It seemed that a brief reprieve from the mutated locusts as a result of Matt's efforts was exactly what Kyle needed in order to regain his bearings and pull himself together to launch a counterattack on the swarm.

Summoning his shurikens to his hands, Kyle took a deep breath and tossed them out, watching them fly through the air and cut down a couple of the locusts before returning to his hands. "So you mean to say that we're currently standing in the lair of one of these horsemen? What are the chances that this Dwight person is still alive and we haven't come all this way for nothing?"
The bag wouldn't fit all the accumulated weapons tablets, but it would fit a few. There was nothing on the bookshelves out of the ordinary-
- Except for a vial that Shu accidentally knocked over that began to hiss a yellow gas all over the room. The effect was instantaneous as she felt her body numb, eyes beginning to close. She needed to get out.

There were no keys, but it seemed with enough damage, perhaps the cages would bend.

Apparently Jason grabbed a little too hard-
- As he pulled her hand right off in a sickening squelching noise that left half tattered skin, flesh, sinew and a single bone jutting out.
The prisoner didn't even seem to notice her missing arm as they continued to rattle the cages-
- And the hand continued to squirm, clutching Jason as well.

Terry wants out of this terrible, awful, noisy, wretched mission. Bad enough the prisoners were freaking out and by extension only making his internal freak out worse, but he wasn't exactly in the right company to express his terror and frustration.
The others were trying their best to calm the prisoners and it looked like none of them were having any success. And as he really gave the other hunters present a look, he saw one of them break off a prisoner's arm. Terry blanched at the sight. He was pale already pale as ********, which made him turning green all the more obvious.
Nope nope nope nope nope nope was the general mantra going on in his head.
Agata's attempts at soothing him went unheard, but when she not-so-subtly suggested that the prisoner currently clutching him could possibly disarm him (apparently literally), the shield materialized in Terry's free arm.
"Unhand. Me." He said, clipped and high-pitched as he slammed the grinning, toothy shield against the cage. He only wanted to scare her but if it got the clone to let go, Terry wasn't going to complain.
The locusts just wouldn't leave the newcomer alone. The pricks kept coming onto his visible skin and through his clothing.
Sy went to rub the slight discomfort all over his body with one hand and went back to slashing with his weapon.
He calculated his moves but had doubts about himself whether he was wielding his weapon wrong. Starting to swing the hybrid staff like baseball players do, he swung left and right, batting at the freaky things.

The girl he called out to earlier didn;t respond. He assumed she got away, or died.
Inch by inch he moved forward and went deeper into the tunnel, still surround by the massive swarm of locusts. The loud buzzing made his ears itch but he had no time to rub them. He kept on trying to slay at least a few of those things in attempts to escape.

