Leviticus can shove it Athenalia Anyone who marches with a wooden clarinet is INSANE. That's all I have to say. x.x; O_o how so? I march a wooden one. 'Course, I live in CA, so the weather doesnt damage it.. During one of our halftime shows some of the wooden clarinets got ruined because it was raining during the game. whee

We just don't have the woodwinds march when it rains. Most of our instruments are good and wooden.

Nadils Head We just don't have the woodwinds march when it rains. Most of our instruments are good and wooden. We don't have any exceptions. Everyone plays. whee The woodwinds are the first to get out of parade block to put their instruments away though.

goddess_aphrodite hey i'm kristen a freshman at whitmer high school (toledo ohio) Yo. I'm Sarah. I'm a freshman. At Whitmer High School. xd Of course... I don't play the clarinet as you know. But a lot of my friends play clarinet whee I can't play the clarinet all that well. Which probably means I can't play the sax well. Which means... I declare all people that can play a reed instrument Godlike!!! xd

But most of the clarinets we have are plastic, and I have two, a wooden one and a plastic one, and, of course, I use the plastic one for marching.

RinoaHeartilly, I love your quote in your signature! So true, so true! Especially with our school's football team. Might as well stop cheering for ourselves and whoop with the other team when they make a touchdown half way through the game. They suck so bad. About four or five of the saxes started playing a funeral march in the first half. It was so sad. sweatdrop And when we would make a good play, they would scream, "HOLY s**t!" like they couldn't believe we could actually physically score. (And I can see their point of view.) And it would be really loud. sweatdrop Geez, they need to control themselves... sweatdrop

Ellias I abosutly love my section!! I love my section too. I mean, can't you tell? We're all posting in this thread and everything... blaugh Clarinets are the best.

Hi everyone. x3. I'm a freshman at San Benito High School from Hollister, Ca. I play Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, im learning french horn, and im in colorguard. At football games I march clarinet, but at competition and stuff Im in guard. For concert I play Clarinet. I probably wont start playing bass clarinet or french horn till next semester or next year. ^^';. I've been playing for about 5 years now. this is my sixth. Right now, i have three clarinets. One normal plastic one, one thats all silver/metal. its really hard to play and stuff but it sounds beautiful. and then i have a red plastic one. its uber kool. i'll try to get a pic. x3

Durza the Shade You have a metal Bb clarinet? Awesome! I've only ever seen one of those, and it was ancient. It probably would've fallen apart if I'd tried to play it.
