Ryugi Kazamaru I'd call that Speedhacking just from hearing it, but I'd have to see how you'd RP it out. Also, that last statement was aimed more towards Ms. Impact. Dreslin - Apperently SOMEBODY has been to Leviathan. xd I did pull it outta their list. Besides, faster than most modern firearms rounds? While it does depend upon distance, if you are standing still, doesn't the speed of the bullet fired mean that it hits you before you even 'hear' it fire. Despite that some people claim to be able to hear it first then dodge/block the same shot.

Good point Dres.
A supersonic bullet would hit you before the sound reached you.

@Ryugi: Well, amidst a world of characters that can conjure the elements with magic, transform into critters and bend reality with their minds, ******** speed really is rather tame in Deity's opinion...but maybe that's just him. < <; His character practices under a ki-based style, hence his durability/speed/strength/etc.
@Dreslin: Deity based his CO rules off of that thing... =O ...in his own words, of course, but it is terribly useful.....and as far as dodging bullets, people who move faster (for instance, Mach 6) can just move. They need to realize they're being shot at, of course... xP ...hate it when people dodge stuff they simply can't know is there.

...actually no...older guns didn't fire bullets faster than sound. Modern-day rifles and such can - some rounds go faster than Mach 3... O=;

Dreslin Ryugi Kazamaru Good point Dres. A supersonic bullet would hit you before the sound reached you. Wouldn't this be true? It really depends on if the bullet, or any projectile is moving faster than the speed of sound, and your distance from the gun. For example, the average speed of sound is about 700 miles per hour. Most bullets travel MUCH faster than that. I don't want to break it down into feet per second, because that requires a bunch of complicated math that I don't feel like performing. But I'll use another example to show it. If the bullet is moving faster than the sound of it firing, than the projectile, the bullet, will hit its target BEFORE the sound of the shot is heard. if the projectile is SLOWER than the speed of sound, then you'll hear the boom, and then get hit with the bullet not soon after.

Thanks and for future reference. 700 m/h = 3696000 f/h Which is about 1026 feet per second. I thought that the speed of sound was lower like around 340 or so miles per hour.

The speed of sound is 720mph = 3,801,600fph....Deity thinks it gets slower at higher altitude, but he's not sure how much so. > <;;;

It really depends on if the bullet, or any projectile is moving faster than the speed of sound, and your distance from the gun. With a supersonic bullet (which is most varieties), the bullet travels faster than the sound. However, at a short distance, it doesn't really matter which reaches you first because there isn't enough reaction time even if you could hear it the instant the bullet was fired. A subsonic bullet, however, (which, if I'm not mistaken, is what most short-range silenced rounds are) is just that... slower than the speed of sound. ...and I ramble about things I have no real proof on... simply conjecture and things I've picked up from here and there. Whassup in here?

If we get some good RPers in her, and I don't man egotistical brats who god-mod, I mean good, solid, respectible Rpers, this tournament could be halfway decent. XD

Yo yo, Deity who speaketh in third person. I initiated a third person policy at work a while back... we had a person there named Mimi (nickname: Mi), so I talked my boss into speaking in third person with me so that we wouldn't get 'Mi' mixed up with 'me'. I still remember the confusion when I had to say: "I think ___ has a problem with me", "She probably won't be here much longer...", "No, I mean ME. Not MI." @ Ryugi: I'll be happy if I fight one person who doesn't abuse powers like he does the X button on his playstation controller.
