Stop this, wipe your tears and FOCUS. Mahuyah rubbed her eyes with her hands, then gave a soft slap against her cheeks to focus her. She could do this, she almost had it the first time, she just needed to make sure things were secured. Her brow furrowed as she set to work, and her heart hammered as she found herself putting in the last touches and then.

Yes! Done! She'd completed a tent! What wondrous victory!

“And I smell like a predator considering the Grimm in me. So they’ll definitely pick other students first. Unless you know they’re sick and have gone mentally unstable.” Samhain pointed out, and then frowned. Ah that was right, Salem was closer to the surface when he wasn’t wearing the mask. It looked like some of his speech was slipping. Well his headmate didn’t seem to be harboring any ill feelings towards his little makeshift group. “Pretty much. Tents are evil things”

On his third trip to gather wood he was finding them yes, but considering most of them looked damp and covered with questionable things he figured it would be best to ignore them for the time being. He did however find four pieces of wood that looked relatively normal, and where rather thick so hopefully that would make up for only bringing four this time. “Besides I would hope that our tour guide doesn’t want us going into the actual forest half dead because we stayed up all night. After all not everyone can drink coffee, and a lot of the students do looked determined. I think we’ll only need about another hour or so…. At least for the firewood.”

It was then that he saw the dryad that was near Callixtus. if he recalled correctly he had noticed she had been gathering wood mostly by herself, although earlier he was pretty sure she had been sitting with someone else on the bus Well Lace had been telling him to try to make more friends and Bebe had done all the work previously so… “Want to join the power squad? A group makes gathering supplies go faster.”

Nashira stopped paying attention to where the students around her were. She had lost sight of her friends in the woods. Being alone wasn't so bad, but she did miss being surrounded by the nice, friendly people she'd met on the bus. She reached for a stick before she noticed a group of other students, one of whom she recognized as Nadinia. With her single piece of firewood in hand, she went over to see the dryad, standing awkwardly near by, but not wanting to interrupt the group, since they seemed to be talking.

Nashira felt like perhaps someone had spotted her. Had they? She paused and looked at the group. Should she say something? She opened her mouth, but all that came out was a sigh. It had been one thing to ask someone to share a seat. That was easy, and had been necessary. Plus she (sort of) knew Neptune, so talking to him and the person beside him had been easy. And the pair in front of them had just joined in naturally. This was purely a selfish desire to be near people, and speaking now bordered on terrifying. She couldn't do it. She lowered her eyes and looked at the ground, hoping to spot some more wood laying about.

On the other hand, maybe they had been going about this all wrong. Not all the trees around them were still alive. Perhaps breaking off some branches from a few of the dead trees would make their task go faster. Then the pink girl spoke. Was she... talking to her?

"Oh." Nashira looked at Bebe. "Officially invited? Are you... talking to me?" She asked softly. "If you are... Thank you." She glanced around at everyone. "I was just noticing that..." She hesitated, then pointed to a near by tree. "Not all the trees are still alive." She walked over to the tree, not wanting to push anyone out of her way, she carefully stepped around everyone. "Has anyone thought of breaking branches from the dead trees?" She asked, giving a hop and grabbing onto a branch. She wiggled in the air a moment before it cracked, and she landed on her butt, then had to cover her head as a few more pieces of wood rained down around her.

Samhain smiled, glad that Bebe seemed to be taking his sudden morbid turn for the best. “Well I would hope that more than you and I survive but something like that yes, although now that we seemingly have a small pack I have to make sure they make it through too.” Samhain added, not that he thought that rabid creatures where suddenly going to jump out of nowhere, and not like he thought the other members of the little group couldn’t take care of themselves. “Well it seems a weird place to suddenly meet the dangerous wildlife but sometimes fires drive away the wildlife…. Or we’re secretly going to be making S'mores…” It was about then that he was pretty sure the only two that knew his name where Callixtus and Bebe. “ And since we have new members... I’m Samhain by the way. It’s a pleasure to meet you all.” Okay that was probably more formal than it needed to be, but hey couldn’t get him on not having a set of manners.

He had noticed Nashira over in the corner, but he had recognized the awkward indecisive look that she was supporting. It was one he often gave on occasion. Luckily while he was figuring out how to invite her over and not totally overwhelm her Bebe roped them into the group as well before . He stated picking up another piece of wood. This section seemed to have more normal pieces of wood then the last part they had been in.

“and see by the end you’ll be an expert wood collector” He replied towards Bebe’s comment. He did notice that she seemed to be struggling with it a bit. He was at about eight pieces himself and wondered if he should offer to help carry some of the wood, but then some girls took that the wrong way and ugh…. He’d just see if the struggling got any worse. “Well I had thought about it, but with some of us not used to laboring I figured we should probably…” He trailed off as the branch predictably gave way and Nashira ended up falling on her butt. “Ah are you okay?” Samhain asked moving over to remove the stray dead leaves and branches that had gotten stuck, which was a bit awkward with just one clawed hand until he put down his pile of wood.

Taking the tent bag offered to her after it was unloaded from the bus, she found a suitable place to set it up and dumped all of the contents on the ground, finding the instructions a bit faster than before.

Everything seemed to be accounted for, so she went ahead and starting setting up the tent in the same fashion as the last, standing back with a smile once it was completed. Thinking better of the situation, she quickly checked to make sure that there was no extra parts laying about, and then tucked the instructions back into the empty bag and set it in a corner inside the tent.

This had not been one of her smarter moves. She just really wanted to help, and, well, wanted to make a good impression. But oh, she probably left an impression alright. She was fully prepared for her new acquaintances to start laughing at her, but she was actually quite surprised when the one called Samhain came over and started brushing leaves from her head, and the blue fallen, who's name she didn't know, offered her a hand up. She gladly accepted and stood before finishing brushing herself off. "T-thank you." She half bowed to the two of them. She was quite embarrassed by this whole ordeal.

"But... you see? There is so much wood here now." She attempted to recover, withdrawing in on herself a little. "None of you are hurt, are you? I apologize that I didn't think that through." She started gathering up another bundle of sticks and branches. "Um..." She hated to do this, now that she'd made a fool of herself, but... "My name is Nashira. It's a pleasure to meet you."
