Sai materialized himself, feeling a little awkward that he had disappeared. "Just trust me," he said after a moment, "take it." He didn't know who was going to the victim of the blade, but he knew it was either going to be Mergex, or even Sora. Even if it is her body, it's not her, he thought, frowning as he looked over at the girl again. Now that he thought about it, Kai was right; she had had the right to know. "Kai..." he murmed, shutting his eyes before looking over at him, "I'm sorry for blaming you earlier..." he said, a little embarrassed that he was even appologizing in the first place.

Shepard had been gather the last of his energey. He held his hands out infront of him. " Enough!! You'll not make a fool out of me! Phoniex flash!" he said as he fired a large wave of bluefire from his hands. Mergex suddenly worried.
" Whatv the hell?!" he said as the blast hit him. A loud explsion echoed through out the area. The ground shook from the force of impact. When the dust cleared Mergex stood there with a worried look on his face. His whole left side was gone. His left leg was still there but a large chunk of the rest of his left side was gone. He had no shoulder or arms for that matter. It seemed Shepard had won...

"Mergex-dono!" Sora whispered to herself as the attack had started coming. Upon impact, she fell backwards, the force of the explosion the cause of it. After a moment, she scrambled up and stopped, horror stricken. "Mergex-dono!" she cried, starting at a run towards him. She stopped to his side, tears starting in her eyes. "Mergex-dono..." she said under her breath, looking at the damage Shepard had caused.

Mergex sleft started bubbling as his limbs started to grow back. Soon they where back and perfectly normal. Shepard looked in shock. His blast haden't been strong enough. He blinked and Mergex wasent there. Mergex appeared behind him. He put his hands togther and smashed Shepard on the head down to the ground.
He hit it with horrible force. He laid there bloodied and battered. He was unable to move. Mergex still floated in the air his wings now spread. He formed a ball of blackfire in his hand and prepared to fire. It got bigger and bigger. " Time to die son of Aimless!"

"s**t," Sai cursed under his breath, dematerializing as he shot from their cover. Within a moment, he was muttering something under his breath, a glow surrounding Shepard. Sai skidded to a hault next to Shepard, dust kicking up the only thing being seen. Quickly, Sai scooped Shepard up, before he tried to start off in the direction he had been heading. [[it's up to you wither they get out, Vamps. But, the glow is trying to heal him, so xD]]
Sora wiped away the tears that had started, seeing that Mergex was better. "I worry to easily," she sighed to herself. Suddenly, she narrowed her eyes, feeling something pass. The dust kicking up in front of her gave her the clue who it was; "It's Naku, Mergex-dono!" she called up to him. She cursed under her breath; she didn't have the same natural power that her otherself had.

[It's been over an hour since you posted though! I'm so horrible! -explodes- DDx]
Kai stared at Sai as he reappeared, but slowly nodded, still not really understanding, as he turned the dagger over in his hands again. He looked up sharply, eyes slightly widened as Sai apologized suddenly. He blinked in confusion for a moment and then looked at the ground, running a hand through his hand, it feeling odd with the bandages there. "It's.... fine," he mumbled. He fell silent for a moment, and then glanced back up at him. "Since Sora is in control... would injuring her still hurt Meghan?" he asked quietly. He grabbed the nearest tree suddenly for support as the ground began to shake, and then looked back at Mergex. "Did he... win?" He scowled at Sora whining all over Mergex.
Kaori shook her head, biting her lip. "I doubt it. I've cut him in half before, yet there he still is..." Sure enough, with a sickening bubbling noise, Mergex began rebuilding himself. Kaori placed a hand over her mouth, but couldn't tear her horrified eyes away. She jumped, biting back an alarmed squeal as Mergex slammed Shepard on the head. She heard Sai curse, her eyes widening as she reached for him but found nothing. Her eyes went to Mergex and Shepard, widening as she saw the dust cloud spring up. She began to chase after him,
but Kai grabbed her arm, quickly keeping her from giving away their position. "He'll be fine!" he growled, but there was a hint of anxiousness in his eyes as he watched, debating wether to go ahead and jump in as well.

Mergex growled. He suddenly remebered something. Sai was somehow a ghost or could ghost. That made him a prime targert for this. He canacled his attack. He pulled out a purple stone. " Time is up for you friend!" he said as he held out the stone. Suddenly a violent cwind went to suck Sai in. It wouldn't effect Shepard or anyone else but Sai. It would try to suck him into the stone where he would be stuck forever...unless someone smashed the stone.