Joy spent most of the fight trying to shake off the leeches and stop them from getting into her clothes. She wasn't entirely certain she got them all, she could still feel them on her skin even when there was nothing there.
She heard someone call out to her. Someone she hadn't heard from in years. "Cap'n?" she whispered, brown eyes wide in disbelief as she turned this way and that in search of the man she'd met in Wonderland. How could he have gotten there? Had he been trapped in this place this whole time?
But, no, there didn't seem to be any trace of him. Melvin's orders to get to the door cut through her confusion and still holding her weapon, Joy followed. "Alright, peeps, let's get outta here before these things decide to volt in and become one giant grossness."
He was thrown back, the creature's sharp claws lashing out reading to cut him deep like a pocket knife.
Reeling back, he tried to keep the arms away.
SUMMON ME! I'll protect you! You can't fight this with fists! Fin called out, and in a split second to just think that he had a weapon in the first place, it came to his hand without effort. Eagerness buzzed in his palm as he gripped the small handle tightly.
"Eat this." He said, shoving the small trident down at the shadow. He had never used his weapon, and the hold was strange and awkward, trying to slip out of his grip and missing as it fell out of his grip.
There was nothing stopping Lawrence from going all out against this horseman, so he did, without even a thought of restraint or consequences, he was going to murder it and there was no doubt in his mind about it.
The short thin man showed startling speed and competence at weilding the long talons and he moved to seize Kai by the shoulders, sinking the blades into his shield.
The swarm destroyed the door aimed at her again, they landed everywhere on her and greedily fed on her fleshes. She flung her weapon like a mini hurricane but she only managed to get rid of a few before another batch quickly refilled.
"They're annoying as hell!" She whined. Being bit was a different sensation than being beaten, the former brought pain to her body whereas the latter pierced her heart and soul.
[ THE TUNNELS ] - Shu alone, deeper part of maze (Since I can't roll two kinds of dice at once~)
"ENOUGH!" She shouted down the insects and with mighty force she collected, she gave the swarm a powerful hit.
Many fell around her like lost their balances with completely damaged wings, the buzzes continued but the new one dared not to fly close. "Move an inch closer and you'll join them." The warning made the beast chuckled heartlessly.
Shu thought otherwise, they were no usual locusts, they seemed to have a higher intellegence. As if to prove her theory, the swarm retreated and let he alone.
Oh well, she seemed to hear something broke when she madly dealt with the swarm of locusts. As her vision blurred with a hue of yellow and she fell on her knees, legs loosened, she knew it could be a trap. For a moment, she really hope they could take her to where Dwight was and enabled the gas the embrace her fully.
Then, she struggled vigoriously, fraught with discomfort and helplessness. The reality was she couldn't gamble that little chance, and a capable hunter shall not manage stuff by luck, but their abilities, strength and determination.
Filled with determination, she regained her focus, wiggled up and searched for an exit. She couldn't sleep yet, she needed to find Dwight. The petite Asian pinched herself with sharp point of her weapon and made use of the incessant pain to keep her from closing her eyes. She crawled against the bookshelves and moved onwards slow but persistent. Cold sweats surfaced her trembling muscles, and she kept her breathing just enough underneath her scarf.
Ace gave Jason exactly one second and decided himself that the Moon was busy when his ponytail was in hostage like his braid. From the cell next to his, Kimberly seemed to have a hard time and began to get annoyed by the girl she was tackling. Further from them came loud thud of something hit on metal still. He sighed, "Can't be help when each of us only get one pair of hands. Don't mind her, Kimberly. She doesn't know what she's doing. Probably."
His situation can be said lucky, at least he got one hand free to move around. At close proximity, he noticed that the cage wasn't as sturdy as he thought. The collision had left a remarkable cleft which gave him an idea to try clashing it again. It startled his girl however and she violently rent his braid in reflex. "Ouch. Easy easy lady. I'm not gonna use her on you."

Shortly after his girl temporarily tammed, he heard Jason shrieked like a girl. That Moon was making a commotion with noises and yelled loudly with some sort of a scared tone. "Jason, what's wrong?" He raised his voice so that the hunter could hear.
The laid-back trainee didn't stop banging the cage, the clanks he made echoed around the corridor. He was about to make another hit, then he stumbled upon the girl's sudden yank. In order not to harm her, he was forced to pull his scythe back away.

The moon stopped long enough to show Ace the hand that was still clinging to his own and probably cutting off his circulation.
"I pulled her hand off" He whimpered, the edge of the bone still showing.
Seeing that Ace was trying to open his own cage, Jason opted to help him out, swinging his sword at the bars. Although considering what just happened to him maybe this wasn't a good idea...
In the end he missed. How he had missed was unknown even to him, he just whimpered and continued to shake his arm.
"Wow." He made a short comment seeing the clingy hand. After seeing some impressive Halloweeners, his immunity for unusual things had rocketed high. "Um, it might not be your fault." Yup, maybe her muscles simply deteriorated within. The tall trainee consoled after checking if the Moon's eyes went into other colors like red or green.
He dodged as Jason slashed vertical down at the cage. "Um, Jason, calm down first." Ace was kind enough not to comment on his poor accuracy.
