Content with the nicknames she had given to her Pokemon, she gave them both a few pets before hearing something step towards her way. Blinking a few times, the girl turned her head to see a little Pokemon making its' way towards her and her Pokemon. At first Yuki stood onto her feet, almost letting out a soft hiss at the new Pokemon. Almost panicking, Marina waved her hand a bit before lifting up the fox Pokemon. "H-hey, hey it's okay Yuki! I-it's just a friendly little g-guy.." Moving Yuki to the other side of where she was sitting, the Pokemon let out a huff through her nose.
Letting out a soft sigh, she petted over Yuki's fur, doing her best to calm down. Her attention was soon back on the new comer. Tilting her head slightly, she pulled out her Pokedex once more, scanning the Pokemon and let the robotic voice speak out. "Oddish, the Weed Pokmon. During the daytime, Oddish buries itself in soil to absorb nutrients from the ground using its entire body. The more fertile the soil, the glossier its leaves become." Nodding to herself, she placed the Pokedex back to her bag before giving the little weed Pokemon a warm smile. "Well, you're an Oddish huh? My name is Marina!"
Soon Marina carefully placed a hand out towards the Oddish, wondering if it would want to sniff her scent before allowing her to pet it as well. She wondered if the little weed Pokemon had seen her giving some pets for her own Pokemon and would want some of the action. Not long after, the newbie trainer heard a voice calling out towards her direction. A male made his closer to the girl and the three Pokemon, sighing over something. Blinking she stared up towards the other, she was still sitting on the ground of course. The male seem to be apologizing about something. What was he apologizing for..?
Then it hit her, he was talking about the Oddish once the said Oddish was picked up by the other. "He didn't bother you, did he?" Marina got up onto her feet, brushing away any dirt off of herself while waving her other hand. "Oh n-no no harm was d-done! He w-was actually just watching. He s-seems pretty cute." Marina soon felt a little embarrassed over the way she had spoken up about the weed Pokemon, soon rubbing the back of her head. She knew that some male trainers didn't like having cute Pokemon in their teams, so she hoped that he didn't find that comment offensive of his Pokemon.
Lifting her head, she couldn't help but noticed another male with blonde hair a little back from where the first male had came from. Was he a trainer as well? Her answer was confirmed when she noticed the Mudkip by his side and another Pokemon she couldn't quite put the name in her head. Marina couldn't help but point over to the other trainer, smiling. "Oh, you g-got a Mudkip too? You must be the t-trainer Professor Birch mentioned to me." She didn't want to assume the thought right away, but it seem like that trainer was indeed just a newbie trainer like herself, just coming from the lab.

Peaches approached Bandit with a happy chirp before gently nuzzling the raccoon-like Pokemon in a loving manner. Kosmo, ever interested in the world around it, bounced after the Oddish in the direction of the girl and her Mudkip, away from the other two humans. When close enough to them, it circled around them both as if sizing them up before settling down beside its newest ‘buddy’, Spinach. Scott, unaware of their Pokemons’ movement away from them, nodded along to Lawlett’s explanation. ”I had never really considered it, but Ranger work does seem rather interesting.” When asked about whether or not he was a trainer, Scott hesitated for a moment. ”I’m…. not entirely sure yet. I’m sure that sounds absolutely mental, you know, starting some big journey without knowing what you’re going to do. I’m still trying to figure it out at the moment.”
”Yeah… it took about a week to get here. Granted, I did make a minor pit stop. It was scenic however. The Hoenn region, from what I’ve seen thus far has been rather beautiful.” He listened attentively as Lawlett told him that he was from around the area, and he kind of awkwardly nudged the male’s shoulder. ”Then you’d make a great tour guide, eh?” he teased, but internally was screaming because he absolutely was not joking in the slightest. If he had any hopes of making his way through this region, he could really use someone who actually knew their way around.
As Lawlett noticed that Spinach was missing, Scott glanced around as well, noting an absent Kosmo. Well s**t nuggets. Twenty minutes and he had already lost track of his very first Pokemon. Great. Just… absolutely fantastic. When Lawlett addressed a girl a bit further away from them, he whirled around and breathed a sigh of relief when he spotted the little fuzz ball and immediately went over to scoot it up. No way was he going to let it out of his sight again. Now with his own Pokemon secured, Scott took a moment to look at the girl that they had walked over too. She seemed a bit younger than himself, and definitely shorter. At her question, he nodded slowly, taking a moment to glance down at Peaches who stood dutifully at his side. ”I suppose so too…” The blonde lifted his attention back to the girl. And moved a bit closer to hold his hand out to her. ”My name’s Scott. This is Peaches and Kosmo,” he stated, gesturing to his own Pokemon with a small nod of his head. ”I’m guessing that you’re a new trainer too.”

