((Okay, I've done it! I have posted! ^.^ ... Yes, even I am succumbable to writers block...))
Taikai's grin faded for half a second, and then returned, "If the elder's will heed someone's beleif in a rumor, then I will try to inform them."Taikai must have spent some time with Taizen, because he had surely learned how to touch a subject with the lightest of fingers. Niima was a smart girl, so surely she would be able to decript the words. They of course meant, that Taikai would tell them, but would tell them only what he might tell them the subjective; rather than the objective. He would recommend getting ready for a war, offensive, or defensive it did not matter, but he would reccomend it, with as much force as he could without being seen intrusive, or suspicious. But Taikai was thinging about tiptoeing a bit over the line, he too did not want any casualties, but that seemed impossible, he was adding to the cannon. Now he could just decrease the amount.
The people were calling for an encore, and taizen could only attempt to smile, and shke his head. The end result being a smirk as though he would be saving some big trick for later. Once off stage, he got down from the Dais, and slowly, people began filing out, it was slow because some of the people came to Taizen to thank him for the show, (His fanclub had stopped by to ask if he had a girlfriend, of which he replied that he wasn't seaching for one.) When the crowd had begun to thin out, Taizen was confronted by a grinning Taikai. "What are you so cheerful about?" He asked, though it was more of a growl than any word spoken in the four nations. He thought he saw Niima so he didn't really pay attention to Taikai speaking as though nothing had happened. Who cared about leaving soon?Who cared about talking to the village elders? Really, what was the point of speaking about anything not-Taizen related?

She completely understood what Taizen said. She also understood the discomfort it might be dealing with the subject to another person. Expecially another person of a different nation. But these people have already been through too much and only saught to restart their lives..why would they wish to be involved in war? Maybe the men and some of the women..but there were children here..and elderly. Those who cannot fight. Her lips pressed together as she sat there, staring at the floor with that heavy stare of hers. She would of course keep her word to Taikai. She wasn't going to breath a word to anyone, no matter how much she thought it was needed. She trusted Taikai to speak wisely to the elder. Then there was the decision of ...was she going to go with them or stay?
Her thoughts were yanked when she heard some kids whining. Her eyes rose to the family leaving, the mother literally dragging her two children by their hands. They cried and whined that they wanted to stay and go see the waterbender, yet it was late and the parents apparently felt it time for bedtime.
A smile tugged her lips as she watched and eventually she stood, hands rose over her head, stretching out before she turned on her heels, hands lowering to her sides. Venturing off she headed towards the table with food and drink. She gathered a bit of fruit in her palm, drink in her free hand. Nummers! Fruit! She began to nibble on a grape, pausing when she saw Taizen and Taikai. HA! Looked like Taikai was talking and Taizen was in la-la land. She silently wondered to herself how often that happened. She chuckled inwardly and went back to her little snack when she realized that Taizen was looking in her general direction. No she wasn't be nosey! Honest!!

"What?" Taizen finally asked after Taikai talking, and talking, and talking... "As i said- if you were listening- I wont continue your training unless we begin setting limit's to how long we stay in a single area." Taizen looked at him incredulously. "What?" He repeated, thinking he had misheard the bender. "If Niima chooses to come along with us or not, I am setting my foot down when I say that there can be no one else traveling with us or not," "Well, fine, but whats with the time limit?" He asked tiredly, he glanced over at Niima again, and felt foolish, she must have been watching them, and surely Taizen looked like a child pouting. "The less time we spend, the more of a chance we have of getting to the south pole without any extra travelers."

Once her fruit was gone she wiped her hand along her pants, pausing when she felt eyes on her. Her brows knitted and she looked about before they settled on Taizen. Why did he look like that? Was Taikai giving him a work over for Taizen inviting her? Her eyes met Taizen and she lowered her head shamefully. Her eyes eventually looked down and she fiddled with her drink. Geh..she got him in trouble how lovely. Pff.
Prehaps she wouldn't go. Not if she was going to cause apparent trouble between teacher and student. Her head lowered more and she sighed a bit. That swayed her decision greatly. Slowly she started towards one of the arches outside, parting between two of the pillars. She stopped and raised her head, looking over to Taizen appologetic before slipping out into the night air for a walk.
She nibbled quietly on the edge of her cup. What was she going to do?

"Great, now she's really not gonna come..." He thought as Niima lowered her head, as though this were her fault rather than his. "Okay, Taikai, how about we just continue on our merry way, and I listen to your everyword?" He asked exasperated. Taikai smiled, "That seems reasonable." "okay, well, er, asking for advice, do you think maybe I should follow her? And, I don't know, try to talk to her.. Or something?" Taikai looked thoughtful and then answered: "I'm too old to know what the young are thinking, and what to do about them, my advice is to get some wisdom." "...." Taizen couldn't help but feel like he had something in common with this old man, but right now, he was very displeased with him. "Ah, monk Go, i must speak with you, perhaps set an appointment...?" Taizen sighed as the last of the audience filed by him, he followed, and looked around... Where had niima gone?"

