Kesmi Sorry for the delay, I've been out of town all weekend! Amarone Post 3
The wind inventor glanced about, remembering exactly what was going on outside of the stands and the fuss of the crowd. She wasn't really into fighting, in fact she hated how fighting was such a focus and lead to wars and pain. However, she didn't mind a little competition, and it seemed everyone was having a blast and enjoying themselves.
"You could say so...but I'm mostly here to see the vendors...I hear this is one of the best places to find foreign deals. It's nice not having to travel around! It is interesting however to see so many people willing to join in the fights in good sport, considering how recent all of our wars have been. But hey, I dont mind good fun if it helps us come together!"
Suddenly, a loud uproar and a mass movement toward the stands began to catch her attention, "Looks like things are getting started..."

Ondine Post 3
"Hard to figure out, was it?" Ondine teased toward Volkarosh as she guessed she was part shifter. Really, it was quite obvious with her dark skin, and the matori markings really stood out as well for her other race. It was an easy guess, and she wasn't at all surprised about the glances and the talks considering there were so few of her mix at her age. She wore her skin with pride and grinned at all who stared because what else was there to do?
However, new words caught her attention, and she turned away from the overly standoffish hybrid to look at the Yaeli once more, "Yael...really? You aren't kidding?!"
She grinned so wide that her bright white teeth showed, but she kept her voice low, "I heard rumors that the Yaeli were bold enough to show up, but I didn't believe it...huh...and you are just a kid..."
As she looked at Devra for a long moment, she listened to what she had to said and shook her head, "Well that's no good at all, you need coin to make purchases. Tell ya what, I've got a bit of spare coin from my many fi...travels...if you'd like, I would love to give ya something you can take back and show off to all your friends..." Her voice was bright and her grin wide, but she didn't move closer to pressure. It was up to the kid to take it or leave it, but Ondine wondered if the kid was actually going to take something else and leave. If so, she was quite impressed.

Masika Post 4She grinned at Eleina. "We'll have to ask when she gets back then." Masika didn't want to miss anyone else fighting so they may have to wait til that was done as well. But she did want to do some shopping while she was here. "When does everyone fight?" The young prentice turned to look at Draven as he told her that she would need to look after his Keldari. "Alright. She should be fine with me." A nod came from her at the comment. He didn't really have to ask her though since she saw him as a sibling. Ironically, even though Masika was a girly girl the idea of holding the slithery familiar didn't bother her. As Ziel asked how everyone was doing her antennae gave a twitch and her attention went to the girl almost instantly. "I'm excited. Muma is going to fight! I've never seen her fight a person before." She'd seen her mother fight against Maha, Tanou, and Ascale, but never against someone else. Masika knew that Draven had seen her do so and was envious of him for it.

Dyakida post 3"Briella is fighting?! Against who?" she asked, intrigued. It was good to hear that her weapons were out on the field. She had actually considered fighting, just to prove she could, but after thinking about it, she realized that she was confident in her talents and didn't need to prove herself in other areas. It was good to know that she was on the field with every alkidike that fought, though. That proved her skill enough for her. "Don't be too eager, Ilyra." she cautioned, "Caution will serve you better... But you know that." she added, a little abashed. She wasn't Ilyra's mother. It was not her place to nag. "I wish you luck!"Stereochrome Hey, want to be in a neighboring stall?

Nuawahn post 3 Nuawahn grinned brightly at the shifter. "That's my name!" he said, delightedly. So he HAD met him! This was great! But who? Where? When? "Has it been a long time since I met you, mister?" he asked, trying to remember. It had to be, if it was so far beyond the grasp of his medicine. However, what he did remember, was that this face was associated with safety. And good things.

Volkarosh post 3A Yaeli? "No, I didn't know." Volkarosh said placidly. She had only heard of the Yaeli, vague rumors of the islanders. She hadn't seen one. She hadn't realized how close they were in appearance to herself and her brother. Strange... Interesting. Odd. "If you pick out one thing you want, I would be glad to buy it for you." she said. She didn't sound particularly glad, or upset, just curious...

