"Yes! We're trapped too! Where are you?" She called back to the voice. Unlike some of the others she was willing to converse with whomever the voice belonged to. Whoever it was sounded desperate and if they were trapped like they said, well...Juniper wanted to help.

The sound of the projector moving upwards caught Junipers attention and she turned to see Shun and Al walking up onto the stage. She wasted no time. Hurrying from where she was standing, the young woman quickly made it to the stage which she quite happily ascended upon. Taking a moment for herself, she stood center stage looking out upon the theatre. She relished the feeling, but also took the vantage point to try and get a better look up onto the mezzanine in an attempt to if there was anything up there.

Al's question to the voice caused Juniper to turn to look to the two. "Any luck over there?"

Theo had been silent and relatively still for a good long while. Between the loose hamster, the burning ceiling, and the disembodied voice, exploration seemed like the last thing he wanted to try right now. He stood tall at the center of the theater, arms crossed, and every once in a while he would turn in the aisle, directing his attention at whoever was progressing at the moment. Right now it was on the stage. The voice was worrisome. Without a body, it could be anything. And the way the screen lifted to make way for those stepping onto the stage... he half expected it to close on them and pull them away, the reverse of what had happened to Chris. If it sent them home, that was great, but as far as he was concerned there was no guarantee.

They were not human, not in the slightest, the spread starting wider than Shun's fingers. Whatever it had been left deep gouges in the wood a long, along time ago because they looked almost as if they had been waxed over since.

"I can't tell!"
The voice called back out and seemed to echo from under the stage.

Juniper would see only more mannequins on the mezzanine but otherwise it was too dark to see much else. With the eerie red glow they looked far more sinister.

"They caught me and put me here!"

Alister frowned. "They? D'ya mean the mannequins?" He knelt down and thudded his fist against the stage floor- thud, thud, thud. "Can ya hear that? What's yer name?"

Shun tilted his head as he took note of the wax covering the gashes. It seems like it's been some time since this had first been damaged. The detective straightened up, then stared at the stage floor as he heard the voice coming from somewhere below. His gaze fell upon the other two at the stage briefly. Earlier he hadn't seen anything like a trap door, but apparently the voice was coming from below them. Somehow.

For the hell of it, he checked the stage floor for other signs of damage, then looked directly up to see if anything was hanging above that could potentially do further damage should it drop.

Acacia finally pulled her eyes away from the empty cabinet, letting her attention shift to the new mystery voice. She could focus on that, instead of the impending fire. It was...something, anyway. Shaking her head, she hurried to join the others on the stage, coming to a stop beside Juniper, who at least seemed more like she was interested in helping the poor soul on the other side of wherever they were. Well, maybe that wasn't fair. One of the men had asked for a name, and that was a good start too, in its way.

"Just hang on and keep talking to us, sweetie, we'll find a way to you!" She glanced the floor beneath their feet over, looking for any signs of a trap door, but of course there were none to be seen. Would have been too easy, she guessed. But there must have been some way down. Biting her lip, she glanced around again. There were plenty of eyes coming at it from up here, but maybe...

She went back down the stairs at the front of the stage, then turned to examine the siding of the stage itself. Maybe there was a panel or something that could be opened up? Admittedly she didn't have any idea about how stages were generally put together, but it didn't seem too farfetched.

The mannequins on the mezzanine were...slightly terrifying in the red glow. But, so far, they hadn't done anything terrible unless something was done to them. So, Juniper wasn't feeling too threatened by them in particular. Her growing unease though didn't go away, even as she turned her attention back to the owner of the voice.

"We'll find you!" Juniper called out, noting the location of the voice seemed to be coming form under the stage. She immediately began looking for any signs of a trap door which was pretty normal for any stage to have.

"Hey, see if there's any indication of a trap door somewhere on the stage. We might be able to open it up from up here." She said to Al and Shun as she continued her search as she walked around the stage.

"I checked. There were none, unless one has decided to form," he stated before mumbling, "I would not put it past this place, honestly."

Shun still wasn't sure if there was anything truly impossible in Other Ashdown.

"Mannequins? I was caught by these glowy people things!" The voice called back and then because it had been asked. "I kind of hear something!" There was a pause and the voice was very quiet. "I don't remember my name."