Bandit eyed the mudkip curiously before it nuzzled into him. He was still for a second then just moved his tail back and forth contently and leaned into the cuddle slightly. Armed with a companion, the oddish chirped at Kosmo as if accepting his presence and his companionship. Lawlett, meanwhile, nodded to Scott. "Yeah just seems like... um fulfilling work or whatever to help out. It seems better than say being a grocery bagger. Not that we don't like need that job. Just if I'm going to do something, I'd rather be content doing it." He gave a shrug and rubbed the back of his head. Scott wasn't a grocery bagger right? When Scott mentioned he didn't know what to do Lawlett gave a nod. "Nah man, I get it. I mean just became a ranger like... today. We don't know what we're doing right away. Don't need to like rush into anything." He gave a nod to the male. Words of advice right?
"Scientific pit stop huh?" Lawlett inquired but he wasn't going to push it if Scott didn't want to tell him. "Yeah I mean it's cool here. I think it lost its charm on me just cause I'm used to it." He gave a smile. "But nah a lot of people say its got its own charm." When SCott mentioned tour guide Lawlett paused for a moment then nodded. "Yeah probably like the worst kind of tour guide but I do sometimes know where I'm going. You're free to stick around if you want. Just if we get lost, don't act too surprised." He tried to joke with the other back. "Consider yourself warned ya know?" He gave a slight grin.
Spinach groaned and kicked its feet in the air in frustration when Lawlett picked him then huffed and accepted defeat. Bandit and Jaws slowly made their way over with the later staring at Spinach and his attitude. "Cute?" He turned to Spinach and shrugged. "Yeah I mean I guess. He is kinda cute." The girl said she didn't bother her and Lawlett nodded. "Yeah that's good. Still I'm sorry about that. He's being a real pain today. He's walking around acting like he can do whatever he wants." He set Spinach down. "Maybe I need to get like... one of them badges or whatever to get him to cool his lid." As Scott reached out to shake the females hand, Lawlett turned to the girl and gave a wave. "Lawlett." He said giving a rather short introduction before letting them finish their conversation of starters. He scratched his head and watched quietly. Maybe he should have got one of them. Eh. Too late now.
Spinach gave out a loud chirp and Lawlett turned behind him to see what made the oddish so upset. There seemed to be another Pokemon which made its way over and just bit onto the oddish. "Woah hey!" Lawlett said and pulled the Pokemon off Spinach who chirped and stomped his feet angerly. "Hey little man. Not cool." The Pokemon looked at Lawlett, blinked twice then bit down HARD on his hand. "Ah ********> Lawlett groaned and dropped the Pokemon. It jumped back and forth almost trying to get attention before a man ran over to group. "Hey! If that's your stupid Gible, could you put in a Pokeball!? The damn thing ran around and just ruined my fruit stand!" Lawlett held his hand and eyed the Pokemon. "Hey man, it's not mine. I don't know anything about that." The man looked angerly at the Pokemon. "Fine! Then I'll teach the Pokemon not to mess with my business." He huffed and reached for the Gible. It made a loud chirp and ran behind Lawlett almost afraid. "Oh come here you little shi-" Lawlett frowned. "Look man, you're scaring it. Why don't you back up. I'll handle it." The man frowned, not liking that response. "You just said it wasn't yours. How about you butt out since its not your problem anymore!" Lawlett laughed. "Excuse me?" He asked. "You heard me! Why don't you just run along and play catch em all with your friends or some s**t and leave the stupid trouble maker to me."
The man went to move around Lawlett and he stepped in the way again. Without batting an eye or changing his mixed face of confusion and rage, he reached into his pocket and threw a Pokeball at the Gible. It blinked once, twice, then three times. He turned back to the guy, his face confused and angry. "Huh well look at that. I guess it is my gible. I'm real sorry that Chomps messed with your stand. I'll make sure he doesn't do it again." Lawlett gave a face of test me and the man huffed and walked off. Lawlett watched the man until he was out of sight then released the Gible from the Pokeball. It stared up Lawlett shaking. "Hey little dude. Its okay. I'm real sorry if we all scared you." Lawlett put his chewed on hand to his stomach and reach out with his good hand. The Gible eyed it and backed up a little. "Hey its okay. Not going to hurt you." Lawlett said and just held his hand out for the Pokemon to sniff. Chomps hesitated for a second then walked past the hand and sat on Lawlett's feet, starting to calm down. "Or uh that works too."

