Hehe. Thank ye. I do like making sigs. xd Jewel gave me the idea to make a few "Pervy Hologram Fancier" signatures, too... those're gonna be fun. ninja

Feel free to use as many as you like! After all, you're letting me use your ultra-cool animations. whee

So welcome! biggrin Can't wait to see these new sigs xd They sound great! *bounces excitedly!*
So what's been going down in Groovetown whilst I've been away? ^_^ I got my friend into Red Dwarf recently biggrin They now own all of series 1-5 on DVD, and have the first novel! ^_^

xd I'll try to get to them later on today... I think we're going out somewhere, but I'm not sure yet. whee

Oh, we've just been trying not to get too fangirly and trying to think of at least slightly challenging questions about Rimsie. I think maybe we've failed miserably. xd

Right on! The more in the fandom the merrier! I wish I lived somewhere where it was that easy to get the DVDs and the novels. gonk heart
PostPosted: Sun Apr 10, 2005 10:43 am

Awwww sad I'm sorry it's so hard to get hold of the DVDs and novels where you are! I wish I could send them to you >_< The BBC really has done all RD fans proud with the DVDs - some of the other BBC series that've been released on DVD hardly have any special features at all, but the RD DVDs have a bucketload!

Yeah, it's great to get other people into Red Dwarf! biggrin And the good thing is, Rimmer's become her fave character! wink Her Internet is a little bit messed up at the moment, but when she gets it sorted out I'll have to tell her about Gaia and the RD Guild! biggrin

Yeah... well, I can order them, but I imagine it'd be pretty expensive. We CAN get the DVDs with Netflix, renting them, but the only downside is that you have to remember to get the second DVD with all the special features, because they don't send it to you unless you specify it. So, while I AM getting to watch season 3, I can't watch all the extras until we get the second part. gonk

Oh, well. At least I'm getting to watch it at all. whee

Awright! Another Rimmer fan! *pumps fist in air* xd We shall soon TAKE OVER THE WORLD.

I mean. We shall soon... uh... give quiche a chance. ninja
PostPosted: Sun Apr 10, 2005 11:28 am

I'm glad you're getting to watch it all! biggrin Series III is my fave series - I don't think there's one episode there I don't like! I hope that you'll get to see the special features at some point! biggrin

Indeed...we shall...give quiche a chance... ninja And perhaps engage in some street theatre...if that isn't enough to convert people, I don't know what will be! xd

So do I. whee I'm sure I will sometime.

The time has come to hit everyone with a major, and I mean major, leaflet campaign.

We should decide what to call ourselves! Hmm. Um, my personal favorite is the "Fangirl Association of Rimmer Terrorists." Now, um, one minor drawback to that is that the abbreviation is "FART." sweatdrop

That's an awesome bio! biggrin Very detailed! It was a great one to pick! It shows just how much time's been devoted to giving Rimmer such a detailed background!

I found a webpage which has transcripts of the series 1-3 smeg-ups, if you'd like to know about them smile But they give it away, so I'm not sure if you'd want it spoiled or not sweatdrop If you want the link, post here and I'll get it for you!
PostPosted: Sun Apr 10, 2005 3:42 pm

Thank ye. 'Tis very detailed, yes... I added in a few things, but mostly just little comments. Not very many. xd

I've actually seen the first two seasons' smeg-ups... Anathema has the first two DVDs. I just haven't seen the smeg-ups from the others. Although she did have a smeg-ups tape, so I've probably seen quite a few from different series that I haven't seen the episodes from yet. Erm... I think I'll wait on reading the smeg-ups for series three. They make more sense if you see them first. Thanks, though! whee

crying I've been missing the conversation! Noooooo!

xd

I think I'll pass for now on the smeg-ups transcripts too; much as I wanna know, I think they'll make more sense if I see them first too. wink

xd "FART" Hmmmm... not sure how people will take that one... sweatdrop

And Skipper, feel free to butt in on our RPG! We were waiting for you to come back anyway, lol! wink And...

I looooooooove the oekaki...

*sigh* Jewel, terminating this message, celebrating her last day of freedom before returning to school tomorrow... crying crying crying

Jewel! biggrin Hey there ^_^ I wondered where you'd got to! No worries about the smeg-up transcripts - just thought I'd throw that out there in case ^_^ When you've seen the smeg-ups, they're great fun to read! biggrin This site also has pages on the deleted scenes, and they give their opinions on them, which is interesting!

Awwwww, I'm so glad you like the oekaki! whee It took ages to do but it was really fun biggrin I've been practising playing the RD theme on my keyboard this morning xd I'm no musician but I've got the basic notes down...'tis fun! ^_^

I hope school goes okay for you! I have one week off still, but then it's back to uni *bangs head on desk* But only three more weeks of actual teaching left this year! smile

Watched some of series I last night 3nodding Though I don't think it's the series where Rimmer looks his best, I have to admit! xd

I can't wait to see the smeg-ups! I need to convince my dad to get them all on DVD; it shouldn't take much though hopefully when I show him the Timeslides video... I don't know if I've told you before, but there's a band of white static that goes through everyone's faces for all 3 episodes on the tape... stressed Hopefully that'll convince him!

I've been playing the theme tune on my guitar, lol! xd It's so much fun! blaugh Actually I was inspired to play guitar by Lister... I've been playing it for 8 years now, so... sweatdrop ... I'm a bit better than him now, lol!

Just 3 more weeks for you? ........................ lucky smeg. I've got, what? Hang on... *counts on fingers* An entire term left before the summer holidays, though I do have half term halfway through. And then I'll go into my last year at secondary! I'm actually quite excited about it... I get time off to do work experience, time off for study leave, finish up the year early... sure I'll have exams, but with the prospect of suddenly having time off more than normal... who gives a smeg?! I don't mind exams anyway; I'm pretty good at them... 3nodding

True; I think he looks sweetest in Series II and III.

Yeah, his hair is a little more... tamed... in series I, but I have a soft spot in my heart for it. whee He's just generally cute all the time. Erm, except his expression when the Polymorph is sucking out his anger. xd And even then it's a kind of "lookit me, I'm a funny man" kind of cute. ninja

xd Yeah, I dunno if FART will really work... but the other one I thought of was ARMPIT. sweatdrop xd

I really should get started on getting some guitar lessons... sweatdrop And I want piano lessons. Everybody tells me I have piano fingers, so I figure why not put them work at something other than typing. xd Plus I like piano music.

xd Yeah, his expression in that shot is hilarious!

I prefer the more "flyaway" style of hair he has in series 2 and 3 - I don't like the way they gelled it down in series 6...the series 4 hair is alright, but perhaps a little bit short...*is nitpicking* xd

I did one grade of keyboard and then quit the lessons because I didn't like the teacher very much sweatdrop But I still like to play in my own time. ^_^ hehe..."in your own time"! xd My gosh, I can work RD quotes into everything! biggrin

Yeah, the terms at uni are really short smile That's one good thing about it compared to school! Though the work is a lot harder >_< I probably prefer school to uni! xd I don't think it helps that I'm not into what a lot of people my age are >_<
