As much as Kiani disliked her particular new partner, she realized that she really should train Korbin. And, as she had seen before, woopers could be quite strong. So, when they came across the barboach, Kiani decided to let Korbin prove himself. "Alright Korbin, you took out Nero, let's see what else you can do. Let's get it's attention with an Acid Spray." Kiani said, pointing at barboach. Korbin made sounds like he was choking as acid built up in his mouth before he sprayed it at barboach.

Alterted to the attack by the ripples created when the acid hit the water, the Barboach would dive down into the depths. It wasn't fleeing however. Instead it began swimming in swift, tight circles, causing a funnel and drawing more water down to the bottom. He was creating a Whirlpool, and each second it continued it was drawing the lilypad Korbin and Kiani swere standing on!

((I would have, but Kiani is being impulsive and doesn't really care about the outcome of the battle anymore. Plus, I'm still learning the mechanics so I'm bound to make mistakes.))
That decision was an improper and a bad decision. Barboach had a rather strong move, and he was creating a whirlpool that was pulling them down along with the lilypad they were standing on. Kiani jumped clear, but Korbin was surprised enough to stay on the lilypad. She said nothing, just watched. Korbin chose his own move, attacking with Acid Spray once again.

((Fair. You also missed the damage calculation...and that what you just did was technically a failed counter. Its also now your attack not your dodge. So feel free to edit your post. ))
(7 + 13) = 20 x 2 = 40/5 = 8 DMG
Korbin HP: 6/14
Round and round the Barboach would go, increasing the size and speed of the Whirlpool.
Was whirlpool the only attack this barboach knew? Kiani watched the whirlpool get bigger and bigger as the barboach went round and round. Korbin simply watched, tensed for action if he needed to take any.

Was whirlpool the only attack this barboach knew? Kiani watched the whirlpool get bigger and bigger as the barboach went round and round. Korbin simply watched, tensed for action if he needed to take any.

The barboach just kept swimming around them, making the whirlpool stronger and larger. Kiani watched and waited for a few seconds before making a decision. "Use acid spray again." Kiani commanded. Korbin obeyed, shooting acid at the barboach.

This was a rather tedious battle, as Kiani was coming to learn. For the barboach was continuing to use whirlpool. However, soon the whirlpool lost power and the barboach started to flail about madly, like it was having a seizure. "Jeez, Korbin, try to avoid it." Kiani said. She had watched her brother get a black eye from a splashing magikarp once, so she knew Korbin could possibly take damage from the wild flailing of the barboach.
This is a place made of salt and death. Where fresh water from further inland brings all manner of dead plants to be washed out to sea, but over the years the route has become congested, the slowing of the current allowing new flora to grow over the old and increase the problem. This is a place where the living survive off the dead, so watch your step lest you become something's next meal; and don't drink the water.

Argyle barely stepped into the Cosmic Crater before encountering something. As he landed on the next stone, a Pokemon would pop up right in front of him-- a Kirlia with bright eyes and a wide grin. She'd stare for ten seconds, impeding his progress-- he wouldn't be able to move forward. The Kirlia gazed instensely, with almost an insane amount of enthusiasm in her attitude. But he wouldn't have to long.
>SURPRISE!<
The stone Argyle stood on began to shudder and shake... if he looked down, he'd realize it was suddenly covered in a pink aura. The Kirla floated back, eyes closed and glowing the same aura. >Surprise, surprise,< she trilled in a sing-song voice, and the rock's bucking was more like trying to stay on a wild Rapidash. He'd have to do something, and quick, or risk getting thrown of the rock!
Longwei really didn't want to battle this bird. Fire and water did not mix. The Houndour would try to herd both himself and Jin-Hua past the loud bird to try and escape onward!

Alexander soon became aware of the fact that he was being glared at by his partner due to where they ended up.>"Even the rust bucket would be better than this. Then something else would be doing the rusting,"<the pokemon commented bitterly as his trainer pulled the wooden sword out of his pack and kept a good grip on it. Even if the boy couldn't understand what the pawniard was saying, he at least recognized the displeasure in his teammate's voice."No sense standing here groaning. The sooner we get this done, the sooner we can head back to the school."As he spoke, Alexander started trudging through the bog, using the wooden sword to test the ground with each step. No point ending his journey early by sinking into a swamp.
As the pair continued forward, the water would become slightly deeper. The dark murky water was now up to Alexander's ankles and slightly deeper for the Pawniard. Out of the blue popped out a pokemon! The Barboach stared intently at them before laughing happily. ">Friends! It gets quite lonely here! Why not stay and play?<" Though the tone was fairly friendly, the Barboach blocked the path onward. What would the two do?