While Marina was giving the little Oddish some attention when they came over and sat with her and her own Pokemon, that was when she soon noticed a new Pokemon making their way over to her as well. Surprised, she watched it as it circled herself and her Pokemon. When it seem to be done, it sat next to the Oddish that came over to her. Smiling a little more, she couldn't help but to find this action really cute. "W-why hello there. You must be this Pokemon's f-friend huh? Nice to m-meet you to!" Spending some time with each of these new Pokemon, that was when the two males came over to her, making her stand up onto her feet.
Learning what each of their hands were, Marina was starting to feel a little bit nervous. There was really no reason to feel nervous right? Scott was a new trainer just like her, so maybe...he was nervous as well? His face expression didn't seem like he was all too nervous, she wished she knew how others could act so calmly when interacting with new people. Soon Scott had moved closer with his hand out, introducing himself and his Pokemon. Time to do this calmly and carefully. Letting out a soft giggle, Marina lifted her own hand to take a held of Scott's and give it a small shake. "I'm Marina. T-this is Yuki and Creampuff." With her free hand, she poked down to the fox-like Pokemon and the second Mudkip in the group. "H-hopefully we won't mix up our Mudkips." She tried her best to let out a joke, but Creampuff just let out a small snort. Was it a bad joke?
Marina was looking at Cremapuff when he snorted, soon looking back over to Scott, "I’m guessing that you’re a new trainer too." She smiled and nodded to his question. "A-ah yea! I just came back from the l-lab myself. Everything on this p-point is new for me." She rubbed the back of her head shyly, hoping that she didn't look useless to someone that she just met. Who knew if one of these guys had lived in Hoenn an traveled into the whole region their own lives. Whoever could manage to do that must have a lot of free time in their lives huh? But taking a look at Scott, his question of her being a new trainer too. So...maybe her thoughts of what she was just thinking was wrong, most likely overthinking such things. It made her feel a little calmer with rethinking about Scott's question.
While this exchange was going on, Marina had almost forgotten about the trainer that owned the Oddish, looking over to him and seeing the Oddish wiggling its' little feet from trying to get away, she chuckled softly over the small action of it seemingly to give up. She watched as the other male soon placed the Pokemon down as he spoke, mentioning of hopefully getting a badge to hope that it would help the said Pokemon listen to him better. He waved a name and introduced himself as well. Smiling, she waved a hand in return. "I'm Marina." It was silly of repeating her name to the other trainer, he had most likely been listening to the two of them before, but nonetheless, she thought it would have been polite to just say her name face to face to Lawlett instead.
Hearing a loud chirp, the girl took the same action as Lawlett did and looked over to what the Oddish was doing. With the other's reaction, it seem like this was going to be a normal thing for the little weed Pokemon. Marina wasn't sure to laugh over the thought, or to be worried. She stepped aside and watched as Lawlett took off to stop what was happening with Spinach and the other Pokemon. It only turned out to be a bad idea, causing the other to shout out a swear from getting bitten. Marina couldn't help but let out a small gasp. "A-are you alright..?" She made her way over to the small group, unsure if Scott would follow behind.
Once she got closer to Lawlett, a man came over to just..yell at Lawlett? Just what the heck was this guy's problem? With the exchange being tossed between the both of them, Marina couldn't help but start to pout. "E-even if it's not your's or his P-Pokemon..t-that's not the way to treat it..! L-like Lawlett said, you're scaring it." From the man's point of view of a short girl, pouting and stepping in, it only made him laugh. "Oh please, what are you doing to do little girl?" The man just waved his hand towards Marina, shooing her away. "Now go away, the grown ups are talking." Again, what the HECK was this guy's problem?!
Not sure of what to say from that point, Marina felt defeated and crossed her arms, gazing to the side to just be out of the way. She looked towards the scared Gible. She wanted to help comfort it, but she wasn't too sure how scared it was and if that it would bite her. With Marina now out of the way from the two, the man shifted like he was going to push Lawlett out of the way to grab the Pokemon, instead, something else happened. Lawlett took out a Pokeball, tossing it towards the Gible. Marina was surprised just as the man was. "Huh well look at that. I guess it is my Gible. I'm real sorry that Chomps messed with your stand. I'll make sure he doesn't do it again."
With the man huffing and puffing, he soon walked away. Uncrossing her arms, she watched as Lawlett released the Gible out of the pokeball, reassuring that he wasn't going to hurt it. Once the Pokemon seem to be relaxed being around Lawlett, Marina shifted to take a better look at it. "It seems to l-like you Lawlett!" Shifting her arms, she gazed to the side once more. "S-sorry for getting in the w-way..um.." She wasn't too sure what else to say from that point.

