Speaking of which - said friend with this lovely clay nod made in my honor lmao
Ha! That's funny and cute! XD
I don't do much on the computer these days, so I usually have the Emojis to use. But definitely haven't forgotten all the nifty emotes (at first I was really anti-emoji. The name sounds even more silly)! The emoji version of the xD gets used a lot haha. I will still use the typed ones even on Facebook and even though most probably aren't familiar with them, they'll just have to figure it out xD The >:3 was always cute too! owo, uwu, o3o, :U, >:U, etc. Now that I think about it, there's a ton I've used lol.
The "lol" thing was true for me too. I typed a lot more properly in my Gaia days. I found myself giving in and using more acronyms as an adult. I figured there's a difference between typing like an idiot and just using some shorthand here and there. No fear of being seen as a nooby kid anymore I guess haha. I probably "laugh" too much and still gotta break it up with some "hahas" between the "lols".
Anyway, it's funny how we evolve over time and depending on where or with who we spend our time, those habits can rub off on us. Ah, technology -w-
