Red snorts again, clearly put off by this. A few weeks ago she might have agreed with him, but now after all that she had went through her views were rather changed.

Bah, Gods, Goddesses, they're all the same. Sometimes I wonder if they have any "will" at all. Or if its not just our excuse to feel important and add meaning to our otherwise meaningless lives. If you ask me they should all be done away with, we'd be a whole lot better off, along with there fate and destiny.

The tone in her voice suggests that her statement also has a far more personal meaning, almost as if she had been let down by these being she now condemned. And in fact to her, she had been.

He looks up at her, his eyes narrowing even further than before.

“I speak of no false images woman. I refer only to the one true God. I’m sure you know of who I speak. Being enlightened is not a matter of faith, but rather knowing for a fact. You allow your personal feelings to cloud your judgment.”

He looks away, as if melancholy.

“Say whatever you want, but our lives aren’t meaningless. I care not for gods and goddess, only the divine will of our father. Men have free will. If brave men and women like Aykon do not fight to guide our divine fate, then all will be destroyed. It’s the mentality of giving way to the Well of Apathy, such as you’ve said, that will lead to the absolution of Omega, the end of all things, the opposing fate that lies ahead of us. However, I understand your disillusionment, and am willing to offer any guidance that I can.”

Red can barely contain her anger now, as he fists clench at her sides and her heartrate quickens

Disillusionment? You dear sir can believe whatever you will. Your Divine, probably isn't much better then the Divine I grew up learning about. There is no one true god, just images that people choose to serve because what they hear about them sounds good.

She tried to calm herself now taking in deep breathes before talking again.

I may not be as old as many of my race, but I have been taught many things. One of those being human insight and lives are short and limited at best. Me disillusioned....if anything the same can be said of yourself. If you choose to follow the path that you are on then that is your choice, but your path like the rest of humanity will lead to the same thing....death. Follow your Gods will and see if he truely saves you in the end.

Ksi seems surprised by the outburst.

There’s no need to get upset. I didn’t mean to offend you. You have to keep in mind that we come from different worlds. I know not of the religion you were raised in, but you obviously seem to have a grudge. So of course you appear to be disillusioned. I fear you may have misunderstood me. I merely meant that you seem to no longer believe what you once had. If that’s not the case, then I apologize. However, my beliefs have nothing to do with blind faith. As I said, enlightenment is knowing for fact. I have stood in our lord’s chamber. My father is first chair in the Seraphic Choir, after all. Me, disillusioned? Well, I did say I understand, but my faith is fairly secure. It’s other things I’ve been disillusioned about. I have a bit of an advantage over my human cousins, but it’s hard to deny the Kingdom of Heaven, when you’ve stood in its glory. Humans may be short lived, but their potential is limitless. Granted, 92% of them are close-minded, hidrens, as we call them. Yet, it’s that 8%, that I take into my fold. Those who live by their own code, and think for themselves. As I said, open-minded people, who don’t limit themselves to the stagnant social structure of the world. People who are willing to except the truth that is presented before them, and then decide to make a difference. These people are Espers.

Sorry about that, I shouldn't have bown up at you like that, but you were to right for comfort and sometimes I hate admitting to myself just how disillusioned I've become. Which might be exactly why I'm in the condition I'm in.

First rubbing her temples Red then picks up her glass once more and downs the liquid, before letting out a loud and quite manly burp

Excuse me, anyway I guess all in all that sounds like a noble cause, I'm just not sure that is something I could do. Fate and destiny, are two things I'm beginning to have problems with, as my own fate and destiny no longer seem to be in my hands as I'm suppose to believe.

Ksi shakes his head and holds up his hand.

That’s quite alright, I understand.

He gives her a gentle smile once again, and it feels as if a warm aura is subtly pulsating off of him. It even feels, comforting.

So, why don’t you elaborate on your strife for me, if you don’t mind. Perhaps there’s something I can do to help. Does this have something to do with why you’re masking your true identity?

Rhodes
*She allows the key to pass into her hand. Then covers her mouth as another yawn escapes. *

"I think I could use a nap Aykon"

((sucks about your tooth/teeth))

*Aykon nods and releases the key to you.*

Alright. Just take a nap and come and find me if you need anything. My office is down the VIP hall on the far right.

*He smiles and steps out of the door, waving and then gently shutting it behind him.*

*He walks down the hall to the stairs then down both flights of stairs. Once he arrives at the foot of the stairs, he pulls his boots back on and zips them up before walking towards Ksi and Spike*

*Aykon happens to walk over as he hears Ksi mention "maskling your identity" he had already been down this road once but this would certainly be good. He paused and glanced over at Ksi*

Everything alright over here Ksi, Spike? I see you two have some beverage, if you need more, just ask.

