She could have choked up when he pinpointed her hive, but she was too focused for that. Too angry. She wasn't able to focus. Enemy base, enemy base... No more of these maps. VULPIN is on the ASSAULTHP: 27 Con: X Rec: X Etsali teased him and he looked away from her, folding his arms defensively. Her promise made him uncomfortable. She would watch him? For how long? Over the battle was fine, but would she try to follow him home? Dear gog he hoped not. He didn't want any of these trolls knowing where he lived, especially not ones that tied him up and threatened him with a girl's night.
He guided Sly to track Etsali down after they had gotten separated mid-battle. He should clear up his question face to face, right? "Uh, hey Etsali," he said. "When you said you'd be keeping watch on me, you just meant for the battle, right?"Dealt 12 ((2+1)*2*2) damage.

She'd been a little disappointed when they'd gotten split up, but now here he was, so she could keep making good on that 'watch your back' promise like nothing had ever happened. He seemed pretty concerned about something, so she leaned forward to listen and then promptly blinked at him. Then she started laughing, so amused by the question whether he'd meant it as a joke or not that she scarcely even noticed Keeper swiping down an oncoming attacker. Once she'd caught her breath, she flashed one of her best grins, all mischief and fun.
"Well I guess that depends! Have you come up with anything yet?"Keeper deals (2+1)x2= 6 damage!

VULPIN is on the ASSAULTHP: 27 Con: X Rec: X "No, uh, not yet," Vulpin replied. He heard a troll approach from behind. Too slow to draw his daggers, he sicced Sly on the troll. Sly took a large bite at his leg and knocked him to the ground. Sly growled menacingly until the troll rushed off. Vulpin fixed his hair and turned his attention to Etsali. "Tell you what, I'll get back to you on that after the battle." He was sure he could muster something realistic enough to tell her on the train ride back. Dealt 20 ((4+1)*2*2) damage.

Lophie was having a hard time excavating herself to get near her troll. 87/625 The chaotic battlefield was a tangle of grey hooded cloaks, young loyalist trolls and the white monstrous bodies of lusi ensnarled together in a struggle for Old Hemisect City. The forest was thick with war cries and the leaves were splattered with both lusus and troll blood spanning the entire hemospectrum, except the Queen's magenta. In the frenzied blurr of combat it would be easy to overlook the few smears of bright pink-red blood that somehow fell below the lowest of redbloods, yet also seemed to fit above the Queen's royal pink. The droplets were scarce and it was impossible to tell who was the source of the mutated blood; but to those observant enough the evidence was as clear as moonlight. The fighting lasted for what seemed like nights, the thicket jammed full of the tiny bodies of children fighting an all out war against the cloaked Phoenix Initiative. The rebel camp was trampled and motionless bodies from both parties lay crumpled among the shrubbery, slowly piling up as the battle dredged on. Eventually it became painfully clear to the loyalists that their enemies were beginning to greatly outnumber them and seize the upper hand, and the Initiative knew it too. There was a loud CRASH from the centre of the rebel's camp, where a lone figure stood on a raised platform beside a vibrating suspended pot lid nearly as tall as she was. Silencing the makeshift gong with the palm of her hand, the rebel leader waited for the forest to stop echoing before addressing what was left of the crowd. “Do you know any shame?” Came Byako's booming voice, her furious hiss cutting through the remaining battle cries. “Do any of you carry pride for your own kind? Are any of you even capable of hosting ideas in your thinkpan outside of what the Queen has shoved down your chute since hatching?” Her piercing gaze darted from one young loyalist to the next, lip curled in a sharp snarl. They seemed to be roughly around the same age group as her own recruits... the military was desperate too. “Peons of Marian, incapable of realizing your own worth as an individual,” she spat in the direction of a group of young lowbloods. “Or in others.” She gestured down the cliff side towards the crumbling Old Hemisect City skyline that ran along the cliffside, eyes wild. “This is home to many of your people, and not only were you willing to let Marian destroy it, but you're willing to lay your life down on the line for her right to build lavish hives and luxuries you or they will likely never be able to sample. Why do you fight? What is your reason?” And the most important question, albeit rhetorical like all the ones before it. “What does Marian do for you- why do you follow her?”Before the enraged rebel could continue scolding the remnants of the imperialist army, another hooded figure dropped from the treetops and slunk over to her, whispering something. Akko seemed to tense for a moment, eyes narrowing on the newsbearer as she took a moment to process what she had heard. “It seems like I have no need to lecture you pathetically misguided wrigglers,” the rebel lifted a palm into the air, motioning for her troops to flee the smouldering ruins of their camp. Their victory was to be extremely short lived... “As once again Marian has proven my point rather efficiently.” One of the faceless rebels bounded up next to Byakko atop their llamabear lusus, and she promptly slid onto the back of their mount. “I suggest you fools evacuate the area immediately. Your Queen has decided to abandon you and deal with this issue the only way the coward knows how: utter destruction. A bomb strike in Old Hemisect... run. Run fast.” With her parting warning the lusus and its riders tore off, with a few loyalists managing to catch the last few syllables of the rebel leader hissing 'good luck'.
