Now their own lusus was free, Alexin looked around, a little confused as what they were supposed to be doing! Seeing the other kids freeing lusii, Alexin went for it, using his knife to cut free a medium-size lusus, which immediately went charging for the creepy plant dude.


Alexin freed a lusus and dealt six damage.

heart Everyone else seemed distracted. There was really only one thing to do. Now that he was free, Alifax darted forward and went for it, aiming the vial for Aendal with the same arm he used to toss his meteors.

Since when had there been fire in the caves? Dictys looked around, wide-eyed, but no one seemed to be surprised at all. Well, perhaps they'd all been actually watching what was going on...

What was more important was Dictys' lusus. Who was still in the arms of a plant drone. It looked like they were panicking, too, and Dictys would've run over but for the flora everywhere - and for the sudden release of sharp, sharp seed pods made Dictys wince. Was Mommydaddy all right?

Keeper was biting down too fiercely, too determinedly, to notice in time the swelling pods. If her leg hadn't been hurt, she might have had the time anyway, her speed had always pulled her through, but as it was she had no chance. As she pushed away and tried to get some little distance, she was caught in the crossfire of exploding seeds and let out a cry of pain.

Across the room, Etsali froze, turning to look back. "Keeper, are you okay!?" Before she could run forward to see, the raccoon was pushing back up to stand, and the thief paused again, unsure. Keeper called out, the order to stay put clear, and then she limped back into battle.

MeduMa struggled against the vines entangling her as drones pushed in closer. Though her own tentacles lashed out, fangs at the ready, she wasn't doing enough damage to either free herself or drop her attackers. When the seedpods burst, there was nowhere for her to go, no way to avoid the full brunt of the attack. There was a terrible hissing wail as she felt the seeds cut into her, and bright purple splashed and pooled all around her.

Lorata screamed, too hyped up on frustration and now worry to not, and watched as her lusus kept trying to escape despite her wounds. "Stop it! Stop hurting her!"

Aendal is mobbed by furious freed lusii, ones with children to protect and ones who's charges are now his puppets, who deal a total of 20 extra damage to him.

The jadeblood steps deftly off of his higher ground, keeping his feet rooted to allow him quick travel in the cave. With incredible concentration, Aendal uses his powers to wheel around the largest pillar of plants and various troll bits, using it to thrash and sweep across the battlefield. The range covers nearly the entire area of the circular field - even the tip of the stalk catches flame from the deadly border of the fighting. The huge battering wham smashes trolls, drones and lusii indiscriminately, and more than once barrels toward you.

If you rolled a 1, you're flattened by the pillar as it rolls soundly over you. You feel horns, thorns, oils, vines and all of the bells and whistles of the construct painfully roll over you as you're crushed by the massive thing. Take 3 damage and deal 2 less damage than you would normally this turn.
If you rolled a 2, running away from the pillar fails you and you end up in a tight spot near the flaming walls of the battle and the whirling death-plant. You end up in an immolation trap. Take 2 damage and deal 1 less damage than you normally would this turn.
If you rolled a 3, you get whacked around by the plant's boughs multiple times as you attempt to make your way to Aendal. Take 2 damage.
If you rolled a 4, the whippings of the plant are painful, but you keep your eye on the prize and push in to the middle of the circle where you confront Aendal with full force! Take 1 damage.
If you rolled a 5, you manage to do a deadly game of leap-cord over the plants as they swing towards you, then a badass youth roll! You attack Aendal and deal two extra damage this turn.
If you rolled a 6, you think amazingly quickly. Timing out the rotations and swings of the plant, you leap onto it at the opportune moment and ride the deadly plant all the way down to land a smashing blow to Aendal. Take 2 damage and deal 6 extra damage this turn.

Half hour options:
Fight! Teens can choose to attack Aendal once every half hour, as normal.
Free! Kids can attempt to free the lusii from Aendal’s influence. Roll 2d4 as normal at the beginning of the round (first die representing the dodge roll, second representing damage). You can roll 1d4 at each half-hour interval. This roll deals no damage. When you roll two of the same number in a row you free a lusus, which attacks Aendal upon being liberated and deals the sum of those two numbers as damage. Note that the first number (representing dodge) in the 2d4 rolled in the beginning of the round does not count towards freeing a lusus. When this occurs, please post in bold the damage that you have dealt, and that you have freed a lusus.
Example: Kid A rolls 2d4 at the beginning of the round and gets a 2 and a 3. At the next half-hour opportunity, they roll 1d4 and get a 3. Since they got two 3’s in a row, they deal a total of 6 damage to Aendal and free a lusus from his grasp.

There it was! Another attack from the jadeblood! This was getting predictable! Watching the pillar head his way, Reemus thought about the adventure archaeology flicks he'd seen (or really the important ACTION bits) and booked it with Woofmum in tow. Unfortunately, the space between the two and the pillar closed quickly, and they were getting right up to the flaming edges of the arena. Whoops. Reemus ducked as the flames soared up, and heard Gillian yelp as she was scathed by burns in her fur and on her hairy feet.

That said, it didn't keep her from taking a lunge and snap when the pillar passed by.
