Wren chose to draw a picture of his dad, the best person he knew, Wren loved how warm and caring. Wren's dad always took in people in need, feeding them, giving them a place to sleep. It was what made Wren want to open a bed and breakfast when he grew up.

The kitten happily stood up when it came time to present her picture. She was really proud of it and she had full intentions of giving it as a gift when she got home. "My role model is my daddy. He's super smart and works on computers"
She happily lifted up her picture, though she had to hold herself back from lifting it up above her head. "He adopted me and he makes me so happy every day, I don't know what I would do without him. He's not only a daddy, but my role model." The little kitten knew that she would never be as smart or cool as him, but she knew that, if she could make someone as happy as he made her, she would be successful.

Not wanting to be out done by their cousin, Al almost hopped up on their chair...but decided against it, not wanting to give the teacher a fright. Instead, they lifted their picture above their head with a wide smile. "My role model is my mama, Pandy. She's actually Uncle Masaru's sister and she goes to Grendel for Art." They knew that mama wouldn't mind the poorly done art, they weren't gifted with an artistic flair, but it hopefully would make its way onto the fridge.
"Mama is amazing, she's the happiest and friendliest person I know. I'm so happy that she adopted me and I hope that someday, I can be as happy and upbeat as her."

Quartz proudly held up her picture. "This is my brown and gold mama," she explained. "She sometimes goes on trips, and brings me and my siblings back some really cool presents. She has lots of neat things in her room and tells the best stories! She can also fix really old or broken things and make them all better." Vincent thought he hadn't done half bad with his drawing, considering he had no artistic talent. "This is my new mom, Giselle. I used to live in the orphanage, but she decided to bring me to live with her and help me grow up!" He grinned and reached up to scratch the base of one of his horns. "She looks really grumpy and isn't always nice to everyone, but I think she's pretty nice. She's really smart and good at making things, and helps me when I'm having trouble with homework."

Aviont'e slipped into the class, hoping he wasn't noticed. Even though he found the class interesting, he was never one for tests. Bouncing the pencil between his fingertips as he reviewed the questions, Newt felt he had a good chance....hopefully.
( ---> *insert roll* )
Finishing up the test, Aviont'e cringed horribly at his score. "Fourty-four? Eesh. Not good at all." He retrieves another test copy and starts over, concentrating harder.

Ustule groaned internally at her grade for the exam. Oh, no! She resisted the urge to slam her head against her desk. Social studies was not always her best subject--she was good at history, but the culture always tripped her up... she'd just have to take the exam again, and study harder this time.

Ustule's second attempt went a little better. She hated the grade she'd gotten--she still hadn't done well on the culture portion of the test--but she'd passed, and she wasn't allowed to take it again. She put the graded test in her backpack and waited for class to be over with a heavy heart.

[Keegan 1, Favrielle 2, Temperance 3] He scratched his head in frustration. This was not the time for a test? There was so much going on in his life right now. Grrr. He did his best to focus, but the poor puppy just found himself confusing all the dates. He got his score back and was devastated. At least this professor offered makeup. He would study tonight and make it up tomorrow. The demoness walked into the classroom feeling rather calm and collected. Favrielle was still unsure on one small section they had covered while she was out sick. Jaret did his best to relay the information, but it just went over her head. Lickily she still made a pretty good grade. It wasn't an A, but hey it was just one test! Temperance rushed through the test. He was pretty confident in his answers. When he got his score back he was shocked! He had made some pretty stupid mistakes. He still passed, but next time he would certainly need to slow down and check his mistakes.

[Keegan 2nd attempt] Keegan took a deep breath and tried to focus this time. He took his time re-reading over each questions at least three times. He almost psyched himself out a few times, buuuuut he made it! He finished with his highest score so far and was able to pat himself on the back. He need to stay focus though. No more slacking off.

mmm It wasnt midterms was it? He couldnt remember them talking about tests. Then again he had been kind of sick and tired lately. He could have just spaced out but all these tests where coming at the worst time and Samhain already got slightly panicked when he had to take them especially because he liked good grades and he really liked studying for said tests. There was a snort in the back of his head, but Samhain ignored it. He would complete this test with out having to rely on Salem... he would... or he wouldnt... ugh. He really kind of wanted to cry at this score.

The second time he was so worked up about loosing that he did even worse. It didnt help that he had to battle a headache the whole entire time. He was going to complete this test on his own. He was... really. However because he was so flustered he forgot the answers that he put down and messed up even worse than last time.

'that's it I'm tired of being in this classroom. You are stressing too much about this. Its history. You like history. Calm down and actually think about it. I'll let you finish the damn test if you really are so worked up about it' was the reassurance from Salem. Well at least he didn't have to battle his headaches any more. He did take a deep breath and look at the test again. Salem was right, he could do this. After calming down he tried again. It wasn't the best score ever but he would work hard later and raise his grade again. He passed and that was what was important at the moment.

Rorie frowned at the assignment. He wasn't all that great at art and really had no idea who he looked up to. He thought about it long and hard as he stared at the blank page in front of him. Before he knew it, however, he started coloring a picture he hadn't thought he'd ever do. He frowned at the picture when he finished but knew it wasn't exactly a lie.
I look up to Nilima because she never lets anything get her down. She's always so upbeat and willing to do her best in everything. And no matter what she always looks for the good in things.. I guess I envy that.
He scribbled onto the picture he drew of his roommate. He just hoped she'd never see the picture. He'd never live it down.

The assignment certainly made Pluto think. They stared at their blank sheet of paper for a long time, longer than most of the other freshlings it seemed. Would the other students be drawing and writing about their families, found, adopted, or otherwise? Pluto didn't really have anyone like that to pick through. It was a difficult decision but, finally, they put crayon to paper. I don't really have a role model, I don't think. If it's supposed to be somebody I want to be more like, I don't want to be like anybody but myself. I don't think I'm my own role model either, though, because that'd be really silly. So I think my role model is somebody I haven't met and maybe never will. It could be somebody like Memozeen Mnemasen Mnemosyne of the Nine because she is about learning and practice to make yourself a better you.
I drew her with her harp so you could tell it was her.
