The 10 minutes are up, John can continue down the path to the 3rd door, while Arrin needs to post 3 times to get there (one to reach the opened first door the second to reach the second opened door, and another to reach the third door)

Apparently having forgotten what happened the last time John spoke in that tone Bit let loose a shrill yell as the ground shook and she scrabbled back up onto John causing him to wince as her nails dug into his back. John watched as the door slid a different way this time leaving in it's space only more path to follow." I swear if this is a trap by those islanders to make us get lost and confused and die I'm going to haunt Rachel in the afterlife for this." he snarled. One riddle was fine two was annoying but acceptable but as he jogged down the path he had this feeling that there would be more riddles in between him and getting out of the damned temple. Reaching yet another door he kicked at the floor in frustration how the hell were riddles testing his worthyness.

(Arrin again cannot answer since she is not at the door) You have found another door, this one has some words carved into it just like the last one but the carvings are filled with gold!. The carvings were in english like the last, arent you lucky? So, are you ready to take The Final Stone Door's Test?! The riddle reads: ' Voiceless it cries, wingless it flutters, lifeless it dies, bodiless it shudders. What is it?'

With Bit clinging to him and shaking John was thankfull at least that she was silent. there was still no sign of Arrin but at least the other pirate would have an easier time of it with John forging ahead. Resuming his typical pacing John began to work out this latest test of his intelligence interested that the carvings had gold fillings. Unfortunately John didn't know this riddle so he was back to thinking about it on his own." Wind it's wind now let me out of here " Giving his awnser this time John bet that the door would side left since it couldn't possibly go up.

Arrin wandered down the lefthand path next to John. She hadn't ever really spoken to the other pirate, but she figured it could be worse; she could be stuck with Jamie and Nicolas. John had one of the island monkeys too, and his kept up a constant chattering noise with Arrins. Abruptly, the male pirate stopped as he reached a door. He attempted to open it, but it refused to move. There was a riddle carved on the door...
(Sorry I haven't been here. Oh, and I really don't understand how this timing thing works, but I hope it won't be held against our team that we're in different time zones. Oh, and I'm posting from back a few pages, before the first riddle, right?)

The floor shakes underneath John again, the rumbling could be felt through the whole temple. The door rumbled and cracked, then crumbled into dust! More of the path could be seen, but there was some light at the end of it! You better hope that isn't some trick and ends up beign another door!
John and Arrin have another 10 minute break before they can continue into the path to the light. Arrin can use this time to catch up to John at the third door whee
(The timing works from when the riddle is shown, to when an anser is given. Once the answer is declared right or wrong, the time stops. If it is wrong, you take a time penalty and the punshment, if it is right, you go into a 10 minute break that is added to your time. Lowest time wins.
That means that time zones will not affect it as much as it would if it was a normal race. Since this goes by time to answer each riddle correctly after the riddle is revieled.
Arrin was left behind, you should RP that she is trying to catch up. You need to make three posts to make it to the 3rd door that is now opened sweatdrop )

(Ok. I'm going to leave that first post...she'll just have a little "mishap" and fall behind for a while. Sorry for being so easily confused by all this.)
As John stood muttering to himself about the riddle some distance ahead of her, Arrin's monkey suddenly went berserk. Noramally a docile creature, it leaped from her shoulder and tore back along the passage. "Hey! What are you doing?!" she gasped. Completely forgetting about John, Arrin took off in the direction from which they had come to try to rescue her monkey from whatever had startled it. "Gah...curse you...little...beast...." she panted. Arrin wasn't terribly used to sprinting, and she didn't much enjoy it.

" You know what Bit, I'm going to haunt Rachel when I die anyways" The young man murmured reaching up to pet the startled monkey. Even John had been startled when the door just fell apart, That fact that he could now see light however was nice though. John could faintly hear footsteps and voices following him and was glad to know nothing bad had befallen his female partner " Arrin there's a way out I think just keep following the tunnel I'll meet you outside." he called back down the path. Feeling better than he had since he'd started John flat out ran towards the light.

After what seemed to be a very long time, Arrin caught up with her primate companion. "Ah! There you are! What on earth do you mean, running off like that? We're supposed to be back there helping John." Grumbling at the waste of time, Arrin scooped up the monkey and transferred it to her shoulder. "Can't think what's gotten into you." Arrin looked up and was astonished to realize that she was almost back to the entrance of the temple! "Oh great...it'll take forever to catch up now. Let's go...and no running off again!" Arrin set off towards where the door was. When she got there, she found yet another surprise; not only was John no longer there, but neither was the door! There was just an opening into another passageway. John must have gotten tired of waiting for her and gone on. Arrin picked up her pace a little bit, hoping to catch up with him before she got herself lost.

Arrin continued down the passage, hoping she'd meet up with the other pirate soon. The acoustics of the passage seemed to be playing tricks on her; she thought she heard John's voice once, but he was nowhere in sight. At one point she passed through something that seemed to have been a doorway once, but again, it had no door. She wondered what John had had to do to open that one and cursed herself inwardly for not having been there. She heard John's voice again, slightly more distinct this time. "...meet you outside." Then she turned a corner, and there was another doorway. She started walking faster and faster until she was almost running. It was definitely getting lighter...there must be a way to the outside up ahead! Arrin's speed increased again, and before she knew it she was heading into the light. (I think I have enough posts now...is that right?)

Through the light is a white marble room, near the furthest path, you can see two of your crewmates, Jamie and Nicolas. It seems like this place is a meeting room for the people who were able to pass the three door tests.

"Great just great we're still not outside." John grumbled entering the marble room. Spotting Jamie and Nicolas he jogged over to them " please tell me you found a way out please?." John was getting sick and tired of traipsing through the temple. Bit finally feeling safe jumped down and sat at John's feet.

Arrin broke through into the light-and stopped abruptly. "Huh...it's not a way out. How strange." Just then she realized that the three other pirates were in the room. "Oh. Hi there. Sorry about that, John...the little scamp just got away from me there for a minute." She indicated the monkey on her shoulder, then lapsed into silence. She really wasn't a good conversationalist, and she didn't have much to say to Nicolas and Jamie anyway. Or John, really...she just wasn't good with people. Then inspiration struck. "I wonder what happened to the others?"

Time scores for eligible teams are in!
The first Number are the minutes taken to answer the riddles correctly, the second number are the three breaks. They are added together to create your Time Score. Lowest Time Score wins.
Nicolas + Jamie: (28 Minutes) + (30 Minutes of Breaks) = 58 Minutes Johan + Arrin: (9 Minutes) + (30 Minutes of Breaks) = 39 Minutes
Once Rachel, Katherine, and Gabriel make it to the Marble Room, the prizes will be awarded biggrin
