Chii
"Okay!" Chii said, nodding her head. She showed Wynter how to cook them, which was super simple since the batter was already made. She kept pouring batter into a hot pan and flipping the pancakes one by one, until there was a stack of fifteen pancakes. She then started whipping some liquid dairy in a bowl until it started to turn into whipped cream, almost winded by the process. Whipping cream was so tiring... but super worth it. Chii let Wynter cut up the strawberries. As soon as it was done, she set the table and brought all of the platters of food to it. The last thing to pull out was bacon and sausage for Master's breakfast out of the oven, and it always made her super nervous she was going to burn herself. So she quickly pulled the pan out with the oven mitts and set it on the stove top to cool down. Luckily none of the grease splattered on her this time... she poured the grease into a tin can and then put them all on the plate and brought that to the table, too.
As soon as that was done she sat down at her spot at the dinner table, and told Wynter she could, too. They didn't have to wait at all, because Jun walked in and looked at them.
"Good Morning, Master!"
"Morning."
Jun sat down at his spot at the dining table, at the front. He looked at everything that was on the table, and just looked across. His eyes landed on Wynter.
"Where the hell is my beer? Go get it. That's your job now."

☠『Wynter』☠ Wynter watched Chii curiously as she made the pancakes, at first too busy watching the girl instead of doing the part she was supposed to. She did okay with the strawberries, they weren't super even slices, but she figured it didn't matter too much when it came to pancakes.
The girl felt a little useless watching her do all this, but it's not like she would be amazing help either, being so out of tune with what was considered feminine work. So, she simply followed after Chii and sat down at a seat. Her gaze scanned all the food, unable to help her urge to just start stuffing her face. She was just about to give in, until Jun showed up. She didn't say anything at first, then she felt his gaze on her, telling her to grab a beer for him. Greeeaaaat.
The wintry girl discreetly rolled her eyes, standing and hoping the beer would shut him up and get him to ******** off. So she wandered off to the kitchen, grabbed one, and slid it over across the table before she went to go sit back down and have her meal.
"There."

Jun╔...................................................... ╗ He Who Makes a Beast Out of Himself Gets Rid of the Pain of Being a Man ╚ ..................................................... ╝
"No."
Jun said sternly, narrowing his eyes at her after she sat down. He held up his glass beer mug, looking at her still, as if she was completely and utterly stupid. In this universe, beer was only made and then sealed in glass bottles individually, or in extra large bottles that could be used for groups of people. Either way, a bottle opener had to be used. And Jun didn't go lightly on his beer, so there was nothing but the extra large bottles. However he didn't like drinking straight out of a giant bottle. So he used a traditional tavern style beer mug, or a stein.
"Are you ******** retarded? Open it with a bottle opener. And pour it. In my glass."
He didn't look very amused.
"And every time I run out of my cup, you better gun your a** over here and refill it every ******** time."

