Phaenna had noticed that Pothos and Aglaia seemed to be both breaking down. That was never good. She looked over to Mother's door for only a second, her eyes flicking back to seem some sorta fae hanging over her distort sister. Oh no. She wasn't....really?
The second Phaenna saw the fae tap Aglaia on the shoulder she was on the move. Like a silver blurr she was over by the group and without saying anything she picked Summer up and flung the fae over her shoulder in one swift movement. Still without a word Phaenna walked her and her quarry down a hallway, stopping mid way and just dropping the fae on the floor. Phaenna was starting down at Summer with fire in her eyes. The goddess was seething while having some inner turmoil of how to proceed from her. Violence. Violence was always a good answer. Motherwouldbedisappointedyoudothisformotherdothisformotheryoucandothisstaystrong.
Phaenna finally slammed the shaft of her spear down on the floor, making a loud cracking noise. "If you wish to speak to someone, speak to someone NOT having a break down at the moment. There are plenty of us not speaking to anyone right now." The words she really wanted to say right now. "Don't do that again." This was the only warning the fae would get.
"Now, what's you're question?"

Hmm so one of the retinue did use an arrow that was similar to the one they had heard about. Eros or Anteros, it seemed like they where the prime suspects at the moment.
Kaarina was not sure how the deities would react to the idea that one of their own could be the killer. Still she was no stranger to conflict, if she worded this right maybe he wouldn't get upset at all.
"We think it might be a clue, either to the killer or someone they're trying to frame.""Mother wait..." Her pleas were ignored as she and the other young graces where pushed out of the room. It worried her when her mother was alone. It seemed like Phaenna really was upset about something. Shansa was surprised that the older grace had used her spear to block them off. She nibbled her lip nervously as she listened. The details on what happened where vague at best, but it must have been bad if they where supposed to get weapons and be on guard.
It made her even more worried about her mother being alone in the room. Find a weapon or someone who had one? Things seemed to be going down hill quickly. She needed to try and find makeshift weapon, she hadn't really practiced fighting, but if she had something and stuck with someone else it would be fine right?
Hearing Aliza call out to her she stopped her search and turned to her niece. "Is something wrong?" She asked as she was pulled aside. Her eyes widened as she listened to what Aliza was telling her. She had seen what happened to Adonis' body?
Grabbing her niece's hand she squeezed it reassuringly. "It's all right, what did you see?" She whispered back. Wondering why the other had been scared, had something she seen scared her or was it how the others would react to it?

Looking to the door Venus had retreated to, all she felt was pitty for her beloved sister. They knew what had to be done to protect their Mistress, only their mistress wouldn't have it. A huffed sigh followed when the pae questioned her sister. While listening, she mentally pulled together what clues she'd noticed but held to herself.
Nodding to her sister when the call to possible action was given, Lillibeth added, "Of course dear sister. We are with you till the last feather falls." She'd fight the God of Ugliness til the last blemish was cursed if it meant protecting her sisters. Usually sass was enough for most but when it was required even she could remember what a Harpy could do.
As soon as she followed her sister enough that she felt safe, she touched her shoulder and leaned in. Melodious whisper followed, "There was an arrow left when we arrived, Dolandor by the look of it. The feathers on the arrows this time." Feathers was emphasized, they were fancy of hers so naturally noticed. There were a lot of things about them she noticed. "Sister I think it was one of Venus' own behind this." Which was a wonder, any of them were suspect as far as she was concerned. One of them had to have sway over the cherubs, or cherubs of their own.
They were leaving Venus in the care of a possible suspect but what else could be done? They had to find the bodies and learn all they could. Even still, the concern was enough to risk wrinkles! Harmonia drew back an outstretched hand like Aglaia had just burned her. For several moment all she could manage was to look wide-eyed at the pink Goddess and hold her hand to her chest. "Aglaia, beloved sister.." Her words trailed though the look of hurt and horror remained. This was not her doing, there was no way she could have known any of this would happen.
Eris didn't do it, that much she was certain. Really she should have sought the other out to hear what she had seen. Should haves and would haves wouldn't fix any of this. Was there way to fix any of this?
Clasping her hands together she had to take the moment to close her eyes. Among the swirls of chaos hurt and fear she tried desperately to reach that little ray of harmony. Aglaia needed it so badly, if even a little influence could be pulled maybe it would be enough. 'Weave a spell' she thought to herself 'offer a shred of comfort in the storm' So far it hadn't worked once, but just maybe there was enough influence to help calm her sister. If ever there was a time for it, it was now.
There was no leaving, she was staying by there side. Her family could hate her but she was not going to abandon them. Rather she kept a little distance careful not to touch the sibling pair. In stead she looked for outside threats. Pheanna was quick to deal with the fae who had also earned a hard look from herself. In support, Harmonia also moved enough to try and form a shield blocking the other's access to Aglaia. This also meant she had her own back to her sister and brother. She didn't trust her voice but could at least be there.

