Chance just took another drink from his own soda and let his gaze move back to the screen.
Approximately ten minutes later, he let out a yell of triumph and said, "I knew they were going to get out of that elephant graveyard alive hah. I totally knew it, except now he's gonna be in deep s**t with his dad, isn't he, oh s**t, you did it now, Simba - "
Chance took another sip of soda and said, "I don't trust that creepy old lion, though, just look at him, he looks like a creep."

"It'd be a short movie if they kicked the bucket this far in." It was a little endearing how into the movie Chance was getting. Otto quietly enjoyed his outbursts while sipping at his drink. "Chance, don't judge a book by it's cover. That old crank might have the best of intentions." Lies, all lies. And not even good lies. Otto was incapable of lying.

"Okay, well, there is that point," said Chance, lifting his chin. "But, you know, he totally does not seem like he has the best intentions, he seems like he's trying to be king, right? He wants to fight Simba's dad for the throne all dramatic and s**t."
He ate a few more Doritos, eyes fixed on the movie. Onscreen, the hyenas were snapping at the wildebeest, and Chance was leaning forward without realizing he was, reaching absently to grab his pillow again and hold it against his stomach as he watched.
Two minutes later:
"Dude, don't fall for that Simba, you're totally better than that."
Two minutes after that:
"Simba, the ******** are you doing?"
One minute:
"SIMBA NO."
And approximately three minutes following that outburst:
"WHAT THE ******** - "

It was at this point Otto finally let loose and laughed as if he'd never laughed before. The bowl of popcorn nearly fell off his lap as he held his stomach, the laughter rolling out of him mercilessly, tears in his eyes the longer he laughed. He laughed even as little Simba wrapped himself in his dead dad's paw.

Chance reached over, very carefully extracted the bowl of popcorn from Otto's lap, and slung an arm around Otto's shoulders in a headlock, ruffling his hair.
"You were totally just going to sit there and let me watch this ******** movie you little ******** - "

Otto was still laughing, even in a headlock. "Yep!" He laughed aloud, "Totally was! Still gunna!" He was grinning like a fool. "It was priceless! Your face!!"

"YOU ARE THE ******** WORST!" Chance bellowed, reaching for the Southern Comfort and pouring them both a shot as, on screen, Timon and Puumba began to show Simba the ropes. "I can't believe I believed you this time. You said there was no death in this movie you ******** class="quote">bittiface

"I never said there was no death. In fact, I avoided admitting to death the whole time you asked. All I said was it's a family movie and that everything would be fine." Otto never, in fact, lied.

Chance had let go of Otto in favor of the booze. He pointed a finger accusingly at him.
"You're still a little s**t," he said, eyes narrowed. "I totally am not gonna believe you the next time you say that everything will be fine, that death scene was totally the worst."
Chance knocked back the shot, wiped his mouth, and slumped back against the couch again, leaning his head against Otto's shoulder, snorting.
"If anyone else dies, I'm ******** boycotting Disney."

Otto chuckled. "Worth it." He'd lose the trust of Chance for the joy of a good troll.
"Are you sure? Cause that limits a lot of movies, man. Not just Disney." Because, in fact, the villain would be dying in this film. But he wondered if Chance would count that as a reason to boycott Disney. He was about to warn Chance never to watch Bambi...
But...
He smiled. No, Bambi he would save for another night. He twirled his shot glass, after taking a shot, and did so villainously.

"Yes," said Chance, and then a second later, "No. Probably not, but that's beside the point, you now owe me."
He liked the segue from childhood to adult, Chance's eyes following the progression with interest. As soon as the lionness appeared, however, he gave a shout and pointed at the screen, an aha escaping from him.
"That's totally his lion girlfriend, ******** yeah I knew she'd come back, look at her making eyes at him."
The bottle was passed over to Otto again as the first few notes of Can You Feel the Love Tonight began to play.

Otto sighed, pouring another shot. "I'm gunna be a damned drunken mess by the time this movie ends.." Otto muttered, taking yet another shot. "Christ.." "Yeah, she's totally gunna ******** him. Right there on screen." "With his best friends watching. Nasty perverts."

"And there's a problem with that because...?" said Chance. He gave an easy laugh. "Don't worry, you don't have to drink if you seriously don't want to, it just feels pretty nice to like, get shitfaced and do nothing after all the s**t that's happened."
He made a half strangled noise in his throat and snorted with laughter.
"This is a children's movie," Chance hissed, but he couldn't hide the grin on his face. "She's totally not gonna ******** him right there on screen, holy s**t. Maybe offscreen..."