KisaThe Beacon of Light (( * ~ Song ~ * ))
"Green finch and linnet bird, Nightingale, blackbird, How is it you sing?"
"How can you jubilate, Sitting in cages, Never taking wing?"
"Outside the sky waits, Beckoning, beckoning, Just beyond the bars."
"How can you remain, Staring at the rain, Maddened by the stars?"
"How is it you sing Anything?"
"How is it you sing?"
Tomorrow was the day. The day she was officially going to be married to Demitrious Varibon Reseria. She was walking outside, on the castle grounds. Originally she had come out to enjoy the view of the garden, but Kisa slowly found herself along the inside of the fence and walking the perimeter of it. She could see the other side of it in some places, seeing parts of the city in the distance right outside. She had spent the morning enduring beauticians and servants picking and prodding at her, getting her ready for the wedding. Kisa had never had a pedicure or a manicure in her life, but apparently she had to put in a lot of effort to look at perfect as possible tomorrow. It made her insanely uncomfortable to be pampered and gussed-up by a bunch of other people... back at home, she did everything herself, she didn't have a team of servants, and she never wanted one. She wouldn't get used to treatment like this...
Kisa felt intense anxiety ever since she left Aquaria... The closer and closer it got to the wedding, the more her anxiety intensified. And... knowing what was going to happen the day, and the night-of, filled her heart with dread. She felt trapped. She had felt trapped all along, of course, but the more and more she got to know Demitrious the worse and worse she felt. Her emotions were starting to boil up, and it got increasingly difficult to keep herself in check. Singing usually made her feel happy... but today, her heart was full of sorrow.
Kisa wasn't allowed to leave the castle grounds, without someone escorting her... This place was going to be her prison... for the rest of her life. The title of princess that she had ignored most of her life, was now the very thing that got her locked away. She knew it was the right choice to wield her royal title, accept this treaty, and save her father and her country... But she couldn't hold her grief in. She felt as though her soul was being ripped out, and thrown in the garbage.
Her previous life was going to be a shining beacon of hope for many, back at the church... Kisa could use her abilities to heal people, both physically and mentally. The church was her family, and she didn't get to see them ever again. Her religion was all but banned here. It was killing her not to pray and practice her religion in a church. All she had was a couple pieces of holy jewelry, and her hands to pray with. She felt like she was betraying herself, and her deity. Her very essence.
"My cage has many rooms, Damask and dark. Nothing there sings, Not even my lark."
"Larks never will, you know, When they're captive. Teach me to be more adaptive."
"Green finch and linnet bird, Nightingale, blackbird, Teach me how to sing."
This wouldn't be so hard if she had a safe place to practice her religion. Or at least... getting married to the other prince, Thorival... He was a good person... maybe even the only good person in this entire country. All of the people she had met here thus far were horrible. But no one was more horrible than Demitrious, and his father. She had been trying to give them a chance, she was trying so hard to be forgiving and unjudgemental... but the better she got to know him, the more awful she realized he was. He thought himself better than anyone else, as if they were all dirt to stomp on... He was a perverted man with absolutely no mercy, no sense of decency. He only cared about himself, and his own goals. Everyone else was just canon-fodder. Corpses will keep piling high, and he would see it as worth it to achieve his distorted desires. He was a childish brat with over-whelming power and control.
Kisa forced herself to keep that kind of thinking in the back of her mind, and keep trying to have faith... Maybe she could change him for the better... If she tried hard to be a good wife... Maybe he really would be a nicer person... not just to her, but to everyone... Maybe he just needed someone to love him... and maybe that person could be her... Just like the way she healed people in church...
But it didn't stop the fear, the anxiety, and the anguish, from pouring in and overwhelming her.
"If I cannot fly..."
Kisa paused for a moment, realizing tears were falling down her face. She reached up to dry them off her cheeks, but they just kept flowing.
"Let me sing."
She tried to stop crying, but the harder she tried the worse the tears came pouring out. She felt complete and utter despair. The soul shattering feeling just wouldn't leave her... Kisa was a bird locked away, and she would never leave her cage. No matter how beautifully she sang, no matter how much she plead, no matter how many tears she cried. And by 'choice', if one could call it that. She kept trying to remember what she was fighting for: her entire country, her father, her uncle, everyone at the church...
I should be grateful they traded a horrible fate for Aquaria in exchange for my life... She remembered her father scolding her, telling her to not be so selfish, that it was more than a fair trade... one life, for thousands... I should be happy... What is wrong with me... Why won't this feeling go away... Be thankful, be happy... happy I could save everyone... It's the right thing to do. It's the just thing to do.
She wouldn't change her 'choice', if she did it over. Even knowing what a terrible, disgusting person her fiancé was. She would choose it all over again, for her people. But it did not wipe the sorrow and terror away.
I'm terrified... I'm so, so scared... What's going to happen to me..?
Don't be selfish... Her father's voice rang in her head again. Don't be selfish...
Kisa knelt down on the ground with her hands clasped together around her silver moon necklace, tears still flowing down her face, as she began to pray with more intensity than she ever had in her life.
Please guide me through this Hell... I will endure whatever I must... as long as you are by my side...
Even though her holy ground was millions of miles away, surely her deity would hear her, and give her hope.
"Moon, please guide me... Please give me courage."

☠『Wynter』☠ Wynter had just sat down, but wasn't surprised when she had done something wrong. She slowly looked back over at Jun, meeting his unamused gaze with her own. She listened to whatever whining it was about how the beer was given to him, sighing and muttering something about why it mattered that much.
With an annoyed stare, she stood back up and wandered back into the kitchen to find a bottle opener. Once she found it, she came straight out and used it to pop the large bottle open. She snatched the mug over, poured it sloppily on purpose, and shoved it back over with a glare.
"Whoops. My bad. What would I know about pouring others glasses?"
Wynter knew she should be thinking about her behavior or whatever, but damn this was annoying as all hell.