She had finally stopped on the outer walk of the temple's structure, moving to sit up on the ledge. Cup set aside her hands settled on her knees. She would smile to those that passed, but the smile seemed half-hearted, as if her mind was elsewhere. Heels pressed back then kicked off of the ledge's side as she started to lightly kick her feet. It was nice. The lack of moonlight left the torches to the job of lighting here and there, giving a warmly glow to the area.
She started to pull her hair over her shoulder, tugging at the ends of the locks as she watched the last bit of people filter into the halls and seperate into their respective areas, heading to where ever business was.
Then..there was Taizen..looking around as if he was seeking out something..or someone..Her? Oh good grief was he seeking her out to chew her over? Her lips pressed together and she looked to the side, pretending like she didn't see him before he noticed she had spotted him. If he was seeking her out she would let him approach first. She steeled herself for the pending bark and cold glare she was almost completely sure that was coming...

It took a moment for Taizen's eye's to readjust to the light, in the auditorium, there had been ample lighting, here the only light was the light provided by the torches set sparcely apart. Looking around, he thought he saw something move, and then locked in on it. It was something red, or orange... He couldn't tell immediately, it was like they were blending into each other. Than he noticed that it was no longer moving... Now he could get a better look as he walked closer... It was hair. Niima was staring in the opposite direction of TAizen, almost as though making a point that she had no idea he was there, but if that was true, what made her look away fast enough to make her hair move as such? Taizen sighed, and put on his best, 'I'm not mad but im not happy' face, and trudged up to where Niima was. "Hello Niima, hope Taikai didn't scare you out of coming with us..." Hopefully, Niima was still mulling the thought over, and there was still hope.

She blinked and tilted her head to look at Taizen. If she held a look of surprise it was probably because..well..she was. That was totally not what she was expecting. Her features softened as she looked down at her hands, shrugging a bit.
"Not really..but I seemed to of gotten you in trouble for talking with him about it. I don't..wish to cause trouble between you two.."
She watched her fingers as she clasped, unclasped then reclased them. Eventually she would look over to him and smile a bit. "Taikai doesn't really scare me. He seems like a good man. With a good heart, much like yourself..but he is your teacher and you are his student. And I..don't want to get in the way. You show great skills..." She chuckled softly, knowing fully well she just added to his ego. Of course she was sure his lil girly club was enough to make his head bigger then the temple..
Her fingers curled on the edge of the ledge and she leaned over so that she could look at Taizen more eyelevel. "I'm sorry I got you in trouble...I had assumed you already talked to Taikai about me going..and I wanted to make sure it was alright with him..I meant no harm.."

"Trouble?" Taizen asked as though it were the silliest(sp?) thing in the world, "'Course not! If I was in trouble I would have been banned from talking to you." He wasn't sure how to react to Niima's actions, he could read people, and here he was having trouble with Niima, was it embarrasment, or shyness.. Or.. What?
"Well, Taikai is a good man, and quite frankly, I'm not sure if being like him is a good thing, some time's he does such radical thing's I imagine he's trying to make me laugh." He had another smirk on his face, did he just make fun of himself? Surely not...
"It's okay Niima, you had no ill intentions towards me, and you reasoned correctly, I'm sure Taikai would have been more furious with me than you if on the day of our departure I suddenly say: 'Oh, and Niima's coming with us.' It's better you did this now, thanks for saving my neck Niima..." He had a serious look on his face. "Hold on..." He held his hand up to his face and then removed it, he had on the most 'natural' smile on his face. "Im sometimes blinded by my pride."

"I think we both know, telling you you can't do something just makes you want to break the rules and do it more.." She mused as she sat straight up. "And sometimes life needs a change of pace otherwise one would get bored yes?"
She watched him as he 'magically' made the seriously look shift to a 'normal' smile. She chuckled inwardly. And he has nothing in common with Taikai? Yeah..right. Her head craned to the side and she looked at him thoughtfully. Finally a smile struck across her lips.
"If you wish to thank me for saving your hide then tell me.." The smile faded somewhat as she regarded him seriously. "And honestly..why..do you wish me to come with you and Taikai? What you need someone your age to pick on since Taikai catches you too often?" She wanted a honest answer from him simply because..she wanted to know..His words left her to think more on the whole subject of going with them. And she still didn't know when they where leaving..
She wasn't shy, if anything she was attempting to be somewhat his level so he didn't hurt his neck looking up to her from her perch. Something about his smile caused a small tint of pink to rush across her cheeks and she had sat up in order to hide that. It was..cute. And if he had done that on stage she was sure he would of still had those girls following him around..like a puppies.