The sides of the stage were oddly bare, cabinets empty and no ropes to be found that would pull curtains or the like. There was one lone chest that sat there that Acacia found but it was covered in dust and looked to have been that way for ages.

There was no trap door, not that was seen easily. If Juniper was looking for something like that it would have to be in a far less obvious place.

The ceiling, much like the sides of the stage, were bereft of anything that could possibly cause damage or be hurtful and looked so very empty.

Glowy people things? Shun glanced at Chris to see if the guy happened to know anything about that. He hadn't heard anything about beings like that, himself. But the fact that this person didn't recall their name was a bit of a red flag for him. Whoever they were, they were here for a very long time.

It was a potential fate for them.

With a huff, he began to try and wander backstage to see if there was anything that could help them out there. Levers, doors, stairs. Useful objects. Anything.

Finally, Temperance spoke up. "Are you wounded anywhere? Do you remember your address, how old you are, what your job is?" She wasn't convinced this person was actually a person, not with the other things they'd encountered, but she could no longer ignore it. If someone was hurt, it was her duty to try and help. Retrograde amnesia could easily occur from blunt-force trauma to the head.

"What is the last thing you remember?" If it was traumatic amnesia, it seemed odd that they'd remember being caught, unless the trauma occurred beforehand. Brains were funny things.

Acacia paused in her search to glance back at the others, biting her lip. 'Glowy people things' were something they hadn't encountered yet, and the fact that this person couldn't even remember their own name was beyond troubling. There wasn't anything she could do about that right now but keep looking though, so she did, trying to keep her attention split well enough between what she was doing and the others' voices that she'd hear the answers to the questions.

What she found, in the end, was a chest. It was so covered in dust that she felt sure it wasn't involved in all this in the least. Even a glowy person thing would have displaced some of that if there was some kind of fancy mechanism hidden in there, right? But...well. The temptation was a bit too much. Even if it wasn't strictly important, there might be something useful in there. It was a good enough excuse to sate her curiosity.

She crouched in front of the chest, reaching out to see if it would open.

Backstage would yield much what you may expect from an old theater. Old pieces of sets and props but nothing of any consequence. Anything that looked even remotely like it could be a solid tool turned out to be made out of prop foam or old cardboard. Shun would find no exits of any kind.

"I- I don't remember anything!" The voice, whispering a moment ago, now seemed to raise again. It didn't sound injured, but didn't touch the topic either, "Just all these hands grabbing me! And then black!"

Acacia would find the old trunk did open, but it would take a bit of a jostle. With a little elbow grease the lid was shaken and yanked until it opened with a satisfying creak. It seemed lighter than expected and as the lid was worked open the trunk slid and rocked a few centimeters across the floor, no weight holding it fast, as if it were nearly empty.

The only thing the trunk contained were a couple of mismatched old costumes in the style of the 1920's, a flapper dress and shoes, and a men's summer suit.

Temperance finally approached the stage, crouching down in front of it. She tried peering through the wooden slats, but they seemed to fit together too closely. It was a wonder, really, how they heard the voice so clearly. She placed her good hand on the wood and spoke clearly.

"It's okay. Remember to breath - in, and out. Slowly. We're supposed to get you out." Maybe they were, maybe the weren't, but this was the only thing to do. She was only working on assumptions and chances here and if there was a chance this was someone who needed help, Temperance needed to give it. The absence of an answer on whether they were injured could be chalked up to panic.

"Do you know if there's a door somewhere down there with you? How did you get in there? I know it's hard, but it you can remember, it will help us get you." She tapped her fingers on the wood. "Are you alone?"

Al grumbled to himself, fists clenched firmly to his sides. He gazed around the stage, then over towards the woman called Temperance. She seemed to know a bit about talking to people in distress. Was she a doctor?

He walked to the edge of the stage, just in time to catch Acacia opening the trunk of costumes. The suit inside looked like something he wore to a wedding at some point. He frowned at it, frowned at Acacia, then approached.

He touched the chest, then tried to move it. "Maybe there's somethin beneath it?" Everything else seemed to have led only to dead ends and disappointment, but he figured it was worth a shot.