Thorival Reseria
Having been training in the garden all day, trying to keep his mind off of the wedding that is going to be taking place tomorrow. With each swing of the sword against the invisible target dummy, his anger threatens to boil over within him.
"Damn it.... Damn.... It...."
Gritting his teeth, the thought of Kisa marrying Demitrious has become a poison upon his mind. Thorival has seen nothing but self gratifying, selfish motives in each and every action that his brother took. Thorival remembers the scars that Demitrious inflicted upon his heart by showing "Proof" that Kisa was his and his toy alone. Every step the eldest prince took, a reminder of the fact Kisa was stuck in the youngest's hands.
After swinging the sword multiple times, he lays down on the grass. Looking up to the sky. Wondering how this situation came to be. Not because Kisa was being married to someone else, but the fact she was now... a bird stuck in a cage by the higher forces... she didn't do anything wrong so why is this happening? Why is he so weak and powerless to do anything about it?
"This isn't right...."
After laying there, he closes his eyes and drifts asleep. After a while he is awoken to the sound of singing. Knowing immediately who that is, he continues laying down. Waiting, wanting to listen to her voice more and more. The soothing tones that emanates from her lips.
"ah...."
After she stops singing, he stands up slowly, making sure she isn't startled by his presence. He softly speaks.
"Quite the singing voice you have. You'd do great in the local hymnal choir."

Jun cocked one eyebrow at her. Was this b***h serious? She wasn't even trying to hide the fact she was doing it completely intentionally. Alright, fine. Since she had already spilt quite a bit of beer doing that... he simply picked up his mug and dumped the entire cold contents on top of her head. It was a pretty large mug, so the golden liquid started running down her hair and going down into her top.
"Whoops."
He said in a mocking voice, and set his beer mug back on the table.
"Want to try that again, slutcow? I'll be nice and give you a second chance."

KisaThe Beacon of Light
Kisa could hear someone, and she instantly tenses up after quickly standing up from her praying position There was someone else out here? She was so close to the fence, she wasn't sure if she could get in trouble for having looked out of it, or being too close to it. Plus, praying would probably get her in deep s**t... And she really didn't need another reason for Demitrious to 'punish' her, or be angry with her.
Upon realizing it was Thorival, the pastel elf girl exhaled and relaxed herself. Thank goodness... Kisa blushed a little bit, a bit embarrassed he had heard her singing like that... she had thought she was alone.
"Oh, h-hello Senpai..." She said softly, tucking some loose hair behind her pointed ear. Kisa's eyes shot down to the grass beneath her, a bit nervous to see him because the last time he had seen her, Demitrious was being.... a jerk. She didn't truly understand what was going on between them, but Thorival's face had looked very upset before... and he had taken off so quickly... So, somehow, Demitrious flaunting her had made him sad. And she didn't want to do that to him again...
"How are you...?" She paused, "Local... hymnal?" Usually choirs were in relation to a church, and there wasn't much religion here. "A-Aa... no, I'm no where near that talented... I just sing for fun, since I used to do it a lot at church..."
Kisa gently tucked her pendant back under her clothing, not wanting to forget to hide it. She knew she didn't have to around Thorival, but she was very paranoid to forgot and have someone get offended by it... If she was forced to get rid of it, she would rather die... It was all she had left.

Thorival Reseria
"But you are talented. I got to hear the most beautiful tones I have ever heard come out of an elf's mouth. You do have talent. Did you use to sing in the choir in your church?"
The princely Knight walks up to Kisa and stands over her, looking down at her face, gazing into the face that will never be his.
"I think you should at least ask to sponsor a church here. There needs to be a moon to every sun. The moon shines because of the sun, and the moon helps the world with it's guiding light. The sun that we worship co exists with the moon that you love so much. If you say it that way to my brother, I am sure he will allow you to have a church to where you can practice your religion."
Thorival places his hand on her head and pets it.
"I see you clinging to your dear pendant with your life. I know how much it must hurt to be ripped away from everything. Why not bring one part of you here and allow it to flourish? I am sure with the union of the Reserian Elf and the Aquerian elf, there must need to be a mixture of culture right? If my father or Demitrious even denies that.... What was the whole point of the marriage anyway if that alone is denied? I will personally fight for it myself to help you carve something for yourself here. That's why I am becoming a knight, so I can carve out change and the injustice with justice of my own."
He brings her into a hug and just stands there, knowing that there will be no one else here to see.
"I want to hear your proud singing voice once again, your sad one is nice of it's own but it's sad that you're sad..... You need at least this. I know you do..."

