Jay was engaged in a three-way staring match. What the hell was going on? What was he supposed to do? The adult danced in place, a low groan issuing. This was the King's problem, not his!

Amaree dropped the kill beside Rellick's and walked over to Areli, checking on her quickly before returning to Rellick's side. She eyed Jax and smirked at Brooke. "Looks like you've got cub duty, dear." Amaree tossed her head and laughed. She pawed Brooke on the face. "Good luck. He looks like a troublemaker." Amaree looked Jax over and called him forward. "You... Jax is it? Come here, I want to look at you." She said, making eye contact with Rellick to make sure it was okay.

Rell nodded in approval. Amaree would keep him in line too.
At the shout, Rell jerked up from his lying position. He leapt down and trotted out of the den, surveying the area. "Jay?"
The black Lion came to his attention quickly and he ran over, sliding to a stop with a shake of his head. "Jay what's wrong?"
He noticed the cubs. "Errrrm.. Hi?" He murmured in a bewildered tone.

"They just popped out of the bushes." Relieved that the King was now there, the Dark Prince slid into a laying position. "Thought it would be best if you took care of it."
Revyn gawked at both of the lions. They looked like him! "H-Hi..." His eyes darted between both of the males.
"It's all your fault we're here, Revyn!" Aygra poked Revyn, noting that his friend wasn't going to be saying anything. "I'm sorry that we didn't announce ourselves, but we kind of...fell into your lands..." He was confused, who was he supposed to be addressing? Instinct said the fully grown male, but he had called for the red and gold one...Who was in charge?

Rell stepped closer, standing tall and twitching his tail as he surveyed the young males. "Fell, into my lands?"
He chuckled at the dark cub. "Hello to you.. What are your names?"
A slight breeze picked up, stirring his mane and whispering over his crimson coat. In the late sun, he gleamed like blood and gold, magnificent and imposing.

Amaree surveyed the cub. "There will be no trouble making once you're in the den, got it? Areli is over there... she's recovering from a hunting accident. Seeing as she's recouping right now.. when Rellick's not around, The adult females are in charge... so we WILL be keeping an eye on you. You will be Brooke's responsibility otherwise. Do you understand?" She pawed him on the face and growled low to show him that she was serious. "I'm Amaree... as long as you don't cause any more problems, you should have a pretty comfortable stay around here."

Jayvyn watched the young King, purring. He didn't realize he was purring or that he was so intently watching him. Damn that was one sexy lion...
"Revyn..." The little male shrunk in on himself.
"Aygra." The teal one imitated the King. So the teen was the King? This was a weird pride... "Rev tripped over a stick and we both fell down the side of the hill."

Rell nodded. "Do you have parents? Or a home?"
He cocked his head, tail lashing, and shifted, his muscles sliding beneath his coat. He heard Jay's purr, but tried to ignore it, focusing on the cubs.
They were young, but seemed well fed and well taken care of.
Heart soft, Rell turned a reassuring smile on Rev.

"No...I don't know my parents..." Revyn said, ears drooping. A shy smile was returned to the King's. "And no home..."
"Same here...I know that my mother is the same color as me but...my sister is around here somewhere..."

"Really?!" Revyn bounded forward, twining aroung the King's legs. "I can stay here?"
"Mommy left." Aygra shrugged and glanced back at the brush. "So Dolsia and I went looking for a home."

Rell leaned down and licked the dark cub, smiling. "Of course you can!"
With a frown, he eyed Aygra.
"Well.. Do you want to stay here too Aygra?" He offered in a gentle voice. "You do not have to if you don't want too.. But, you are welcome."

Aygra watched his only friend, pleased that he was happy. When the same question was posed to him he only nodded. "Thank you...I think I will stay..."

Brooke grinned and bopped Amaree with her muzzle.
'Thanks! You make it sound like a death sentence!' She said sarcastically.
Jax looked up at Brooke, and then reluctantly emerged from behind one of her legs, he padded up to her. He sat down promptly, listening to Amaree. When she finished, he nodded meekly. The moment he was sure that she was done, though, he scrambled back to the saftely of hiding behind Brooke's legs.
Brooke giggled and looked over to Rellick.
'He can curl up with me for a while.' She said. 'I think he's a little... nervous right now.'
((Omg! More cubbehs! They can sooooo help influence Jax now! xDD
Poor little troublemaker xD))
Jax saw the other cubs. He wanted to leap out and have some fun with them. He felt one of Brooke's hind paws tracking up to step on his tail, and her lowereing her head to whisper. 'Not now, Jax...'

Areli's ears twitched softly as she lay in the den, her shoulder continueing to be apain to her. It hurt alittle, but, she now was going to ignore it. She murmured something to herself as she heard chatter outside. She forced herself onto her paws, and limped slowly out of the den. Her eyes wandered over the lands, before she saw the others.... but, there where new lions she never saw before, little cubs. She smiled weakly, as she limped over to the pride members that she knew, along with the cubs she didn't. She walked next to Rellick, and nuzzled against him softly, then nicely bopped Amaree an the cheek, and with her tail feathers she brushed Brooke with a calm smile. She then glanced at Jay, but her smile didn't fade strangly. It just grew slightly, and she nodded to the adult male, before looking down at the new cubs. "Well, who to we have here?" she asked.
[does that make up for my oneliner ninja ]
