Grinning widely, Deidara went back to his own bowl. "I love you too, un," he replied, smiling at Gaara as he started eating. "See, that wasn't so hard, un!"

Almost choking on his food Gaara cursed quietly... This wasn't how the akatsuki had acted around him during the past experiences they had together. Shivering involuntarily Gaara hissed softly... What the hell went on in the older boy's mind...

Deidara giggled at Gaara's reaction, covering his mouth. Hee hee, so cute, un... he thought happily, before looking down at his near empty bowl and frowning. "Damn, un..." He finished the last bits and leaned on the counter, pouting.

Turning to Deidara Gaara gave him a look, "What's wrong now? If you lost your interest with me go back to your friend and leave me in peace..." He noticed the blond pout and curse while taking in the empty bowl of ramen... Quickly giving it thought Gaara nudged his own bowl silently towards the other boy. "Here, I told you i wasn't hungry, but at least I ate a good half of it. You... you can have the rest..." With that he got up from his seat and got ready to leave. Before the blond could say another word Gaara leaned over slightly and gave Deidara a kiss on the cheek just giving away the last of his luck while putting some money for the ramen on the table. He turned and headed away from the ramen shop stopping for a moment and murmuring, "Thank you for the enlightening experience... I hope we don't see each other any time soon... for I may as well kill you next time." He then walked off wondering if the other would follow.

Deidara glanced up as the bowl was pushed towards him, opening his mouth to protest, then freezing as he was kissed and the Kazekage left. After a few moments during which he got his sense back, the blonde quickly spun around and hopped off his stool, dashing out under the fabric flaps covering the front of the ramen shop after Gaara (completely ignoring the fact that kimonos were not clothes to be running and jumping in).
"Hold it, un!" he shouted, catching the redhead's shoulder and spinning him around. Before the smaller boy could say anything, Deidara pressed his own lips to Gaara's. Pulling away, he grinned mischieviously. "You don't want to see me soon, un?" he asked, faking sadness. "You really are mean, un."

His face was burning like crazy and Gaara fell over onto his backside. For a moment he let a silence engulf them and he looked up. There would be no way that the Kazekage could get rid of the blond very easily. Frowning he pointed back at the Ramen Shop, "Go Back..." He murmured letting his pride go completely yet regreting ever taking Naruto's words to heart, "You never paid for your meal and I only paid for my bowl... Go back and pay I'll wait here.. if you insist on following me."

Deidara grabbed Gaara's hand, pulling him to his feet, and smirked. "I don't think so, un," he replied, sticking his tongue out playfully. "You're so mean, you'd leave as soon as I went back inside, un! Besides, it's on Itachi-san, un!" He laughed evily, covering his mouth to muffle it, and brushed away the thoughts of how the Uchiha would kill him later. "And since you offered, un, I'd be happy to follow you, Gaara-chan."

'Oh damn what type of hell did I just sign myself into!?' Gaara thought... 'I was certain I could get him at least distracted enough so I could pull myself together.' He glared at the blond as the other called him Gaara-chan. "Screw you... I- nevermind." Gaara turned and started to create a distance at least between them again. "Now that you really are following me... What do you truly want with me?"

Deidara trotted after Gaara grinning all the while. At the redhead's question, he bit his lip, looking thoughtful for a moment while he twisted a strand of long blonde hair around his finger. "What do I want, un?" he asked. "Nothing really, I guess, un..." Standing next to Gaara now, he smirked, tugging on the smaller boy's sleeve. "Maybe another kiss, un? One that I don't have to steal?"

"i already gave you one... live with it..." Gaara ignored the warm feeling in his cheeks. He was becoming a little too accepting and he was getting sick of it... Deidara was using him for a pastime. A thought came to his head and he moved to look at Deidara... "I'm not surprised that you have to steal most of the things you want, but maybe... maybe I'll let you do what you want if you tell me something." He took a deep breath, "I will ask this again.. why do you care about me... of all people...?"

Deidara took a breath, thinking the question over and speaking as answers came to mind, stumbling over his words, with many long pauses reseverved for thought. "I don't get completely why, un....maybe because you're the Kazekage, and that's pretty impressive, un...and because you could understand lonliness, and how I had to kill my family to join Akatsuki, un...maybe also because you remind me of Sasori-danna....don't get me wrong, you aren't just a replacment, un, it's just....comforting..."

Gaara stopped, 'Comforting?' He had never been comforting to anyone before... He was normally known as a monster a terrible burden in the world, but comforting. "you say I'm comforting... and you say that I remind you of Sasori.... was he comforting too. If he was... i have no choice, but to think that i am a replacement..." He looked harshly, "Besides how can i be someone, who would be able to comfort others... i used to kill to comfort myself... Understanding lonliness? i used to think i understood it, but now I'm doubting it very much so..."
Gaara looked directly into Deidara's eyes, "i never knew you had to kill your own family.. i killed my mother because of who I am... Am I comforting because I am similar... i'm starting to feel like you accept me in the same way Naruto does."

Deidara blinked, surprised that Gaara had said so much, but smiled, slipping his hand into the redhead's (though the effect may have been damaged by the handmouth, especially figited after not gotten any clay for a while). "Similar, un? Maybe..." he said, mulling the idea over. "And the same as Naruto, un?" Thinking that over, he smirked, a slight bit sadly, and added, "Then, do you love Naruto-san?"

Gaara could hear the hinst of another deeper emotion in the blond's voice..." Maybe... Hm what do you think... I don't know how to love anyone, but myself... Naruto taught me that I could if I had people, who cared about me... Hmmm Even if I tried Naruto only accepts me as someone, who has suffered like him... i know he wants Sasuke... It's pretty clear of that..." Gaara sighed, feeling the rough form of the mouth Deidara's hand... He looked down at their joint hands...

Thinking over what the redhead had said, Deidara started laughing, squeezing Gaara's hand tighted while covering his mouth with the other. "Naruto...wants Sasuke, un?" he managed to ask between bouts of laughter. "Keke...Itachi-san has competition then, un..." Meanwhile, the handmouth poked around with it's tongue, hoping for food. Feeling the inside of the Kazekage's hand, it tasted the skin that retained a slightly sandy taste. Equating that sand equaled earth which equaled clay, the handmouth licked Gaara's palm.