ThertiaPost OneThe tournament was abuzz with people far and wide and Thertia walked uneasily through the crowd. While Tia wanted nothing more than to enjoy the tournament entirely, she was occupied pondering on the upcoming battle and thinking on who her opponent might be. As Thertia continued walking with her mind in a daze, she was abruptly bumped into by an Earthling who was now apologizing profusely.
“It’s alright, don't worry about it, I’m Thertia.” Tia announced offering the Earthling a smile in return.

Sol Post 2
Sol's immediate response to his sister's glare was to stick his tongue out. While not dignified in the least, he felt that it was the only appropriate response to her butt-ness. Why couldn't she just let him do what he wanted to do without sticking her nose in it? Just because they had to stay together today didn't mean he was going to let her ruin everything!
He was still pretty prickly by the time his Papa showed up, though just seeing Ygraine crowding in on him before Sol even got the chance just rankled him up more. She was such an attention hog!
Two could play at that game. If she was going to take Papa, then he would claim Baba; after all, his sister couldn't have both all to herself! Sol took a half step back, moving his little feet closer to Nimueh before reaching for his father's hand. "Baba, I'm tired. Can you carry me?" If at all possible with his sclera-less eyes, Sol tried giving Nimueh the look. An innocent, unassumingly tender look with manipulative intentions. Baba was taller than Papa; so, by proxy, if Baba picked him up then no matter what he would be at least a head taller than Ygraine.

Callum Post 2
Callum didn't think he would ever get used to the rush of pride and love that consumed him each time his children called to him. Papa. The word alone was enough to ease some of the tension out of his body. Of course, that didn't detract from the amused smile he gave to his partner. Callum leaned over Ygraine to return the kiss before bending at the knee to pick up his baby girl. He was used to her being at the center of everything, so her pushiness didn't bother him; rather, it was Sol's lack of immediate retaliation that concerned him. What was that boy up to?
He settled her on his hip, lightly her ribbon leash from Nimueh to hold in his palm. "Dancers or games, that's a tough call." No doubt his partner had already tried letting them work it out among themselves, and this was the result. Personally, he would rather view the dancers, as he was hoping to pick up a few new moves, but he didn't want to cheat his son. "Which one is closest?"

Dris'rynne Post 1That. Was. Horrendous.
Dris'rynne could sit in the stands and hope that no one recognized her. Of course they did; who wouldn't remember the one eyed Shifter who had her butt handed to her by a dread locked Oban? Thankfully the most anyone had commented on it had been to tell her "Good try", but even that felt worse than any insult. It's what one told children when they couldn't hit the broad side of a training dummy. She leaned back in her seat with a groan, stretching her shorter legs out in front of her while the battles went on in the arena below.
And then there was Teslaron.
She needn't turn her gaze to know it was him. Who else would be so bold as to slither their arm around her shoulders, knowing full well she was armed and in a foul mood. When he spoke she openly groaned and lowered her eye from the sky in order to direct it at him. If her expression could have been anymore pained then she would have sought a healer.
"I was watching," she responded slowly. "If you got any sort of scar from that fight I will be surprised. What was that, anyway? A slap fight?" Dris'rynne had seen more 'manlier' moves from two teenage girls squabbling over the last azure dress in a shop. Still, she was impressed that he had managed to win, which is exactly what she had planned on telling him, before he retracted his arm and spoke again.
Dris'rynne reached for the exposed flesh on his arm, and gave it a good pinch, with an impressive snarl to boot. "You know full well how my match went! I humiliated myself. I may as well have not even entered." Flopping back into her seat, Dris'rynne crossed her arms under her minuscule bust and pouted.
"Stupid fire tribe jerk. If he hadn't been using a long range weapon and fought me like a real man I could have had him."