"Well, that is my logic, of course, breaking the rules is at it's best when you get away with it. And, yes, when you 'get away with it' so often, it becomes boring, then, when you do get caught, that is the most fun thing you've done in a while." Taizen's smile widened by perhaps half an inch, Niima was so intelligent! and, knowledge was power, and if Taizen dared to go so far, he'd say he was infatuated with Niima, because of his attraction to 'power.'
As he pondered this, the smile on his face becoming crooked as he banished the foolish thought, him? No, he'd never been attracted to anything, if attraction was caused by 'beauty' then Taizen surely would have noticed something in the water tribes. Or maybe he just hadn't found an intellectual equal? Taizen had earlier assumed there was none.
The smile he had also faded as- if people emenated energy- Niima shifted the light atmosphere into a heavy one, foreshadowing something that might be unpleasant. As Niima spoke, Taizen looked away, thinking to himself, what? Was he supposed to tell her he found her to be the most curious thing in the temple and chose to take her as a souvenir? That was far too selfish, but Taizen was selfish, still, Niima was a kind person, and to his knowledge, and extensive ability to detect a lie, he had found one in niima's words in all of they're previous conversations. Andit would have been an insult to lie to her now.
"You are the most interesting thing in this temple, you make me feel content, and bring me from my senses. You make me think of things that I usually don't... I guess, quite frankly, I like being with you, because you surprise me like other people can't." there was a bit of a cough heard behind taizen, and he whirled around immediately, he hdn't noticed anyone there! And there in the darkness that the torch had not been able to touch, Taikai came out like a grinning shade. "Well, did i interrupt something?" And then taizen did something he hadn't done since someone had corrected him in bending(which had been some time ago.) Taizen made to look as though he were angry and turned away from the two people, a bit of blood had rushed to his face, and he blushed.

A brow corked when his smile became crooked. Who knows what he was thinking. Probably amused by his own words.
She watched his expression change to suit her question. She could swear she could see those wheels in his mind whirling as he tried to figure out how to answer her. She was waiting for smoke to filter from his ears. But in the end she had to swallow the want to smile at his words. They where..kind of sweet..in Taizen's own way that is. It wasn't that hard to hide her smile though when Taikai made himself known. Her mismatched eyes rose to the old man and she scolded playfully.
"Haven't you been told it's rude to easedrop?" Her eyes turned to Taizen who had his back to them and seemed angrly so. Reaching over her fingers lightly tickled at his ear with her first two fingers, a motion that was hidden from the old man and would seem simply that she was poking at Taizen. "Taizen was simply letting me know what I am in store for if I decide to journey with you two."
Was she covering up their little chitchat? Not really. She was being truthful to Taikai just not giving in detail of the personal chitchat. She waited to see if Taizen would drop the angry act and join the conversation. Her hand lowered to the ledge's smooth surface and she looked back to Taikai. "By the by..how are you traveling as? Boat?" They are water tribe..of course they where! But she wanted to make sure..these days..you never knew.

Taizen might have whirled and roughly scolded Niima for doing tht, but it was Niima, and he had just finished explaioning how she made him not do things he usually did, so, he didn't do what he usually did. Instead he turned around and made a moody face at Taikai. "I'm sure he payed atention when learning to bend, but perhaps in manners he was a bit dim?"
Taikai held his hands up in defense. "Ah, I'm terribly sorry, I should know better, I was once a love-bird as well..." He continued as Taizen began to interrupt with spluttering half words, like 'we' and 'I' and 'no' and 'never' "Niima, we will be traveling by boat, We have accomadations for you and your cat, of course you'll be sleeping in our captain's cabin. And the two of us will be bunking in the storage area, which Taizen can set up some hammocks for the two of us. You should feel lucky, I would have immediately took the cabin for myself, but I can't leave the two of you to sleep in the samme room. So, I'll be sleeping on a twiny hammock... With Taizen's snores..."
Taizen held up his hnd to his face, but rather than smile, he had a look of dissapointment for Taikai, he hadn't wasnt going to sleep in the same room as niima, but it seemed that Taikai was having his fun by messing with Taizen, and perhaps attempting to embarass him in front of his 'grilfriend' indeed, Taizen didn't think he'd let this joke die until he did! "I assure you Niima, there is plenty of room, besides, I remember Taikai sleeping on the deck of the ship for a majority of the trip, he doesn't really pull his weight when it comes to maintaining a ship." Taikai had the grace to blush, "I might have drifted off a bit... But it wasn't as though Taizen had trouble by himself, as he continued to prop himself up on the regalist of terms, 'I can bend a ship by myself' He'd say, 'not as though I actually need your help'" Taikai seemed to be quoting Taizen, Even changing his voice a bit. "Truth is, the tides were already going his way! Even the winds were helping him, 'single handedly bend the ship'!"