Both Marina and Lawlett seemed like interesting people, the latter a bit skittish—this was probably her first time out in the wild just like him—and the former simply seemed to know what he wanted to do. Which couldn’t really be said the same for Scott. Becoming a ranger sounded pretty interesting, but he wasn’t completely sure if the whole rescuing and doing missions for other people was really for him. Not that he didn’t enjoy helping people and whatnot, but… he felt like he could apply his skill set to something else entirely. Not to guiding people around, however. As he quickly learned on this short journey, he wasn’t great with directions and navigating new places. Something Lawlett apparently could relate to as well.
”Peaches and Creampuff, huh? An interesting combination. Let’s hope we don’t. That would be rather… unfortunate,” he commented in regards to Marina’s worry that they might mix up their Pokemon. Maybe he would make an effort to accessorize his Pokemon in one way or another simply to recognize them from at a glance. It would be unfortunate if he accidentally lost his own partners hours after receiving them. That, and his sister would totally kill him if he lost track of Kosmo. Speaking of which… He swiveled around and walked over to the dusty Pokemon before scooping it back up into his arms and keeping it there for the time being while Peaches kept close to his feet.
With his back turned, Scott didn’t notice at Lawlett and Marina’s attention had diverted somewhere else until Lawlett loudly cursed, the sound causing him to whip around faster than a Bulbasaur’s vinewhip. His brow furrowed slightly when he saw another male approach the two none too friendly and he decided to walk over and attempt to interrupt whatever was going on. However, before he could step up and say anything and prove that he was capable of more than just making a fool of himself, Lawlett spoke up in the defense of the frightened Gible behind him, surprising Scott with both his assertiveness and creativity with how he handled the situation. Marina, on the other hand, seemed to be getting the short end of the stick. Wow. How manly. Being rude to a girl for no apparent reason. Real mature. If the guy hadn’t walked away, well, he would have had to catch some fists. Or, at least, some insults.
Now that the confrontation was dissolved, Scott turned his attention to the Gible—Chomps apparently—sitting on Lawlett’s feet. ”I agree with Marina, it seems to have taken a liking to you, Lawlett.” Noticing the injured hand for the first time, the blond adjusts Kosmo to he can free up one hand and rummage around in his bag for an adhesive bandage before holding it out to the brunet. ”Here. Lawlett had tried his best to not listen in on Marina and Scott's talking. Well. Tried. He wasn't nosey but he did catch pieces. So they were both new trainers. Nice. Scott had already asked Lawlett for directions in this region. He wondered if Marina would be needing his help too. Then he was wondering how day one out the gate he was in charge of a few Pokemon and now two people. He scratched his neck nervously. Damn. Maybe the ranger life was really looking up for him in more ways than one.
Lawlett nodded at Marina's introduction. "Cool." Was his version of nice to meet you. Though when everything went down, Lawlett did notice Marina step forward which was new. He didn't think she would be one to stand up but well. I guess you shouldn't assume things about people. Both Scott and Marina had pointed out the gible seemed to like him but Lawlett thought the little champ was probably just happy he didn't have some jerk chasing him. "Yeah seems like he just bites and then opens up." Honestly who doesn't though? When Marina apologized to Lawlett the other couldn't help but let out a soft laugh. "Sorry? Nah Marina. That was cool." He said. "You weren't in the way. These little dudes can't speak for themselves. Someone's gotta." He nodded and nudged her shoulder. "Just like... don't let that a*****e get to you. He's being a d**k."
His attention was pulled from Marina to Scott when the male offered him a bandage for the bite. Yeah. That thing. Lawlett nodded and took the bandage before carefully taking care of his injury. "Thanks." Lawlett nodded to the other. He gave a soft grin at the getting lost. "Yeah speaking off. If we want to get lost, we should probably start." He put his hands in his jacket pocket and turned towards the path toward Oldale town. "I think it'd be best if we head toward Oldale Town. Its right down here." He turned to Marina. "You uh are like free to follow or whatever. Up to you. I'm helping Scott here navigate with my poor abilities." He gave a smile and then waited for the other members to say whether they were ready or not.
"Well. Let's roll out then." He motioned with his head and made his way down the path with his team close behind him.