Teslaron Post: 2Fiesty little girl. And as he'd told his opponent, he did take some degree of amusement in such an attitude. That didn't seem like any excuse to be rude to him, when he was only being as genuinely friendly as he possibly could be. Teslaron pouted. "Oh, c'mon! Give me a little credit. From where I was standing, it seemed really extra intense!" And it had been a lot more ducking and swerving and minute bodily injury than he was accustomed to on a daily basis.
He huffed. "I tried, y'know? And look at this: she speared through near all of my clothes!" Tes told her as he dangled a bit of fabric in her face. The corner of his lip dragged up. "Though I suppose I owe it to my fans to give them a little- ow! Dris!" He hissed softly as he scrubbed a hand over where she'd just pinched. Really, was he not injured enough for her tastes?
He grumbled and shot the Shifter woman a leery look from the corner of his eyes before settling back in his seat and relaxing, a good several inches of safety away.
"Anyway..." He glanced back to her fully, ever-so-slightly more apologetic. "I really did expect a little more from you," he admitted with a half-hearted shrug, still defensively covering the exposed skin of his arms, in case of further onslaught. "You're kinda tough, and I have seen you fight before." Lost to her before, more accurately. So it did sting him with an unasked for annoyance that she'd lose to someone he disliked even more. He leaned in close again, eyes narrowed. "It's all these Fire guys, though. They haven't ever fought fair. You're too noble to stoop to that wormy level. But I'll tell ya what; next time, you 'n me, we go in as a unit. I'll hold 'em, and you punch. Or slice. Or stab. I don't care, really, whatever suits your fancy at the time."

Zumei Post 2 "Ooooohhhh. Food sounds so nice. After going through all that I'm definitely all for fun times instead. Especially if it involves hangin' with you," she winked at him, tugging him along in her excitement. The faster she could distract herself from her awful fighting the better she would be. She hated feeling like an idiot, and that's just what she'd thought she was. She'd have to work harder, get better. "So we've never been to Oba and don't really know where we're going. It'll be an adventure. We can eat a lot of things and see what they taste like. Sweets sound good. Do you like sweets? Does Seph?" She really didn't give him much of a chance to respond before she was tugging him towards a food booth. Fluffesu Sorry for short replies. Doing this all on my phone.

Dezani Post 1
Dezani had planned on fighting, but after thinking on it and worrying about Araie and her injury, he had decided against it. That meant that while Araie was wandering off to the healer he and Raiha could do whatever they wanted. What that exactly was though he had no idea. He wanted to go look at all the vendors, maybe buy something nice for her. He wasn't one to do well with gifts though. He was in a weird spot at the moment as far as money and other things went.

Xilarn Post: 1Xilarn did not like festivals.
He did not like fairs, parties, carnivals, or anything else that involved great quantities of unknown people all looking for an excuse to be hopelessly obnoxious, loud, and more in-your-face than he could possibly tolerate. The streets of Oba were bad enough without adding anything extra to the populace. Now they were basically impossible to navigate without being screamed at, oftentimes by people who didn't even live here.
What were they even celebrating? It was not their king's birthday. It was not the day Atun was born from the sun. It was not the annual eve the Matori slaves were liberated- But even if it was, holding such a festival in Oba seemed grossly insulting.
No. There was no reason for this big event. It was absurd. Unfortunately, navigating back to the inn between each match was far more hassle than it was worth, and Xilarn was almost positive the reason the arena was so far away from the inn was so that thieves would have time to lighten the pockets of passerby after the battles. Just in case paying for food and drink and everything else wasn't expensive enough. He hated festivals. Hated. Them.
Xil sat as far back in the stands as was possible, far enough away from the action that he legitimately couldn't even tell the species of the combatants. Since this was as much space as he'd probably get for the next several span of days, he supposed he ought to get used to it.

JHANA (post 3)
Jhana nodded her head to her sister and her brother. But she could feel a dribble of the panic start to come over her. The tournament... people actually fighting? The chance of blood being spilled.... she didn't know about that one. But she looked to her brother and swallowed down any negativity she could.
If he wanted to see the tournament, well then they would be seeing the tournament now wouldn't they? "...Yeah... That should be fun." She smiled to her brother and let Shima continue to lead them. "This food sure does smell good." She pointed in the direction of the stall Shima was leading them, ready to get on with the trip and start having some fun.
