Look-See stretched and hummed to herself while the others deliberated on what little info they knew. They had nothing. Just speculation.
"I'm amazed at how quickly the votes can snowball. The Once and Future King got an alarming amount of votes so it's sufficient to say the wolves can throw their lot in with the masses to do double duty killing." It's not that she was personally fond of Doubleback even though they were standing abreast. The doe was just easier to see than the other drab ones, including herself.
"It's early in the game. It won't get interesting until a few more rounds that is if I am still alive at that point. " Look-See paused. "I think it's suspicious that Doubleback has so many votes already for bringing up a point that many have considered."

Bare trees sighed softly, looking around at the votes that are spread out at this moment. Time was ticking and others needed to make decisions, such as herself, she wouldn't miss out this time.
While people can read into others actions and words a lot right now, there's simply not much to go on at the moment and proof of that was the scattered votes. She was suspicious of some others as well, but she'd bite her tongue and say her vote for now. "Certainly isn't fair to pick on those who do not speak -- admittedly it may look suspicious but -- also we shouldn't be so quick to suspect those who have strong opinions. That can be an ally as well, to always open discussions rather to keep still."

Apathy remained noncommittal to Fire Made Flesh for lack of concrete information, and for that same reason she did not have strong leanings for anyone else. However, the day was nearly past, and to refrain from voting would be to put control in the hooves of another.
"If I must vote, then let it be for Unsung. It does not bring us any closer to discovering the wolves, perhaps, but it does not put us back, either, if they're already at risk of being killed," she said, with a glance at their Merry host. She knew not how patient he'd be, only that a vote was better than none at all.

Flesh resolved to silence, smartly allowing others to speak lest his rash decisions get him into the sort of trouble he found himself in during the first round. As more and more kin gleaned information the deemed sufficient to make their votes, Flesh was relieved and pleased that his name was lacking in those votes cast so far.
He considered the purple-and-green doe who was being accused of lobbying for his death, but he actually found her logic sound. If it wasn't his own life at stake, he might support her. But he doubted he could vote for himself. That would be defeating the whole purpose of the game.
Anyone close to Flesh might hear the dragon muttering and rumbling, rolling about thoughts on his tongue until they were as smooth and worn down as a pebble barraged by waves. Seeing as how his words had nearly cost him death in the first round, Flesh did not feel obligated to explain his vote. But perhaps that was a mistake, after the fiasco of his first vote without explanation.
"Wintershadow earns my vote," the dragon cast gruffly. "There's just something off about you. Like you're uncomfortable with us looking at you. What are you hiding?"

"I vote for Trouble. Wintershadow and Doubleback seem thoughtful so far, whereas Trouble seems to be more random." She shrugged. A vote was better than none.

"Alright, so Watch the Skies voted for Fire Made Flesh. The wolves killed her off for a reason. It could have been to point us to him. Which would be too obvious." He spoke uncertainly, he wasn't sure in this, but he did truly believe that Watch the Skies's early death was a key not to be forgotten. Something in him nagged that it was a trap. Wolves were cunning, they had to be. But as he listened, more and more kin were throwing out Doublebacks's name, all for pushing the dragon. Not wanting to join her on the pedistle they had made for her, he kept his suspicions quiet for now. He'd need more evidence to convince anyone that the obvious dragon was literally as obvious as he felt. There was also Wintershadow and Trouble to consider, also popular votes.
He thought about his vote for a long time before giving a nod, "I believe my vote this round will be for Trouble. If arbitrary is worrisome, then her vote was just weak in my opinion."
"I'll cast my vote for Trouble, too," Wild Sage chimed in. "Inconsistent behavior is a huge red flag.
"Sorry, honey," he added with a flirtatious wink. "No hard feelings, right?"

