what will happen, but here we go nonetheless. Winona thought to herself, tossing a Pokeball out to the field. Tropius burst out, a bit confused at the two battles in less than 5 minutes.
Nitro let a devious smirk come across his face as he waddled over without order to the fight.
A look of obvious concern came over the grass Pokemon as he vainly launched some Razor Leafs at the Charizard. The sharp foliage sliced the fire dragon on the stomach scoring a critical hit.
"Hey! That hurt you overgrown shrubbery!" ((*Dramatic music* none of you will get it.)) He took in a deep breath, and from his mouth sprang forth a flame that scorched the ground beneath it. The grass Pokemon tried to flap it's wings to get away, but was soon torched by the previously mentioned inferno.
"Ha!" The all too sure trainer scoffed as he saw another of Winona's Pokemon fall victim to his "expertise".

Dante looked up at the steep walls and sighed. There wasn't much luck to him climbing up those. Unlike Meowth, who was still complaining, Dante had figured something like would happen. He had bad luck and he had accepted this and learned to live with it. So instead of complaining he stettled himself down for a long wait. He was just glad that he hadn't been ridding Apollo when this had happened was all.

"Yes. It's really amazing, isn't it? She so lucky to have a dad like him.." Ryka responded, drifting away in her own thoughts again.
When they walked in, the two trainers were greeted with a shockwave flying right by their faces. "It seems that they were prepared for guests.." Ryka said blankly. As she looked around the room, she took note of all the trash cans lying on the floor. There were also a few trainers, wandering around, occasionally sticking their hands into the trash. "That has to be disgusting."
Ryka looked towards the back, where she could see Lt. Surge. But his room was completely cut off by two large bolts of electricity. "How do you think we can get to him?" Ryka turned to ask Jaeshan.

"Kasiya would know, but she's not here," Jaeshan mused, striding up to one of the trash cans. He snickered upon seeing a few of the shorter trainers on tip toe, trying to reach the bottom, and was thankful for his long legs. He bent over, parting some of the balls of paper with his hands, but came up empty-handed. "Well, I don't know what they're looking for, but there was nothing in there but balled-up paper," he said. "It's not regular garbage, and it doesn't even smell."
"You look lost," a lanky young man with stringy blonde hair said, walking up to Jaeshan. "If you can beat me, I'll give you a hint," he added, holding up two Pokeballs.
"Oh really," Jaeshan grinned, happy to oblige. "I'm up for anything you're willing to throw at me," he nodded, glancing back to Ryka and winking.

"Well, it's all up to you now Altaria." Winona said as she released her final and most devastating Pokemon. It floated in the air with an almost eerily serene grace.
Mike unhooked the Steelix's Pokeball from his belt. "God I hate that bird." He let his last Pokeball fly. "Go Titanium! It's all riding on you!" The steel snake Pokemon burst out of his Pokeball, eyeing the battlefeild and taking note of his opponent. He let out a deep chested roar as he readied himself for his attack.
The two trainers stared eachother down, both waiting for the others orders.

Jaeshan signalled for Ryka to step back, and they did so they were away from the rows of trash cans.
"Go, Voltorb!" the other trainer yelled, tossing his Pokeball on the ground to reveal another Pokeball.
"What the..." Jaeshan started until he realized he was facing a Voltorb. "Hmmm, this will be interesting," he said, grabbing a Pokeball and throwing it. Nidoking was released, and he pounded the floor with his mighty tail, roaring loudly. He hadn't fought since inside Misty's gym, and his excitement to battle was clearly visable to everyone.
"Oh my," the stringy-haired trainer said, taking a subconscious step back. "Okay Voltorb! Start things off with a Rollout!" he said, pointing at Nidoking.
"Alright Nidoking!" Jaeshan yelled, trying to be heard over his Pokemon's roaring. "Counter with your Horn Attack!"
Voltorb buzzed as it sped towards Nidoking, who reached down and stopped it from rolling into him with his powerful arms. He lowered his head, and jerked it up suddenly, sending Voltorb flying across the gym and into one of the trash cans. Nidoking stomped his large legs, roaring again.
"That wasn't Horn Attack," Jaeshan said, looking confused. "That was...that was Megahorn!!!"

"Good luck!" Ryka called before stepping back to watch the battle. "Whoa, a Nidoking!" She said in astonishment, as the large purple dinosaur (XD) slammed his tail on the ground.
Blitz released himself from his pokeball, and quickly climbed up on Ryka's shoulder to do his favorite thing - watch battles. Even if he wasn't a part of them, he'd pick up tips and tricks that other Pokemon did. He also just loved the excitement that was in the air whenever one started.
Hmm.. I wonder what's in those trash cans? Ryka thought. She looked around, and noticed a trash can close by. She decided to look in it, and stuck he hands in, feeling around for whatever was hidden. She found it - her hand touched something metal. "Hmm?" She muttered as she moved the paper balls around. Down, in the trash can, was a little metal switch. "W-what?" Ryka said, flipping it on. All of a sudden, one of the waves of electricity keeping them from Surge turned off.