Eros or Anteros? Himeros found it hard to entertain the thought that either of them...no, couldn't be. But what the lovely lady Naiad said to follow...
"Frame them? Maybe..." he mused aloud, eyes narrowing and turning towards Harmonia. Though he couldn't figure what she might have against them in particular, he put little past her at this point. Her earlier actions were highly suspicious. "Not saying anything for sure, but...I noticed Harmonia was dropping an arrow and broken bow string when we first arrived. For what purpose, I can't say, though...the action struck me as mighty strange, when we're supposed to be solving a mystery and she's planting false evidence..."

Having been shoo'ed out of the hallway, most certainly for better rather than worse, Luminita was still in a sort of daze when Himeros approached her. Her mannerisms had clearly changed at this point - a war scene does wonders to sober one drunk on excitement - and rather than question anything he said, interject or argue at all, she merely looked down to the single arrow in her hand.
No comment to be made.
By the time her head was raised, her mind drifting and clinging to the only clue she might have left, the god had already left.
Suspicious activities, both in the present and in the past...
Guardians help her! She was scared and upset and this was not fun anymore and she just wanted to go home. Pouting and dropping her arrow the the ground, she slinked away from the crowd and the confusion to find a quiet spot to wait for someone to tell her she could leave. This time she walked without dragging her friend with her. Menelie Selah (Luminita is walking away) "Take this information for what it is worth, but an arrow of such description was among those to pierce Adonis' back that night..." Hjortur's eyes glanced down and his brows furrowed as he brought a hand to his chin and synthesized the new information. Eros... or Anteros... Would either of them have a motive for killing Adonis. Sure, he'd had an affair while Venus was trapped and hurt her dearly... but was that reason enough for murder? Probably. Alone, however, a motive could hardly prove guilt.
His eyes lifted at his companion's suggestion: a framed individual. He had yet to even consider the possibility, but that would make sense. "If we assume this was a premeditated attack, which we have reason to believe, then it would be relatively easy to place a red herring to skew suspicion away from them. The simplest way would be just this: an arrow indicative of one of the retinue."
Hjortur grew silent as his eyes followed Himeros' to another group of deity; ironically, the group they had originally considered approaching.
More interesting, however, was word of her actions.
"That does sound rather... suspicious, if I may be so blunt. I do not wish to arrive at any hasty conclusions, however... Are you aware of where she was and what she was doing during the party - I would say the hour prior to Adonis' death would be a sufficient time frame?" A slight chuckle as he glanced over at Himeros.
"And if you would not take offense to it, may I ask the same of you?"

"That is odd, to simply drop a broken arrow at a crime scene." It certainly made Harmonia seem a bit more suspicious than the other two who had arrows similar to the one found in the body, of course they couldn't count out Eros or Anteros simple because the arrow might be planted.
As it was they had no proof on if it was planted or not, but if one of the retinue had intended to kill Adonis why would they use an arrow that would so easily be tied back to them?
Finding out where people where around the time of the incident was a smart move. Hopefully it would help them eliminate some suspects. She twirled her hair a bit as she thought about what the most likely scenario seemed to be.

