Rose walked through the crowds confused, the bags of food bumping her leg as she walked. It seemed to her that she had gotten herself lost. She looked around and sighed. "Serenity's going to kill me when she finds out I got myself lost", she said. Rose walked by a small store and watched as a thief stole a womens purse. "You pitiful thief....youll pay for your insolence", Rose said angrily. Rose grabbed one of the daggers and threw it at the thiefs neck. The thief fell forward and let out his last gasp of air. Rose picked up the purse and gave it back to the women. "I am sorry but I believe this is yours", she said kindly. Rose searched the thiefs pocket and laughed happily as she found her missing amulet. "Yes! My amulet...this was the thief that stole it!" Rose put her amulet on and watched as started to glow a faded blue. Serneity sat down and figeted anxiously. Rose was late and she couldn't help but worry. "Rose what is taking so long?"

Iro huffed at him, ignoring the priests now. "What do you mean I'm 'not helping?' It's not my fault you dragged me in here!"

Rose came to a temple and walked inside. She could see priests around her and looked around. "Hmmm what is this place?" Rose's amulet glowed in the dark light.
Serenity sat figeting and finally got up. She walked down the road looking for Rose. "Rose where did you go?"

"Well yes, but it's not making any better impression on the people here that you're making us break even more protocol," Ryushi hissed. It wasn't that he was breaking protocol that bothered him, though- he did that all the time. It was, however, making him suspiscious. The priest could quite possibly have thought Ryushi had gotten some girl pregnant. It certainly would top off the list.
Now, he was just left to stare awkwardly at the priests until they came back with his dad. Or did something about it. He thought he'd seen another priest go off- hopefully that was to get his dad, and not some means of restraining him.

"What is the trouble, my son?" asked Reitoku with a soft, graceful sort of voice. "I am sure that our priests would prefer to go to sleep?" he said, gesturing to the priests around them. They made half-assed shakes of the head, though- they wanted to see what would transpire.

Rose amulet glowed a bright red then she became invisible. The amulet granted the user protection and as it now seemed invisibility when it was needed. Rose walked through the temple and started to get lost once again. The temple was big and she soon bumped into a girl. (Iro) Rose fell down and was surprised there was no time she looked down and saw she could not see herself. "The amulet it must have activated." Rose touched the amulet and watched as she grew visible again. She looked at Iro and then at the ground. "I am so sorry for bumping into you....ummm I kind of got lost...do you know the way out of here?"
Serenity soon came upon the dead thief and crouched down. "This is Rose's dagger...I hope she didn't get into trouble." Serenity continued down the road and tried to find her sister.

With the continuous flow of people entering and leaving the great city, Azurus, in her normal clothing - a short sleeve shirt, long pants, and a dark silver colored cloak, hardly stood out from the rest of the crowd. With a small lantern in hand in the darkness, the shadows around it caused her to gain a menacing presence for those who noticed her. Looking around at the buildings, some brightly lit in the darkness, others pitch black, she looked for a nearby inn in which she could rest.
She had been traveling for quite some time, finally making it to the city she had always wanted to visit ever since she was a young child, listening to stories at the dinner table. As soon as she walked into the city grounds, Azur could immediately tell that she had reached her destination. Stretching out her hand, she snatched a small bit of mana that drifted loftily around the city, replenishing her reserve.

After exploring a small section of the city over the last hour or so, Azurus finally settled on a small inn in a quiet alleyway off the main road. It was a small cozy place, with only a few boarders for the night. Speaking to the owner of the inn, "My name's Azurus and I would like to stay here for the night. About how much would that cost?"
"2 gold pieces for one night" replied the owner.
Azur pulled out a small bag of coins from a pocket and took out 2 small golden coins, handing it to the owner.
"Thank you ma'am" said the owner, who then called over a worker who was at that time cleaning some of the emptied tables. "Would you please show Azurus to her room? She gets the room on the far left side, on the corner."
The worker nodded, "Follow me ma'am" and he started walking upstairs toward the rooms. Opening the door with a small key, "Here you are." Nodding, he handed the key to Azur. "Have a nice stay."
"Thank You"
And as the worker vanished around the corner back downstairs, Azur closed the door and locked it behind her, with the extra lock on the inside so no one would be able to enter from outside. Taking her bag of belongings, she dropped them next to the bed, pulled off her shoes, then crawled into the bed, pulling the sheets over her and falling quickly asleep.

