(( God, wtf is Eseen doing? ))

As Leadstorm got back within reach, her eyes flung open. Her arms still hung over each side of the bike, beyond tying up for the moment. She noticed the ziplock he held in his hands and frowned. The b*****d was going to tie her up and leave her off somewhere!

"Fine, you don't come closer or I blow this bike." She spoke up, moving a hand over towards the motor. She had no idea of the implications of saying this, the knowledge of the bike's ability to self detonate was temporarily forgotten.

"I swear, I totally will!" Eseen elaborated. She didn't know whether or not Leadstorm had caught on to what she was capable of, not realising he could easily assume she had used small explosives to achieve her blow to the head. She was just assuming, after years of practice with this, that it was obvious.

~Leadstorm stopped in place. "allright, fine. What will it take to get you to let me leave with my bike? I'll take you wherever you need to go, I'll give you anything I have, all I want is to take my bike, and go for a real test drive. you do realise thayt the bike's anti-Theft/Vandalism system is activre, right? as soon as you try and damage it, it will set off a small charge to destroy your arm." he bluffed. the bike did have that feature, but he hadn't had the chance to turn it on.~

Mark turned around and took control again, and the mecha was off. The sounds of gears, motors, and all sorts of mechanical noise went about them. Mark then smirked to himself " Now, if you can calm yourself down for a minute you can help me locate the bike, also try another move like that and you will not enjoy your new seat." He said with a smirk, even though the even smaller and darker cargo bay wasn't much of a seat at all, it allowed for more room for Joe to thrash about in, because he clearly had issues with being in the mecha though Mark wished he'd know this before.

The movement of the Mech did nothing to stop the nauseous feeling and everything for Mark by keeping Joe feeling sorry for himself and not making a nuisance out of himself.

Mark's announcement that he could help with locating the bike got some consideration from Joe. Any distraction at this point was welcomed by him, though the threat which followed produced a look of pure fear on his face for a second before he covered the emotion up by looking at the ground.

"Don't worry, I ain't got anything else to trip on"

He mumbled praying to whatever deity would hear him that he'd not suffer another panic attack whilst in the presence of this guy. There was still a chance that Mark would simply put the entire thing down to him having a bad trip rather than realising Joe's greatest weakness and another attack would lead Mark to the unmistaken realisation that Joe suffered from claustrophobia.

"Did you turn the tracker on before you attached it to Vinnie?"

" Like those copr jackasses would give me a tracker, that was just a bluff to scare the s**t outta them, though it didn't seem to work, isn't there some other way?" Mark said with a frown whilest still looking at his view screen.

((Sorry again for short post, busy busy day, gotta start cramming for mid terms.))

He looked up at Mark with total disbelieve. He'd half figured Mark as the sort of person who'd forget to switch it on, but to find out that he didn't have one in the first place was something he hadn't counted on. On the positive side, it was the first time he'd heard Mark hold a similar attitude towards the corporations as he had.

"You actually thought it would be easy to retrieve the bike" He concluded after a moment, then asked: "How much time did they give you to retrieve it?"

He knew of several ways to locate Vinnie, all of them needed time, perhaps more time than they'd given Mark and whilst he wasn't concerned how much money Mark was getting paid, or if he did or did not want to fulfill his contract, he was concerned about how much time he had before Mark came to the conclusion Joe was a decent replacement for Vinnie, or at least, would give the corporation a reason to extend Mark's time to find the bike.

Mark flicked on his LED display on his view screen " As of now, I have 9 hours left to retrieve it before the corp storms in and ruins my job completely. Now I respect the corps but they are run by assholes, I'm only in this for the money. He said with a frown. he then looked at a side screen, the blips on it showed movement and heat up ahead, 2 signatures were shown, one seemed to be partly cyborg so he knew they had to be those two who speed off on the bike, Mark then slowed down the mecha to a quieter step.

" Okay, I'll need you to be quiet now because I have a reading of 2 biological creatures coming up in a mile or two, theses might be the people we are after." Mark said " What I did back there was just child's play, I wanted to go after them because I wanted to take this new toy for a joy ride, and what a better way than to take a high paying job and retrieve some crappy bike from some low-lifes." He said with a chuckle, for little did they know he was the one they called "Reaper".

Nine hours was not as much time as he'd have liked to have but it was better than nothing. It would be enough time to place a call to either person with the AI. Not that he was willing to get them to simply hand it over to Mark. As far as he was concerned, the corporation paying Mark could go to hell and anyone who wanted to destroy the AI was more than welcome to join that corporation.

"What you did back there was stupid."

Joe pointed out.

