The Wooded Sanctuary is quiet. Preparation for a final war path is at hand, and training has ceased. Wounded trolls stay behind to recover, while displaced Old Hemisect Residents can be seen wandering aimlessly through the encampment, without hives to return to. It’s a grim look, but it could have been worse. The losses sustained by the rebels was reduced significantly by guerilla destruction. Avoiding an all-out confrontation between the royalists served to minimize damage to the numbers of the rebels, and the tone of the camp is curiously ambivalent. The royalists kept their ground, but the forces of the Phoenix Initiative pushed in dramatically. They were powerful – a force to be reckoned with. The royalists had to regroup, and now was the time to strike at a weak spot. Morale had been low since the royalists began recovering from the initial attacks, and rebel veterans took note. Taking trolls aside, a sense of budding trust and appreciation could be seen. Simple thanks for your efforts were met with rewards of looted royalist pins. The pins look worse for wear, but are a surefire symbol of the rebellion’s force and defiance. They are a token of appreciation and recognition of your hard work.