It was nice to see Scott had agreed with her worry of mixing both of their Mudkips up. Of course their starters knew of their nicknames, but they looked like twins for the most part. Thinking for the best way the two could tell them apart, Marina softly clapped her hands together. "Oh! Maybe I can try to see if there's a shop somewhere that would some type of ribbon, or a bell! I think Creampuff would look very cute w-wearing something like that around his neck. Peaches t-too of course!" In all honestly, most Pokemon would look cute with some tie of ribbon, bell, bow ties, or any type of accessories. Creampuff took a moment to look up to his trainer before shaking his little head for a moment. Girls, right?
Looking over to Lawlett, she nodded over his comment over her introduction. She knew what he meant even if it didn't sound like he wasn't paying too much attention, it was fine! Sometimes the way she shuttered would annoy people, so she only hoped she hadn't annoyed the other. That shouldn't be the case, right? Once the whole thing with the rude man was over, Marina was still standing there nervously. In a way, it would have been best if she didn't step up and say anything at all, but she couldn't bear to watch the poor Pokemon to get yelled at. It wasn't its' fault that it was scared after all. Rubbing her arm, she almost froze with Lawlett softly laughed from her apology.
"Sorry? Nah Marina. That was cool." Marina couldn't help but blink a few times. Cool? He thought what she did was..cool? Before she could really process of the other had said to her, he soon nudged her shoulder. He told her not to let the rude older 'gentleman' to get the best of her. Marina couldn't help but blush slightly, giving him a soft nod. "R-right..Pokemon can speak up s-so..we have to do it." She nodded again, agreeing with the statement Lawlett had said. Marina turned her head to look over to Scott, who was now closer over to the both of them. She hadn't noticed Scott coming over when the old man was yelling at the both of them, but she was happy that he didn't run off or anything like that.
Scott even agreed with the girl that the wild Gible had taking a liking to the ranger. Well, it wasn't a wild Pokemon anymore thanks to Lawlett, it was now his own Pokemon and named Chomps. It was actually a pretty cute nickname. Scott soon helped out Lawlett with his injured hand, Marina almost forgetting about the bite and feeling bad about that. She was worried of what the man had yelled and said to them, but like the ranger had told her, she shouldn't let it get to her. Shaking her head slightly to get the thoughts out of her mind, she turned her attention back to the ranger. Blinking, he mentioned that they should head off if they wanted to get lost together.
Marina wasn't too sure on what the other meant by the getting lost thing, but it may have been something the two had a conversation about before Marina had stepped into the picture. Lawlett soon turned back to her, making her look up to him as he spoke, "You uh are like free to follow or whatever. Up to you. I'm helping Scott here navigate with my poor abilities." Okay, that made a little more sense to her now, she was in her own mind to notice of Scott's comment towards the other of getting lost together. Returning the smile, she nodded her head. "W-well as long as you both don't mind. I t-think it'll be fun to follow a-along!"
Starting to return to her less worried and more cheerful self, Creampuff let out a soft 'Kip!' before running over to Marina's side. Marina blinked to bend down to her Pokemon before the water Pokemon hopped onto her shoulder. She let out a soft giggle over that, soon Yuki walking beside her. Marina gave the fox-like Pokemon a few pets before standing back up. She looked towards both Lawlett and Scott before following along with them. With her Mudkip on her shoulder, this would help her not mistake her Mudkip for Scott's.

Visiting Professor Birch was fun at the lab in Littleroot town, he was nice and gave Julian all the information that he needed to get started again. It was neat to think that he was getting to start with a fresh look on the Hoenn Region, he had been there a few times before but never like this, and this was going to be one of his best adventures yet, he could feel it. The professor was nice enough to give him some Pokeballs and Potions that he would need, and then he also gave him a new Pokedex, and then the Torchic that he asked for. Julian was excited to meet the fire type, and get to know the newer Pokemon that he had met on his journey to the new region so far. He left the lab with Nigel on his shoulder, and decided to leave Rina at the Pokemon Lab for now since he had some other Pokemon that he wanted to get to know.

Julian was walking through littleroot town now, ready to start traveling, and he had his new Torchic with him, and then on his way through Johto to get to Hoenn he had met a Tyranitar that wanted to travel with him too, and he thought that this would be a good chance to get to know one of the Pokemon that he had gotten to meet at the end of his last journey with his more trained Pokemon, the legendary Pokemon Groudon. Julian decided to go to Hoenn so the Groudon could feel more at home in somewhere familiar, and so far the giant Pokemon was getting used to traveling with him and he was getting to know him better so they could work together as a team. Julian was excited to see what Hoenn had to see, he wanted to get some gym badges again and see what the leaders were like in the new region he was in, so he brought up a map on his Pokedex to look and see where he needed to go first.