"And I doubt you'll get paid for the job"

He didn't say anything further than that, a bout of nausea hitting again before he could. leaving Mark to deal with the two signatures.

~While he waited for eseen to respond, a thought occurred to him. He started browsing the Bounty offers online through his TS Marquee, looking to find the meeting place for the return of the bike. "Found it" he said out loud as he came across the ad. "New plan, we'll go take out The guy's funding, and then with any luck he'll get off our asses. they're bound to have brought some kind of mech or vehicle with the capability of at least keeping up with my bike, and we can steal you one just like it there. Sound good?"~

" I know what I did was stupid and irrational, but I wanted to play with my mecha, anyway If they don't pay me they'll be in over their heads and the situation will worsen." He said " Anyway there's bound to be someone to take the AI out of the bike, then I could return the bike and you'd have the AI to place into a new bike. Then we blow the crop to kingdom come and all go home, that is after I get the payment I expect from them." Mark said with a smirk

Eseen paused when Leadstorm began to negotiate. She remained silent while thinking of her own options. He was offering her to be dropped off somewhere, something which she couldn't care less about. They both wanted the bike and the only bargaining chip she had was that she was currently on it - while this monolith of a man stood over her.

Her eyes made contact with his gaze, contemplating the validity of his warning. If he was right, she was sitting upon a very explosive bike and her intervention would make it more so. If he was lying, she could probably start up the bike right now and ride off, assuming he didn't catch her off guard.

She almost jumped when he spoke up again. Having no idea what he was on about, nor any cybernetic enhancements, 'Found it.' quickly lead her to assume a number of nasty things. All involving her not having the bike. The initial reaction was hidden quickly when she caught on to what he was on about.

"Fine." She spoke cautiously, narrowing her eyes at him. Trust couldn't be counted on here, her being a thief and him being a... well, not a thief. It did however make for a great common ground. Comrades who don't trust each other keep more of an eye on the other's back so they can stab it. It was one of those strange relationships she'd had with her teams that was safer than anything else.

"No funny stuff..." As she spoke, she pushed herself back, giving him room to get on the front of the bike. While she was quite capable herself and riding shotgun wasn't exactly favoured, she'd rather be watching his back than vice versa.

For a moment Joe wondered if Mark was aware that he wouldn't be getting the bike off Leadstorm, or Eseen, which ever of the two had ended up taking possession of Vinnie, simply because the AI wasn't about to let anyone else pilot it.

"The AI's integrated into the bike, you can't remove it unless you delete the AI"

He revealed to Mark, his nausea settling down a bit.

The bike itself held no further value to him. He had his fun with it and through it, had found something of more interest than the bike could ever be: its source code. With it, he would be able to stop, or at least, slow down, the corporation and its creator in creating more AI's like it at the same time as handing that power to him.

It meant that for now, he'd have to find a way to get onto Mark's good side without it becoming suspicious and then to convince Mark that blowing up the corporation that held the source was not the way to go about this.

"And while I know you enjoy blowing s**t up, maybe you should exercise some patience this time, I'm sure we can work something out, how much's the bike worth to you anyway?"

" Well the bike is worth quite a bit, and I just re-checked the corp's last message and they are paying em extra to bring the cybrog back alive, so I guess blowing up the place wouldn't work well...for now." He said staring at a side screen. He then slowed the mecha's speed to a crawl for they were close to the two blips on his scanner. " They are close by, I'm getting two heat signatures about a few yards due north of our position, since you're the one who's obsessed with the bike, so it seems, I'll let you decided what we do with it after it's returned to the Corp." Mark said, knowing fully well that if Joe did anything stupid he would regret ever meeting Mark.

As Mark gave him the information that they were after Leadstorm as well, he wondered if there'd been something in that message that pertained to him. Not that he was stupid enough to ask, thus giving Mark ideas. It just added a certain amount of paranoia to his current state of mind.

"Good"

Mark not wanting to blow the corporation up straightaway was a positive start. Him thinking Joe was obsessed with the bike was something Joe was hoping would work in his favour.

"So were you bluffing when you said they could fix the AI?"

The question was purely out of interest. He hadn't been stupid when he hacked the bike and knew that it was in the best interest of everyone if they didn't attempt to reverse what he'd done to give Leadstorm access to the AI.

He closed his eyes, his head once again in his hands as he tried to desperately hang on to reality.

"Got a coffee?"

He asked, sounding as desperate as he felt.

~Leadstorm leapt from where he was standing onto the bike, and within seconds was riding a wheelie back out onto the road. As the front tire of the bike came back into contact with the street, he said ofer his shoulder "Hang on, by the way" to eseen, not taking his eyes off the road. "let me know if we pick up any tails" he said, upshifting.~
