I'll try to be short and sweet, but no guarantees! wink

My [username's nick]name is Windsong, and I've been researching psionics/magick for about two years, more if you don't count the short break I took (darn christian family! xd ) I did a lot of my research at psipog.net, and I was really sad when they started taking away the interactive portions of the sight such as chat, membership, etc.

I first got interested in psionics and magick back when I was in 10th grade because a friend introduced me to it... I saw it and went crazy, as do most people upon introduction! sweatdrop I've remained interested in it because... well, because of what it is, I suppose. I've always been interested in the paranormal, so adding psi/psionics/psychic things (technically called parapsychology) is a natural addition.

Umm... H'mm, well, my main ability is my 'chameleon' trait, but I'm not sure how to describe it so that I don't sound like a freak... Well, long story short, you know how most people naturally mimick others that they hang around with? Well, I do a little more than that. My mimickry extends not only to the things the people tell me, but the things that they don't... it's kind of scary, sometimes, and when I first found out that I could mimick someone else's psychic abilities (to a much, much lesser extent, though!) it really freaked me out. I think, however, that I got too scared and blocked that particular part out because it hasn't happened again since.

Anyways, I'm also a slight empath, but I've set up a -lot- of sheilds subconsciously, so that a lot of times when I don't even notice anymore. I'm trying to figure out a way to turn off at least some of those shields, but... it's not going so well... lol

Hello, I am Iras, or if you prefer, you may call me by my given name Alex, or my spiritual name, Xaviera. I have been studying and in light practice of generalized magicks since I was very, very young (and in turn can’t remember why I started studying them) - however my skills have only been truly honed upon in this past year. I like to dabble in most forms of magic, however my focus is on astral projection, necromancy, pyrokinesis, and electrokinesis. I am otherkin, both my spirit and true self are a nagini (if you have never heard of this species… that is fairly common) and my spiritual guardian is some form of snake, although I have not discovered too much about it.

Right. No idea if I've introduced myself yet or not. But um..

My age isn't important. We're all born, we learn, and die - passing on what we know to our friends and kin to make their life better. Age is a commonly used term to put someone in a category of how to treat them and what to expect from them.

I've been into magick about 10 years. Broke a guitar string and didn't have a replacement string so I picked up a book sitting on the shelf in my apartment and read it. The rest is history.

I'm about 5'9'', 165 pounds. I wear black and white s lot, not because I feel all depressed-like, just because black and white are classic colours that look good on me. I throw a little red in there from time to time, depending on the occasion. Blond hair, gray eyes. I've got pictures of myself. PM me if you want them.

Not a whole lot to me. I'm a simple guy with simple tastes and a simple life. (sarcasm) Everything around me is a blur! I never have time to wake up in the morning, drink my coffee and get to work on time. Clean the apartment up a bit before the gan comes over and tears up the pad again. Stay up late, avoiding a nasty hangover, kiss whoever I'm sleeping next to, assuming I know her and she's still awake, and go to bed to repeat until the weekend. On weekends, I never know who I'm kissing and sleeping with.

However, I want to know EVERYTHING. Literally. Except... half of what I learn about I'm too terrified to learn any more about -- the human mind does have its limits, you know! sweatdrop Right. Right... in as few words as I can.

I am Rune Wraith. Obviously not my real name, but its what my Gaia handle is. I've been studying magic, the occult, and the supernatural all my life (and thats a long time, as I'm pushing 40.) I've studied most forms of magic, and have researched in particular the history of witchcraft and the popular perception of it, especially in Tudor Stewart England. I collect medieval grimoires, and I'm trying to bone up on my medieval Latin so I can translate a latin copy of the Picatrix. I also collect Tarot cards, and used to be quite good at giving readings, though I am several years out of practice.

I've read extensively on Wicca and neo-paganism, Thelema, Sufism, and recently have been researching the Northern traditions (Runes, Seid, Galdor, etc.)

I hunt ghosts, and I've had a few experiences with them, including a full body apparition, and a rather minor poltergeist (although poltergeists aren't technically ghosts). As you'll see below, I don't believe everything is haunted. Presently, I've been asked to examine a supposedly 'haunted' antique.

I am, I have to tell you all right now, a very skeptical person. Don't get me wrong... I believe there is an 'occult world', I believe magic can function, I believe ghosts walk... but I demand a hell of a lot of proof of any claim of that. I don't believe every noise in the house is due to a ghost, or that every bad thing that happens is due to a curse, or every melted candle means someone was trying to summon a demon. Likewise I think claims of demonic involvement are most often a lot of nonesense.

There are many 'popular' beliefs today that I don't believe in AT ALL. Don't talk to me about them, and I won't say anything bad about them. These include Therianthropy, Otherkin, and Vampirism. If you *really* want to know my feelings on them, and want to hear a rant, PM me.

Wow.... rereading this post, I sound really brusque and nasty... I'm actually not. I'm actually a really nice guy, most of the time. I probably shouldn't have typed this and posted it while I was still feeling annoyed about something. rolleyes