Summer had no chance to talk before something grab her and throw her over her its shoulder. Summer glared at the silver body in front of her. So it probably was not the best time to ask that goddess but she had noticed something that was very interesting. There was something happening with the gods. Looking around she noticed that she had no idea were she was. She noticed the silver goddess was stomping her feet as she went down the hallway. Some one has anger issues Summer thought as she sighed. Being thrown to the floor she fought the urge to let out a yelp of pain as she just glared up at the silver goddess. The fae sighed it seemed that the goddess was trying to intimidate and her slamming her spear down on the floor Summer had to confess she was intimidated but she would not let that show. Summers burning question changed if she was going to be treated like this then she would make it worth it. "Ok then how about what were you doing on the night in question? Also is each Erotes arrows different and if so why is that who ever is attacking is using many different arrows?"

Phaenna didn't like this mortal. The faster she answered, the better. "Same thing I do at all of mother's parties, watch for trouble and cause a little mischief between you mortals." She raised a brow at the next question. "Yes, we all have different arrows but we were all in the ballroom. Every single one of us. I don't recall anyone leaving..." WELL. "Anteros was late for some reason but he looked like he got the tar beat out of him....But he was here for awhile before the murder, heck, he was starting to fix some things by the time Adonis tumbled in. Besides him? We were all in the room the entire night, like we always do every party." Different arrows what? "The only arrow that I know was really different was the gold dove feathered one. Eros and Anteros use them but they were in the ballroom like all of us." Phaenna narrowed her eyes a bit. These fluff heads really didn't one of THEM did it right? Mortals got crazier and crazier by the day.

Seren frowned now having listened to the pae Lola had questioned. "I think we are too" she looked around once more at the commotion, "what you think, look for these cherubs or continue this area... I can only say this is getting more and more confusing to me" she shook her head and pondered the information. Twitchapher the 3rd sry for short reply was a long day and brain is a little fried atm

"After what we saw in the hallway? I don't think they'll be any help so...Guess we have to talk to someone else." She paused for a moment to think. "You know most don't just up and kill someone for no reason...Maybe he did something or something happened before?"

Never a huge fan of mortals for her own many reasons, Harmonia choose not to add anything to the conversation between Phaenna and the shiny fae. She was listening and realizing her investigation had been tunnel vision. Due to being under the influence of an arrow herself, she hadn't noticed the state Anteros had appeared in.
He was one she had tired to find the moment she was hit but hadn't noticed until after Adonis died. It didn't matter he had done this, it was still a concern that he was attacked. Following that, she had not seen him since. Had he been harmed and escaped? More importantly did whatever come back to finish the job?
The idea that anyone of the Erotes would be harmed was unsettling, even her greatest fan Himeros.
Raising a hand to rub the back of her head in memory of the spell breaking blow, she promised herself she'd find the male when this was over to be sure he was okay. Eros too.Quote: She is standing next to Phaenna listening to her talk to Summer but didn't say or interact with either.

Himeros snorted softly in reply. "Be as blunt as you want. Doesn't bother me. Can't say I kept track of her the whole time. Saw her fawning over some Fae mortal near the beginning of the party...lost track of her for a while...caught a glimpse of them later...then lost them again until after everything went to Hades. So no, I can't account for what Harmonia was doing the entire time."
When the questioning turned to him, Himeros only grinned. "No offense taken. I have nothing to hide. I'd be happy to tell you what I was doing." Well, who anyway. Chuckling and looking quite proud of himself, he answered, "I have a long list of mortal Pae'il from the party who can vouch for where I was. Maybe not all at the same time...but I think I actually got most of their names!" Yes, he seemed quite proud of that accomplishment. "And if I missed that, well, I never forget a face. I'm sure I can find them again. And I'd be happy to share any details of how we spent our time. Course, could share more than just tales," he grinned.

