Yay for more concepts of diversity on the island - and an older character! smile . This would make the first ethnic Hispanic character on the island, not to mention that the concept of an illegal immigrant is a very good and easy way for Feral Labs to secret an individual onto the island who wouldn't be missed.

He's got a well developed personality - that sets him apart as an individual without being unrealistic.

Admittedly, I am rather fond of your twin concept - I think it was a great idea, but Ruben is a well-developed and interesting character in his own right.

First off, just a quick note - it's probably a good thing that you've got three animal choices available - I know for a fact that there are questers for the snow leopard and otters, so you have backups just in case smile

Keep an eye on some of your grammer - it's not bad, but you've got a few misplaced word usages (their/they're, tenses, some awkward sentence structure, etc)

A radio show host is an intersting slant.

Couple of questions:
He toured the world as a child with his parents - what did they do to be able to afford this? Was it their work that took them around the world? Were they independently wealthy and liked to travel? ((reading later, it says that they were both professors. That does include travel sometimes - short trips to conferences, and sometimes an extended sabbatical, but for the most part they would have to have a single location to teach for the semesters).

What sort of accident killed his parents? They traveled the world - did they visit a dangerous location? How did Gallen feel about this? You list a lot of sequential events, but how did they effect him? Did he like traveling? What countries affected him? What about his parents' death? Does he blame anyone?

After his sisters' disappearance, what did he do for funding? Did he have an inheritance from his parents?

The disappearance of the sister seems very cryptic to me without much explanation... I'm assuming that since you said you're still working on the concept that you're also working on developing what happened?

Also, keep in mind for his show, that while there have been 30 some odd individuals pulled to Moreau's island, that he IS careful, and draws them from all over the globe. Considering that Gallen is a radio host in just one city, albeit a big one, it's unlikely that there would be enough reports of Feral Labs disappearances that get to him unless he did a LOT Of digging and research, which he would have to be pointed at.
