Doc smiled at the boy and lead him around the corner into a clearing split down the middle by an oriental room divider. Motioning to a low table, he motioned for Will to get up on it and lie down.
"It's going to be like falling asleep, okay?" Doc asked, picking up a mechanical looking rod from the workbench. "You'll wake up and I'll be all done."

"Okay," Will said as he got up on the table and laid down.
Akuma stood where she was watching as Doc performed the procedure.

Doc smiled down at the boy and waved the wand thing across his eyes. As Will's expression became blank and his eyes closed, a lightbulb on the wand began to glow. "I've transfered all his energy out of his body," explained Doc to Akuma. "And if you repeat any of what happens now, I will claim it all to be lies." That said and done, he propped Will into a sitting position and ejected his chip from the back of his head.
Chip and wand still in hand, Doc lead Akuma to the other side of the room divider. Lying there on the table was what looked to be Will, aged maybe four or five years to the vicinity of age 11. Doc propped the new body into a sitting position and slipped the chip in behind the access patch. Closing it, he took a moment to reorganize the rest of the clearing, pushing the previous body and the divider out of the way to where they would not be seen on the way out.
Returning, he waved the wand back over Will's face. The lightbulb went out and Will woke up. He sat up and glanced around.
"You interupted my swordfight."
Will has grown to Pre-Adolescent. His body is totally nanotech now. He is still waterproof, and his body will adjust to changes he makes, such as muscle growth. Injuries are self-repairing. His reflexes and balance have made drastic improvements, bordering on precognition. He does not bump into people or trip anymore. He's taken an interest in fencing. Best look into that.

Akuma laughed to herself as she heard Will protest about being woken up, and before Will had anymore time to say anything she quickly grabbed him in a hug and ruffled his hair.
"Mom. Stop. Let go," Will whined as he tried to get out of her grip.
"What. You don't want your mother to hug you anymore," asked Akuma sarcastically as she backed up away from Will.
"No, its just that you were sufficating me," he replied.
"Doc could you explain this nanotech to me real quick," Akuma asked as she turned to look at Doc.

Doc sighed. "It just means his body is more like a human one, with natural healing and growth and such. You won't have to come back here to grow anymore."
He began leading them towards the door. "At least, that's the simple explanation."
I must ask you to document Will's growth dream from his POV in your journal.

"Thank you Doc, and Good-bye for now," said Akuma as she and Will existed the lab and headed home.
"Bye Doc," said Will as Will followed.

Perri and Blue blew into the lab, the human woman looking frazzled and her mechanical companion full of glee. The child was giggling to herself as her caretaker waved down a passing assistant.
"The Doctor said we needed to come right away? Something about tests?"

Doc, noticing the assistant's signs of distress, got up from the central desk and called Perri and Blue over. "Not tests," he corrected gleefully. "I've got everything in order for Blue to grow up a little more."
He smiled at the little girl. "Would you like that, Blue?"

"Can you call Perri and scare her again like that?" Blue asked in a rush. "You have no idea how fast she was going on the way over here."
"The speed limits bow before me." Perri muttered under her breath.
"But yeah, growing, sounds neat." the child conceded, still in the glow of adreneline.

"Good!" replied Doc, beckoning them back into the lab. "It's a rather simple process. You go to sleep, and when you wake up, poof! You're big!"
He showed them into a clearing divided by an oriental room divider. On the visable side was a child-sized gurney. He patted it, instructing Blue to lie on top. "Any questions?"

Blue looked at the guerny, still full of exuberance. "Sure! Sounds easy!"
Perri glanced at the Doctor and frowned, but she didn't bar the child's way. "Have fun, I suppose."

Doc smiled and lifted the little girl up onto the gurney and retrieved a metal rod from the workbench. "This will temporarily drain the electricity from your body," he explained. "In other words, you'll go to sleep." With that said, he waved the baton in front of her eyes. She went limp. Doc turned to Perri.
"You mustn't repeat any of the following events to her. I don't know the psycological risks of knowing them."
He looked back down at Blue's still form and removed the chip from the back of her head.
"Follow me."
Doc, chip in hand, crossed over to the other side of the room divider where what looked like a larger, older version of Blue lay on a stretcher. Doc propped the body up and slid the chip into the compartment on the back of the head and then set it back down. Before re-awakening her, though, he adjusted the other gurney and the room divider so that there would not be a way to see behind it on the way out.
"Waking in 3... 2..."
He waved the baton back across Blue's eyes. She blinked, sat up, and looked around.
"Where'd the stars go?" she asked dejectedly.
Blue has grown to Pre-Adolescent. Doc hasn't mentioned it, but her body is nanotech now. Please record her dream. It indicates important things about her character, theme, and future.

"Mum, he isn't going to poke me anywhere, is he?" Eowyn asked warily and with as much dignity as she could muster, not entirely sure she liked this concept of revisiting the lab. Granted, her last experience had been pleasant, but after she had gone with her mother and Caleb to a doctor's appointment for the little male infant, she wasn't sure that this was a good idea. She did not want to be poked or have any unidentifiable metal things stuck anywhere, thank you very much!
Amyla resisted the urge to laugh. "No, Eowyn, I'm sure he won't be poking you unnecessarily," she reassured the little blonde kybernetik, ushering her up the stairs and through the front door of the lab building. "He just asked us to come here, and I think poking is involved only if you're sick or just not right, neither of which is occurring."
Looking only slightly mollified, Eowyn headed inside just a half-step ahead of her mother, brushing her long loose hair away from her face. Oh, this had better not involve poking...

Doc glanced at his watch. Any time now Amyla and Eowyn would be arriving, and sure enough, a glance at the monitor on his desk showed them approaching the door of the labs. He leaned over and hit the intercom. "I'll meet you in the lobby. The door's open."
That said, he got up and strode out of his cluttered lab into the sunny lobby.
"How have you been?" he asked jovially as they walked through the door.

Amyla nodded an affirmative as she heard the Doc's voice over the intercom. "Come on, kiddo," she chuckled at Eowyn, seeing the expression of, 'Oh, must I???', on her daughter's face. "It'll be fine."
Not feeling enthused, Eowyn walked in through the door that her mother held open for her, trying to look as dignified (and healthy) as possible. She glanced around the lobby for only a moment before spying the Doc and hearing his greeting. "I've been well. My sword skills are improving!" she said, placing just a hint of emphasis on the word 'well.'
Amyla nodded a greeting to the Doc, smiling widely. "Hello again. We were summoned here, so I'm guessing something is up." She'd leave it up to him to fill in the blanks. Really, it couldn't be anything bad, right?