☠『Wynter』☠ Wynter watched him pick up the mug, wondering if he was really going to drink it and tell her to just go eat. Though, she shouldn't have entertained the thought... because what else would she expect from him. After having the contents of the mug dumped over her head, her right eye would twitch. A shiver ran down her spine as she felt it trickle off her hair, right onto her clothing. Amaaazing.
The girl would narrow her eyes, wanting so badly to grab the mug and start beating him with it. Instead, she crossed her arms and glared.
"Not particularly. If you can dump it all over me, you can fill your own goddamn mug, can't you? Oh wait, you're a lazy piece of s**t. Forgot that."
Wynter would grab the mug after she got her comments in, filling it the right way and sliding it back over.

Jun╔...................................................... ╗ He Who Makes a Beast Out of Himself Gets Rid of the Pain of Being a Man ╚ ..................................................... ╝
Jun frowned at her. The snarkiness could be entertaining, but it stopped being charming when directly insulted. He reached into his pants pocket, and moved his hand around in there. Once he did so an electrical shock vibrated from Wynter's collar, giving off a fiery hot sensation for a split second from the zap. They didn't have electricity in these times, but magic made a lot of things possible. So he had a collar crafted that could cause pain at will, as long as one had the controller. It basically imitated a modern day dog-shock-collar, but with more power. Like a taser stuck around her neck only he could activate.
He waited a moment for her to process the pain.
"So... What am I, again? Let's hear it."

☠『Wynter』☠ Wynter raised an eyebrow at him, half waiting for a slap or a talking to. Her silver eyes darted down to his hand, wondering what exactly he was pulling out. She didn't have to spend long wondering, because boy did she feel that. The girl made a loud shriek as her body jolted, hands flying up to her neck in pain.
Her startled gaze shot to Jun after the initial shock, momentarily letting anger flash across her face. So the collar had more to it than showing status it seemed.
"No..."
Wynter spoke through clenched teeth, not sure if repeating it or refusing to say it would make things worse. Well, whatever she did in the end, she was screwed, right? It was a stupid game she was set up to lose.

"Good."
Jun just smiled ever so slightly, glad to have the sudden change in her after only one shock. That probably wasn't pleasant; He had never had to use it on Chii before, so her collar didn't even have that kind of ability. It was too fun to use against the rebellious ones, though. It was well worth the price tag.
"I have an announcement for the two of you, so pay attention." The dragon-man lifted his drink and took a chug, before setting it back on the table. "There's going to be a royal wedding tomorrow, Prince Demitrious ******** is marrying a princess from the country of Aquaria. And being the General, I have to attend. Which means you two are going. So both of you are going to go to the closet and try dresses on, after cleaning up breakfast. Since it's a formal event, I'll be choosing them. So hurry up, finish eating, and clean this s**t up."

As much as it irritated her to go quiet after a shock like that, it wasn't like it was a fantastic idea to keep pushing all the time. Now she couldn't stop fidgeting with the stupid thing.
At the sound of attending a wedding, let alone a goddamn royal one, she let her pissed expression snap to one of total confusion and surprise. She raised an eyebrow, sighing and finally wandering back over to her seat to try and at least cram one of those pancakes in her mouth.
"...Why would slaves go? Why not just leave us to do whatever bullshit cleaning instead...."

Jun╔...................................................... ╗ He Who Makes a Beast Out of Himself Gets Rid of the Pain of Being a Man ╚ ..................................................... ╝ Jun finished off his beer and set the glass down.
"Plenty of slaves are attending. Both castle servants, and personal pets."
He knew she was sort of new to the slave life... but was she really this dense. She was clearly not a common slave, by this point. The regular castle slaves had to do tons of grunt work, and got to eat s**t and sleep in the dirt on mats. Here she got treated much better, at least in the dragon's eyes. They were expected to do different jobs, usually, though. Surely any petty castle servant envied the slaves who were further up the chain.
"Besides, anyone with a brain knows having personal slaves is also a show of status."
More like dirty Reserian men of wealth and status likes oogling each other's hot piece of a** slaves. There were far fewer females of status with male slaves. But for either Masters or Mistresses, showing off the eye-candy that had to wear your name around their neck was a spectacle. Sometimes people even negotiated to buy someone else's, or even trade slaves. Rich people were very board, so playing slave-swap wasn't totally out of the norm. Having slaves was like.... a pet-collection game. You wanted to get rid of slaves than bore you, and trade for exotic rare pets, or pets you liked the look of, or pets that had specialized skills. There were even slave fight-rings, when the rich needed extra amusement.
But, of course, he didn't bother explaining all of that to Wynter.
