Returning the handshake, Mouse replied, "My name is Mouse. Nice to meet you. And, because of my insatiable curiosity, what's the name of that charming girl of yours? She is an Eden, correct?" Truthbetold, Mouse had an affnity for arthropods, and had become immediately enamored by this spiderlike Eden.

"Oh?" DiYanni looked around the room, slightly confused before realizing that Madeline had scampered in a far corner to watch them. "Ah, Ms. Mouse, allow me to introduce you to my fine little girl, Madeline. And my name is DiYanni Templeton. We live quite a distance from Eden Project, so we haven't been able to visit very often."

After the boxes had been assembled in a neat stack, she went to retrieve Madeline. "Don't be rude, dear. Let's be friendly to Ms. Mouse, hmm?"

Madeline allowed her mother to take her wrist and guide her to the stranger. She fastened her small hand securely to her mother's skirt as she continued to watch the other woman.

"Friend?" she questioned cautiously.

Somewhat creepy, indeed... but so very charming in her uncertainty. Mouse kneeled down so she could face Madeline more easily. "Why, hello, young Madeline. I would indeed like to be your friend!" She smiled, and stood back up. "I bet she'd like music boxes..." she mused aloud.

"Music?" DiYanni pondered to herself. "Hmm...I guess I've never really tried anything other than books. I think sometime I would like to take Madeline out for some exercise, too. She's awfully pale; makes her look sick most of the time."

She stared down at the little girl, her mouth drooping as she worried.

"Where from?" Madeline asked, still obscuring herself behind her mother's body. Really, her mother should know better... It was best to get a grip on the situation before becoming friends with someone so easily!

"Yeah... music is good. I might have an old music box somewhere that Madeline might like. And as for her skin tone- well, spiders aren't generally known to be fond of sunlight. Maybe that could be part of a trait in her?" Mouse speculated. She was also wondering what Madeline meant with her question, so she asked. "And do you know what Madeline's trying to ask? I'm a bit confused."

"Hmm? Oh, yes...I'm afraid Madeline is a little indirect when she wants something," DiYanni replied. Putting her palm on the top of the young girl's head, she said, "Madeline, dear, please speak up for Ms. Mouse. What is it that you wanted?"

Madeline held onto her mother's skirt more tightly. This woman seemed too...friendly. Did she have a secret plot? "Where you're from?" she asked again.

"Ah, well...I think Ilyusha and Momo must be waiting for us. And we'll need to get going if we're to make the 3:00 train," DiYanni thought aloud.

"It was a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Ms. Mouse," she said. "Madeline, say goodbye. We'll need to get going."

Madeline stared at the stranger for a few more moments, memorizing her face. As her mother began walking from the shop, she followed closely, continuing to watch Mouse until they had closed the door behind them.

(Mwah, might as well post something in here. Freize has been meaning to stop by for awhile now. But he's lazy/overworked (all at the same time XD))

The weremutt cautiously poked on into the shop, pot tucked under one arm, muttering something or other to the leaf within it. He paused for a moment, gaze darting about the room. No one could say he wasn't wary about being in new areas- as a matter of fact, it made him nervous as hell. His fingers tapped along the side of Evarobby's pot before he continued onward, not stopping until he reached the pictures. He glanced over them curiously, brows coming to an arch.. "Is this what you are, buddy?" He got a little hum from his companion so he lifted up the pot as if to let his leaf see the pictures as well.

Maybe this whole thing wasn't crap after all... Hm... He mumbled a thing or two to himself under his breath before turning to take in the room, eyes darting about for any signs of life. He also pondered just making a break for it.

Freize... Was not a people person, after all. Evarobby seemed fine, though, and occassionally gave an excited wriggle within the dirt. The 'mutt sighed. "Well, atleast you're enjoying yourself."

Chalda had gotten out of the car and grabbed the pot from the back. With Ilusen by her side she walked up to the door of the house that had been identified to them as the 'Eden Project House' She knocked on the door and hoped that someone was home after all this travelling. She was anxious to learn more about her little Seleece and what was coming in the future.

Ilusen followed chalda sheepishly, she had never been socially blessed around new people, so was feeling rather nervous. She waited a few seconds after chalda knocked, then getting impatient tried the door and it swung open "Might aswell go inside if its open then..." she stepped inside and was greeted with a welcoming gust of warm air. Looking around to see if anyone was there she ushered chalda inside also and strolled over to a sofa in the corner of the room flopping down onto it. "We should probably wait..."

Kiri glanced around her as she entered the shop, it was a nice looking place, more like an organisation than a shop.

Mrs Potts had helped her find the address of the Eden Project. They both agreed that it was important to find out more about the Eden Project. Kiri wanted to know what to expect from her leaf, what to panic at and what was normal. The fact that it wouldn't be normal was made evident by the increasing chew marks on the rim of the pot.

The room seemed to be empty, but maybe the owner was in the back. Stopping to look at the picture gallery Kiri made her way to the front desk. She wondered if Alice would look like the people in the pictures, kinda animal or plantish.

Shouko had dozed off at the desk while filing out paperwork, but the sound of the door slamming roused her. The pink-haired teen looked up, wiped her mouth off, and smiled at the woman who was perusing the photos.

"Welcome to The Eden Project!" she said, standing up. The form on her desk made an attempt to fly away, but she slammed her hand down on it and shut the folder.

"Can I help you with anything?"

Kiri turned and smiled at the teen. She seemed a bit young to be running the place but maybe she was just helping out, after all her photo was among the others on the wall, that meant that she was an Eden like Alice. It looked like her name was Shouko, it sounded nice and the girl looked friendly.

Tackfully ignoring the obvious fact that she had been asleep Kiri walked over to the desk. She hoped the girl wasn't pushing herself too much, to be sleeping at the desk like that.

Holding up Alice's pot Kiri commented "I was blessed with this little one but apart from the fact that she will grow into a little girl I don't know anything about her. I was hoping you could help make me a bit less ignorant."

So this was one of the people she had delivered a flower pot to! thought Shouko. It seemed the thing had returned to her. Putting on her best tour guide voice, she began to explain. "She's an Eden. Or, at least, that's what we've taken to calling ourselves. A few years ago, our founder, Lena, found the first leaf to blow out of the garden and we've been popping up ever since!"

She smiled, choosing to glaze over any dark bits that tried to creep into her mind. Best not burden the woman with that now. She pointed to the photographs.

"We're all refugees from the Garden, where everyone has the soul of a plant or an animal," she explained, moving into history lesson mode. "We aren't clear on the specifics, but it seems the garden burned at some time in the past and we all became leaves scattered on the winds."

She looked at the little sprig of green in the flower pot and wondered who was sealed inside it.

"Lena made it her goal to find the leaves as they arrived and make sure they had the right things they need to grow again, which is why whenever I find out about a new leaf I deliver a flowerpot."

She paused, thinking.

"I'm Shouko, by the way. Since you're here, I guess you got my letter!"