Sai suddenly materialized, Shepard slowly floating back to the ground. He gruted, his hands covering his face. Slowly, he was being pulled towards the crystal, try as he may to keep himself firmly on the ground. After a moment or two, his feet slipped from the ground, causing him to fly foward. Before he hit the crystal, he started to glow the same purple color. Within seconds, he was stripped and teleported into the crystal.
Sora watched the crystal, her eyes sparkling; she liked shiny objects, almost like a child. She watched as Sai was sucked in, feeling a sharp pain in her head; what was that? What was that sudden pain? She pushed it aside, before laughing. "Go Mergex-dono! You took on that ghost- the one He killed- without breaking a sweat!!"

Kaori tried to pull away from Kai, but his grip was too firm, so she was forced to watch fearfully still from the cover of the trees. She blinked as Mergex suddenly cancled his attack, then bit her lip anxiously as he pulled out a purple stone and held it up. "Time is up?" she repeated urgently, leaning forward as far as Kai would allow.
"Sa-" she began, before Kai clamped a hand over her mouth to keep her quiet. She struggled, eyes widening as she saw Sai's feet pulled from the ground. She just watched helplessly as Sai was sucked into the stone. Kaori stared in shock for a moment, tears in her eyes. Then they narrowed dangerously and she suddenly grabbed Kai's arm with both hands, twisting it until he jerked back. She glared at him and then ran off before he could stop her again.
"Mergex, you b*****d!" she screamed, drawing her sword as she ran towards the scene. She placed herself between him and Shepard, sword out and pointed at him, a small bit of fire formed in her left hand, ready to be used at a moment's notice. "You let him go, right now!"
Kai had watched in shock as Sai was pulled into the stone. He's a ghost, he can't die! he thought frantically. Then he'd suddenly felt a sharp pain in his arm and shortly after realized it was Kaori twisting it in an effort to break free. He watched her running towards the fight and then gritted his teeth. "Damn it," he growled and rushed after her, pulling out his sword as well. He stood at her side, slightly behind her and keeping his eyes warily upon Sora as well.
The heavy sword was causing his injured right hand to sting slightly, but he made himself ignore it. I've endured worse, he told himself, still holding the dagger Sai'd handed him in his left hand.

" You want it? Go find it!" Mergex said rearing his hand back and chucked the stone out and way into the deep forest. He smiled as he landed a few feet away from Kaori. He lifted his hand out and his sword materlized in his hands.
He smiled ready to fight. " Come on. Can you succeed where the son of aimless has failed? Do you realize that you are fighting history? EEF will live once more and you shall die. Come now! Let us battle!" he said.

Sora smirked as her eyes followed the crystal cutting through the tops of trees. "I wonder where it'll land," she said to herself, watching the sky one last time before turning back to the battle. "There's no use fighting him, you know," Sora said, sighing in shame, "you're just going to die." She looked up at her 'master' [that's what he is, right?] and blew him a kiss wishing him luck. However, being herself, Sora wanted to turn it all into a game, but didn't say it aloud.
Although she wasn't conscience, the young girl still knew what was happening. From where she sat, hugging her legs to her chest in that dark cold place, the only other sound she could hear other than herself were the tears falling off her cheek, hitting water somewhere below her; but after several minutes went by. She felt scared and alone; hadn't that girl said she'd be here with her? Wasn't she here last time? Then, why was she left alone in the darkness, without even spec of light she could use to see.
[[Let's bring some Meggie into the picture, shall we? twisted oh, and out in the ancient forest, I had my other charrie, layla a.k.a ice princess who now suddenly has a boyfriend, find the stone.xD so, if you want it....]

Kaori growled, baring her fangs as she saw Mergex toss the stone away. She didn't flinch as he landed before her, only letting her growling increase. Her hands clenched tightly around the fire and sword she held, the fire shaping it's way around to envelope her hand. "I have no time to waste on you," she snarled, slowly taking a step back from him. Then she suddenly broke to the woods, sprinting as fast as she could but managing to keep one eye upon him as well in case he still decided to attack. Her teeth wre gritted tightly, fangs still in plain sight with her rage. But this time she didn't lose her head, recalling what had happened last time with her eye.
Kai growled in his throat as well, then stepped quickly forward, placing himself between the retreating Kaori and Mergex himself. He held his sword pointed at him in his injured hand, completely ignoring the pain it caused. His narrowed eyes went towards Sora for an instant as she spoke, then looked away again quickly. It was pissing him off, how annoying she was being and using Meghan's body to act that way.

She looked over, suddenly seeing Kaori sprint for the forest. "Oy popet," she called out to Kaori, "where do ya thing your going?" She started at a run, trying to catch Kaori before she made it into the forest. "Having you running will mess up your pertty little hair, now, won't it?" she asked, wondering if she'd stop. She saw, out of the corner of her eye, Kai glance at her. "What's wrong, Kai? Don't tell me your jelous!" she called out to him before laughing, continuing to try to intervein Kaori's escape.