*Aykon now puased and waited for the answer about Spike and her real identity. Thiw will be quite interesting if Ksi could drag it out of her*

*After tossing the key onto the end table (assuming there is one if not the vanity type thing) Rhodes falls back on the bed and instantly passes out. Sleep was good*

Red gives in to the feeling as a small smile etches itself on her face and she relaxes more onto the counter. Her concoction was also beginning to work its magic when that phrase popped up again. Why was everyone so insistant that she was hiding who she was. She was excellent at disguises, even if her powers weren't at full peak yet. Even so, he couldn't seem to get past Aykon or Ksi. Again it seems she was going to have to do something.

Trying to stay relaxed she kept her friendly smile and nodded as Aykon joined them.

There really isn't much to tell. And who I am is who you see. I'm not masking my true identity. Granted they are some things I'm keeping to myself, but nothing serious or important. I'm just a man on a mission. That is how that saying goes right?

Ksi shrugs and then takes a drink. Looking over to Aykon, he smiles.

Okairi, Aykon-san.

He then turns his attention back on Spike, as it were.

Fair enough, but you're definitely denying parts of yourself, whether you realize it or not. The mere fact that you're trying to disguise your gender is only foreshadowing to the truth. That's okay though, perhaps you're still finding yourself, or maybe you're just not ready to present your true self yet. Regardless of whatever I'm sensing from you, I won't push you. If you'd like to talk to me more about it later, I'm always ready to listen.

Showing Aykon his glass, he nods towards it.

Very nice wine sir, I appreciate the drink.

He then finish the beverage off, and sets it on the counter. Turning in his seat to better face the tavern, he crosses his legs and gets comfortable.

Embarrassed and angry she digs her fingers into the sides of clothes the fabric beginning to smolder some as her body lets off heat.

I'm not disguising my gender. Excuse me for not being man enough for you, but I am a man. Or do I have to prove it to you to?

Being angry helped, her powers always seemed to work better when she was angry. Now there was no evidence of her femininity, rather now she was all man.

((Bah, worst decription ever!))

Hon, no offense, but I can sense the thoughts of every person on this planet. I can monitor events going on in other realms of existence. Seeing as how psionic ability is one of my strongest traits, I think I can sense your true gender.

He shrugs.

We can leave it at that. Don't worry, I'm not going to go around telling everyone.

*'sleep' was limited. Rhodes hardly ever slept well, always tossing and turning throughout the night. Usually the result of horrible memories that she would forever dream about. It was the life she would never escape. Even in coming to the Darkseas wouldn't allow her to truely escape. It wasn't the vampirism that bothered her, it was the servitude to the clan that she was forced into since the day over her 'birth'. They weren't even grateful to all the work she'd done. Killing off numerous werewolves that had fled, or the discoveries she made down in the archaeological site. Everyday they would give her the same orders kill this, hunt that, it was monotonous. But out of all the work, slaughtering the vampires of rival clans was the worse. They didn't deserve what she had to do to them, their rivals hadn't even bothered them in several years, besides for the one but that was an exception. Every time Rhodes slept the bloodshed would become alive again and she could do nothing to make it go away. This time it was no different. After less than hour she jumped up from the bed startled and shaking.*

"Again..."

*If vampires could sweat she would be dripping in a cold one. She combed through her hair with her hand in attempt to soothe herself. It was useless trying to rest, so she went to the bathroom to test out the tub. Aykon had truely out done himself from the previous tavern. The room couldn't be more extravagant. She turned the water on to an average hot temperature before stripping down. She was much thinner than the last time she was here. Paler too. Her appetite had dwindled and it showed. Across her back laid several long scars; lashing scars from the barbed whip they would beat her with if she had failed to complete her duties. The rest of her body was muscular and free of scars. Technically she was in prime physical form , for a vampire. She lowered her self into the tub and bathed in it's relaxing warmth. This finally soothed her and she began to sing.*

((had time to post. next one she'll go downstairs and junk))

*Aykon nods to Ksi and then to Spike*

Good to see you as well Ksi, I see you are enjoying the wine and the company, eh? Heh...Spike is not a bad guy, just a little difficult at times. I see you are harrassing him about his gender...really can't get much out of him...just leave it at this, we know what we know, he thinks what he thinks...why argue the point?

*He gives a nod to Ksi that seems to say hundreds more things but not a word is uttered.*