When Julian was looking at the map, he did see a lot of familiar locations that he would want to go visit soon, he met a lot of Pokemon in his journey before that he made friends with, but he didn't capture because they were still traveling. He wanted to go visit them, and tell them about his new travels and see if they might want to come with him, and the thought was really exciting to get to see some of his friends again. It looked like he would have to go through Oldale Town to get away from littleroot town, but he couldn't get to mauvile town that way since there was water. He didn't have any Pokemon that could surf yet, so it looked like he would have to go to petalburg to keep going that way. He was alright with the traveling, it was something that he enjoyed, and he knew that nigel would really like getting to see all the new places too as they started to walk through the region.
When Marina brought up buying some sort of accessories for their twin Mudkips, Scott nodded in agreement. It wasn’t a bad idea, having a visual way of keeping their two Pokémon distinctly separate. It would really make things easier in the long run. Maybe he would even let Peaches decide what kind of accessory she wanted while they were inside of the shop. He glanced down at the small Mudkip at his feet and raises a brow at her when she looked back up toward him. ”What do you think of that idea?” he asked, pleased when she happily ran between his legs. Well, looked like she was on board with this idea. Maybe he’d even get something for Kosmo, though… picking something out for a ball of wispy fur would be a lot harder. He would see.
Scott cracked his own smile when Lawlett seemed to get his joke and acknowledged the brunet’s decision to move on to the next town with a tilt his head. ”Sounds good to me. I’m sure that we’ll make it in no time at all… if we stay on the trail that is. Assuming there is one, of course. From my understanding there should be. Either way, I’m sure we’ll get there one way or another.” He glanced back at Marina, wondering if she too would be following them onto their next destination, or hanging back for a bit. Lawlett, however, managed to beat him to the punch. He didn’t really mind either way; company was always good for the road and maybe if she tagged along, they would have better luck on finding their way to Oldale Town. That was a weird name for a town… Oldale. Regardless of the name of the town, Marina decided to tag along as well and the three of them set off down the path leading out of Littleroot Town.

Aelin stepped away from the lab and towards the exit of the small town she was in. She looked down at the cute little fire type in her arms and pat it's head again. The Torchic trilled a little bit as she did so. Suddenly, a man sprinted into the town and jogged towards her. I have a package for Aelin." He said, handed her a box and ran off.

Looking at the small box in her hand, the Torchic tilted it's head to the side. Aelin did the same but to the other side. Torchic climbed to her shoulder, and the brunette opened the box. Inside was a couple berries, a scarf, a drink, and a pokeball. She was surprised to see a pokeball. Inside was also a note. 'Congratulations, you have been selected as a winner of our raffle! Please take good care of these items.' A little puzzled, Aeling put the items in her bag and picked up the pokeball. As soon as she touched it, the ball shook and out popped an Axew. It shook it's head before looking up and excitedly jumping around. Seemed it was excited to have a trainer.

Tsubin wasn't sure why he was even being scolded in the first place. Like he had told her before they set out, he just wanted to travel, so he never had particular destinations in mind. But also... "I wanna see what the ******** Alden was talking about," he said, pulling the note from the box his cousin had delivered from his pocket and looking at it again. A light sighing noise came from Hikari as she hovered next to him. "You should probably watch your language," she huffed, staring straight at him as they walked. Yuu turned his head, curiously looking between Hikari and Tsubin as he pawed his way up to the boy's shoulder, his ears turned forward and alert, yet he didn't pipe in a word.
"No, I'm too damn busy being curious about this. 'The big science nerds like these' is what he wrote, and he also bundled those candy bars in them." The youth took a moment to recall what kind of candy had been packaged in the box. "Wonder what's so special about RageCandyBars. I haven't even found them in the stores before."

Aelin wasn't quite sure what to think at that point. She hadn't entered any kind of contest, but she also wasn't going to turn down the Axew. She pulled out her new pokedex and confirmed type and information about the pokemon. Dragon, that was perfect! She happily pat the Axew on it's head and stood. A faint sound of someone milling past her caught the Torchic's attention and it looked up. It watched the other trainer and their Lampent and Riolu walk by looking at things in his hand. Being very curious creature itself, the Torchic jumped off Aelin's shoulder and followed the trainer to see what he was holding. Just curious of course.