Clues
No one from Venus' retinue is guilty.
---
Obvious suspect Ares did not do it and would gladly accept credit if he had.
---
The murderer has returned, and is responsible for the massacre in the corridor.
((Getting down to the wire folks! We have twin deity available as possible prizes for those that not only get the murderer right, but can tell us what really happened! We need at least two people to get it right for the deity to be given out, so work with your partner!))

((She makes an announcement to anyone who is willing to listen at the end.)) Mayu paused when Lillibeth stopped her once they had made it down the hall away from others. She could see the blood marks continuing a ways down the hall, but she stopped her search to give her sister a moment to speak. She lowered herself to the ground here, seeing that the blood didn't cover it as much as the front of the hall. Here they wouldn't cause more smears to ruin the crime scene. Her sister's words brought a puzzled look over her face as she listened to what she had to say. One of Venus' own? She could think of at least one who had reason to try and hurt Venus...
“Do you recall what types of feathers?” Mayu asked slowly, messing with the bracelet on her wrist in concern. She hadn't been there through the whole of the event so she couldn't place in her mind who had and had not been around the whole time. She only had information from what others said- second hand information. Who could trust it? She clenched her jaw at the thought wondering how much she knew could really be trusted.
She needed to hurry this up if that was the case. Venus was alone with a single guard- a guard who could possibly be in on it. Mayu tried to keep wild thoughts from entering her mind, but she was so flustered it was hard to keep from assuming everyone was in the wrong in order to keep Venus safe. She brushed the thoughts aside and turned away from her sister, “Let us hurry with our errand then. We can't be missing for long.”
She walked beside the blood streaks, noticing they were beginning to thin out. She stopped suddenly when they turned into a door. She looked over her shoulder at her sisters before back down, catching a glimps of an arrow head peaking out from under the door. What did it mean? Her heart began to race and she took a deep breath. The blood led here so would they find the murder? The bodies? She looked once more to her sisters, giving them a nod to let them know she was going to open the door and they needed to prepare themselves.
With a surprisingly steady hand she reached out for the doorhandle before quickly whisking it open. Instead of catching a murderer off guard her eyes met with a pile of cherubs. She winced expecting her eyes to take in pieces and blood of the poor darlings, but instead they looked... fine? She blinked madly as one tumbled down the pile and landed at her taloned feet. He had no wounds on him what so ever!“WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?”The cry came from the other side of the door, and Mayu pushed it back in towards the pile in order to see who it was, “Kyle?”The little cherub scuttled around her and picked up his buddy before stuffing him back in, “Haven't you seen!? It's cherub hunting season! I gotta keep 'em safe!”“What happened here, Kyle?” Mayu questioned, her head reeling with questions. If that blood wasn't from the cherubs, who's was it? She leaned in closer to the pile and caught a glimpse of one cherub who had sustained some injury. Were those bite marks? Had one of them been chewed on? Others look more in line with the scene in the hallway with arrow's cutting them up, but nothing fatal and there were no other arrows sticking out of them.Kyle stepped in front of her and began bandaging up the cherub Mayu had been looking at, “I dunno I just found 'em. Most are passed out drunk.”“And some chewed on.”“Right. Hunting season.” Mayu nodded at him, but still did not understand. She picked up the silver arrow and looked it over. Yes, it was the same one as the ones found in the other part of the hallway embedded in the wall. If the bodies wouldn't give them hints she supposed they needed to go back that way and take a second look at them. Who could pierce marble as easily as those had?
“I'll send someone to help.” Mayu told the frantic cherub before she turned to her sisters. “Come, let us get back to the scene. We need to investigate further and I need to check in on Venus. She handed the arrow over to one of her sisters, taking to the air once again and heading back down the hallway.
This was getting messy. Perhaps someone could make sense of it. She finally made it back to the mortals and Venus' retinue with her sisters in tow. She held up the arrow and spoke to anyone who would pay attention, "The cherubs are alright. It seems as though that was not their blood that was spilt. We need a head count of the guests and a plan to find who's it is. In the mean time this was with the bodies." She held up the arrow, especially for the retinue to see. "It was with the cherubs."