Serenity looked through the streets and sighed. She had been looking for her sister for two hours so far. Serenity passed a small in and went inside. "I may as well get a room for us for tonight." Rose walked in and went to the cashier. "Umm how much is it for a room for two people?" The man looked at her and grunted "four coins". Serenity got out four coins and handed them to the man. The man looked over at the worker and said "Direct this women over to the room right next to the women who just came in." Rose followed the worker and opened the door to the hotel room. "This would suit us nicely." Serenity sat down on the bed and looked out of the window. She took out her amulet and traced a sign on it. "The mana in my amulet will transfer to the mana in her amulet and should contact her about my location."
Rose saw her amulet glow once more. This time a pale pink. She touched it and got a vision of her sister and a small inn.

A bright light streamed through curtains that hadn't completely covered the window during the night, effectively waking Azur up from a long night's sleep. Opening her eyes slightly then closing them immediately since her eyes hadn't adjusted to the light, she sat up, rubbing her eyes then reopened them, blinking as everything came back into focus. Yawning and stretching a bit before climbing of the bed, Azur pulled out a comb and straightened out her hair, putting it back into a neat ponytail.
After making sure that her clothing was at least presentable and rinsing her face with water, she picked up her belongings and walked back downstairs, said good morning and goodbye to the owner, then walked back onto the noisy streets of the city, looking for a small cafe or shop where she could get some breakfast.
After finding a small cafe near the corner of two large connecting streets, ordering a plate of eggs and toast, Azur sat in one of the outside tables, waiting for her breakfast to come.

Iro gazed suspiciously at the man from her post behind Ryu, not completely sure what to do. Clearly this man had power, she could tell by his robes and the way he carried himself. "Ummm...what do we do now...?" she whispered in Ryu's ear, having become completely oblivious to the fact that she was still very much annoying him.

"I bring today a girl who wishes for sanctuary" enunciated Ryushi distinctly. As he spoke, he took a step forward, bowing at High Priest Kurohana. It was all he could do to keep his own eyes averted towards Reitoku, without keeping actual eye contact. To look him in the eyes could be seen as a horrible insult in the eyes of the other priests, as would looking at the priests and not his father. Not that it mattered, but he really thought it would be a good idea to lie a bit lower, considering how things were going. "Though, I have not heard the entire story."
"Oh?" asked Kurohana Reitoku with a fatherly, curious tone of voice.
"Well, then," said Reitoku, speaking in his friendly, slow voice, "I would like to hear your story. Let us come into my chambers; I am sure our priests would prefer to retire until the morning comes." He cast a look at the prying eyes and ears around them. They could take a hint when they were given one, but were not entirely happy about being shut out. They filed out.

Serenity woke up and noticed she had fallen asleep. "Rose....she hasn't came back yet...." Serenity got up and rushed out of the inn into the busy street. Serenity looked at the clouds and sighed. It looked like it might start to rain today.
Rose stood behind a pillar and listened to Ryushi's conversation. He looked familiar but Rose could not think of where she saw him before. She looked down at her amulet and noticed it had stopped glowing. "Serenity is probally mad at me now....but something tells me the information exchanged in this conversation might be useful. Maybe he was a victim or boss of one of our previous assisination jobs..."

Iro followed Ryu and the priest silently, still confused and half scared. What if he kicks me out? she thought, What will I do if he turns me over to Them?

The last of the priests left. High Priest Kurohana waited until the door had closed behind him to turn around. "Come, my children," he said in a welcoming voice, before walking back to the back courtyards.
Ryushi nodded solemnly at Iro and followed after him, trying not to mind the hollow echoes of his footsteps through the temple. His father led them through the back courtyard, to the back-right side of it- a small building sat there, beside the cave which the river came from. As he approached, the door swung open from Reitoku's will.
Ryushi waited for his father to make an inviting motion inwards before following him inside.

Rose watched the door closed and looked at the priests. "Maybe I can get some information from them.." Rose took out a dagger and smiled. She crept around the side of the pillar and set her eyes on one of the priests. "You should do nicely."
Serenity walked through the streets and walked into a cafe. She saw Azur in the corner and only gave her a brief glace. Serenity sat down ordered a cup of tea. She waited and watched as a skinny blond women came with her tea. "Is it just me or is it actually cold today",the women said. Sernity looked up at the waiter and smiled. "Yes, I believe it might rain too." The waiter smiled back and walked back into the kitchen. Serenity took a sip of her tea and sighed.
