i've never been to a live theater show, but "Hamilton" has always interested me. I've heard it's a big deal with cool music and a great story. I'd love to see it someday and see what all the fuss is about.

I have been able to experience a drama once before. When I was about 8 years old I had gone to see Lion King on Broadway. It was so enjoyable considering it was one of my favorite movies at the time. I really did enjoy the musical. The last play I read was one for this class, the cat on a hot tin roof. I didn’t love it as I truly just don’t enjoy reading which makes it hard for me to enjoy. My only experience with Ballet was from doing it myself. I have never seen an opera or live ballet aside from just dancing for about 13 years myself. I remembered watching some films of plays in high school which I remember enjoying. I prefer to watch the play then read it.

My wife and I got to a lot of Broadway shows. My favorite is Little Shop of Horrors. It has dark subject matter, but is presented in a light hearted way. The songs and the acting for this show are outstanding considering it is actually off Broadway.

My daughter did ballet for a few years. She does competative travel dance now, but ballet was never really my thing. It seems very interpretive and I could never really get into it. The people that do like it really seem to love it, though.

When it comes to movies vs. theater productions I think I would choose the theater production most of the time. In the example of Little Shop of Horrors, the movie is outstanding, but something about being in the theater and seeing the live perfomance is just more exciting for me.

I have read The Zoo Story, although I can't remember when or why, but I generally liked it. The way that plays and scripts are written limit the descriptive nature of writing, in my opinion. I prefer a long, detailed writing style similar to King, Martin or Tolkien, personally.

The last play I've ever read was Agamemnon, which is a funny coincidence that Electra is one of the readings for this course! I made it my 2024 reading goal to read as many Greek plays as I possibly can. I've been enjoying the Oresteia trilogy and am excited to continue Electra for the course, as I'm a quarter through the play.

I've seen Wicked and Little Shop of Horror live! One was Broadway, and the other was Off-Broadway. I enjoy musicals a lot, and from these two experiences, I've enjoyed Off-Broadway more! The environment feels so much better and intimate, and the sound is perfect no matter where you sit.

I have no experience with opera, and little experience with ballet. I've never seen a ballet live, but I tend to fixate on things frequently and for a while, Swan Lake was one of my fixations! I was obsessed with the music, the dance, and the story. I would watch a full production nearly every single night before bed.

I have seen many film adaptations, and I don't think a film adaptation of a play or musical has ever been better than the play or musical itself. However, I will say that I find the movie Chicago a million times better than the live show. (It is one of my favorite movies of all time, so I may be biased.)

I personally am not the biggest fan of drama. I maybe enjoy it on TV but it’s not usually the first thing that interests me when I’m watching. Although nowadays most of the TV shows and movies you watch tend to have a lot of drama. WORD COUNT: 46

I have never attended a professional drama performance but I would love to see one some day. The last play I read was Romeo and Juliet in high school, I definitely enjoyed reading it. I have never watched a musical drama. I am not really interested in drama performances. WORD COUNT: 49

No, I haven't attended a professional drama performance. the only one I have read was Great Gatsby in high school, I wouldn't say I liked reading it. I wouldn't say I like watching any drama and will never watch it because I think it is so boring to watch dramas. I have no experience in Oprah and Ballet. No i have never watched a Film/Tv adaptation of a play before.