Kiss of Death nodded at the neon haired doe once more. Even between the arguments that were deliberately pointing at Doubleback now, somehow she still didn't feel like she was a predator. Why did this scenario seem like another deja vu moment? Shaking her head she had to keep her mind calm. She's confusing the last game with the current one.
Looking back at Apathy, Kiss of Death shook her head no. "There is nothing about me to be called Dotty. Besides, I don't like the sound of it. Like you're marking me or something." After having said that, she gave the doe a serious look. "You're not marking me, are you?" Her eyebrow furrowed upwards and she took a step back. Her gut wavered whether to trust this doe or not now.
Turning back to the debates, she had no choice but to speak up. "I believe it's neither scaly or skele..." At least that's what her gut is telling her. "There is also a fact that the other Watch, whatever his name is, the green, winged one. His reason to vote for the cow-like doe was because he didn't want two Watches in the game. That to me, is even stranger than the reason the old scaly dragon gave. It's possible that a wolf would vote someone and say that they're sorry after the killing has passed. Sorry in this game doesn't mean anything to me. Watch the Skies is already dead. My vote goes to him (As the Sun Burns)." That's it. She had said what has been bothering her. Quickly, she lowered her head in fear. Slowly, she traced her steps and walked away backwards. The game's participants don't seem to like overly talkative kin either. She get that. Letting out a silent prayer to motherfather, Kiss of Death prayed to be still alive by tomorrow.
Doubleback turned towards Sun Sinks Down, the tan and orange doe that had accused her. "I think I made it pretty clear why I suspected Fire Made Flesh, however if I had really been pushing for him, don't you think I would have started a vote? A bandwagon, as we have seen, and as previous players will remember, is quite an effective tool. Perhaps you know this?" She let her eyelids flutter down, noxious green over golden irises. "I am inclined to believe the things I have said were not 'pushing awfully hard'. I simply tried to raise other avenues of thought."
She was glad the participants were more active this round. Last round everyone had been quiet and that made it very hard to formulate any opinion or thought. Being able to hear everyone's opinions certainly helped.
"Fire Made Flesh had two things against him, that he had been the first to vote for the now deceased Watch, and that he had twice been accused and never responded to those accusations. It is my opinion that anyone who is prey benefits from convincing their allies that they are innocent." Perhaps a reiteration of her thinking was superfluous and unneeded. But Doubleback thought it was important to be clear now, especially that her name had come up in the votes. If she should die, then at the very least she should leave behind something for others to analyze. That was the best way to help her fellows. "However, he's shown a willingness to answer and he explained his vote which is good enough for me at this stage."

She nodded her head, thoughtful. "I feel that Doubleback and Wintershadow have been rather helpful as well and had more thought behind their statements, of course that doesn't mean they are completely innocent but..." Bare Trees took a long pause. "Trouble will have my vote for this round." She wanted to explain herself more but --- truly, as many have said, first few rounds had to be random since there was insufficient evidence. "Hopefully ..the next day may bring more clues.."
((btw anes spreadsheet says im playing beast inside but i changed to bare trees before the final count ;v; ))
Sage shuffled a little as Kiss of Death spoke. "Uhhh, can you not describe him as 'the green winged one'? Makes me think you're talking about my markings, haha." He squinted in As The Sun Burns' direction. "I think that's a dead crane on his back, anyways - they're not actually his wings. I mean, they're technically his, because he owns the crane's body, I guess, but." He shook his head to stop himself from overexplaining. "You know what I mean."

Wild Cry mentally shrugges to himself. He necer played well in big groups, preferring to watch and carry on the tale. Some were meant to play the large role in the story, but he was more suited to carry it on. The results from the wolf attach was quite gruesome, but as anyone in the swamp knows - nature will run its course.
His eyes twinkled as he heard his name mentioned. Perhaps that will be his role-picked off early, but then his name would be lost forever in the great scheme of things. That would be the greatest tragedy of all.
Wild Cry did what he did best, watched and then made a decision, "I feel the courses set against Doubleback is more convincing than some. "

Trouble frowns in consternation at all the votes going her way. "..Perhaps I should have taken my own advice and remained quiet. Look what happened to the last doe who spoke her mind." She sighs a little and settles in glumly as she watches the rest of the events play out. "How I've been random so far eludes me, though, as I've merely contributed to points already made by others. But, I digress. The game will go as it goes, I suppose."

Startled, she looked around to see who was talking to her. "Oh!" was all she could say as the buck went on. "I'm sorry, I had no idea how to properly describe him. I didn't mean you, of course." Her face flushed red. "I.. have never seen a crane before." Squinting into the direction that As the Sun Burns is standing, she tried to see what Sage was seeing.
Mortified and terrified, Sleepless spent some moments alone with the pounding thoughts in her head, and by the time she'd gotten out of it, she'd missed quite a bit of back and forth (though not the part where Bitter End had nominated Story - that blackguard! She'd clearly done it on purpose!). At first she'd remained silent from embarrassment and shame, then, drawn back into the intrigue, she was merely listening. Listening, thinking, noting down a list of names (which may or may not include Bitter End's).
After a few more votes, the lie of the land seemed reasonably clear.
"Trouble," she said, nodding apologetically at the doe, "for practicality's sake, if nothing else."
