 Dianthe was not phased one bit at the announcement of a pop quiz. She had a brain wired for math, and finished the quiz before just about anyone else. She waited at her desk for another student to turn their paper in first so she didn't seem like a show-off, and started on her history homework as soon as she reached her seat again.

 Samara looked down at the quiz in front of her, feeling equal parts concerned and confident. She was told she did quite well in math, but she'd only ever been home schooled until now so she wasn't sure if Granny's skills were at Academy level. As she began to read through the numbers she felt more relaxed. It was all pretty simple stuff that she felt confident she could solve. There were one or two that she fretted over, but she was sure she'd passed the quiz. She spent the rest of her free time examining the classroom and seeing how close an eye the other students kept on their belongings.

 Laurel's tail wagged quietly in excitement as the quizzes were handed out. She liked quiz days, oddly enough. They gave you a chance to prove you knew what you were doing, and if you were good enough at it you had some free time to catch up on other things like late homework or a good book. And Laurel was pretty skilled at math. She finished her quiz with no problems, then dug then book she was currently working her way through out of her bag and flipped to the chapter she had stopped at last night and eagerly continued reading.

 Oh gosh... a quiz! Popple looked at the paper as it was handed to her, staring at the problems. Well this didn't look... too hard? Grabbing up her pencil, she got right to work. Her little claws tapped down the line of numbers on some of the problems as she counted the number places, tongue sticking out while she did so. After answering all the questions, she popped right up out of her seat and ran to turn it in to Mr. Judas!... then raced right back to her seat and wriggled happily.

 Ezra sat quietly at his seat, accepting the paper that was handed to him. He looked over the problems one by one. Giving a nod -- to himself -- he took up his pencil and simply filled out each answer. After he was done, he felt satisfied that the answers that were written were correct, and so he rose from his seat and took the paper to his teacher's desk to turn it in. After making sure to place it in the proper spot, he gave a slight smile and turned about, heading back to his desk again.

 Oh groan... A quiz. Sepphora wasn't bad at math, but she certainly wasn't a fan of quizzes and the like. Turning the paper over on her desk, she picked up her pen and popped her name up top first thing. Her eyes skimmed down the page to assess what she was in for. It didn't seem like it would be too terrible, but sometimes she would think she did good and bombed. Well here's hoping as she started the quiz.
Everything on the paper actually came quite easily to her. In fact, it was so easy that she feared she was going to completely fail. The geist checked her work about three or four different times before deciding that she should be safe from failure. It was quite the welcome thing when her quiz was graded and she scored so well!

Surprisingly, despite his lack of focus, Andromeda realized as he was filling out the quiz that he knew pretty much all of this. He filled it out with relative ease, only having difficulty with a few questions. That would be nice... some sort of high score to show he wasn't doing that badly.
He finished up the quiz, then wrote his name at the top before passing it in to Judas. He then simply sat in his seat for the rest of the class period, zoning out while staring at the ceiling.

 Ew, a quiz? Tia was still a bit miffed over the PE first aid kit thing, but she wrote the answers pretty quickly. At least it was only three questions, it could have been a lot worse. She felt contented that they were correct, she had no doubt! With that, she pushed herself out of her chair and placed it on the teacher's desk, offering a "thank you" before sitting back down to draw.

 Math, yes! It was their favorite subject... though having a quiz put a small damper on it. They picked up their pencil and made quick work of the quiz, though there were a few spelling mistakes and scribbles on it. Well, at least the answers were there! They got up, bounced by their cousin who had finished just before and placed the paper on the teacher's desk with a grin.

 Izar quietly wrote his answers as soon as he got the exam. He wasn't one for exams, but it wasn't too hard and it made sense. He was a little worried about them being wrong, but he was pretty sure that he was okay. He slinked up to the teacher's desk with a small sigh and placed it on his desk.

Bam, that was easy? Did she have a simple button for that quiz or what, cause it was a piece of cake. She circled the answers and almost jumped from her seat and placed her paper in the pile. She couldn't wait to tell Pawsa about this! Couldn't they just leave when they were done?

Eugh, a pop quiz? Flax almost never paid attention in math class, but this was too much for him to handle. As he skimmed through the questions, he felt a sinking feeling in his chest as he realized he didn't know the answer to any one of these problems. For some of them, he didn't even know the formulas needed to solve them, let alone recognize the words used to describe them! He tapped his pencil on the desk, before scribbling down his answer to the one measly question he knew might be correct.
The Nixie turned in his quiz, feeling very disgruntled. "I'd like to schedule a makeup, please," he murmured to the instructor. After choosing a date and time, the Nixie ambled back to his seat to read a book.

Thanks to a little bit of humility, not to mention a healthy dose of tutoring from his remarkably intelligent girlfriend, Flax's makeup test was not as disastrous as the original. He didn't exactly speed through it with flying colors, but he felt stable about the numbers he put down on paper. The Nixie thanked the instructor profusely as he turned in the quiz, knowing now that he'd be able to pass this class with a little bit of extra effort.
