There was some relief but not much as she moved on down the corridor feeling her way along. Her mind echoed with the voices, her mothers, her friends, and worst of all...the very worst was her own. She of all creeple knew her own weaknesses perfectly.
She just wanted to be out of here, away from the unknown, away from the dark, back home...but where was home? The Err Mansion? Amity? Rosc's arms? She paused a moment to take a deep breath and then moved on.

Groping along blindly in the darkness Sin found herself desperate for the portal home, but also desperate for answers. How would she ever have answers when she didn't even know the right questions? She moved along the wall but she had no idea of how close or how far she was from freedom or some fresh hell.

Qarah peered suspiciously at the traces of sand underfoot, cool and dry, little drifts. Had those been there before? It was certain that they had. Was it retracing its steps? Going in circles? Was it being led on a wild chase, some mockery designed to make it look foolish to an unseen audience?
Only the fact that if it was being watched it would look utterly childish kept it from seating itself on the floor and folding its arms and legs crossly.

[ Area 15 -> end] [EXIT]
Quite suddenly, a door loomed up in front of Qarah, and just as suddenly, the mocking, threatening voices fell still. It hissed in irritation. Had they been leading it? Would it find them on the other side of the door? When it opened the door, nothing, silence, stillness. Frustration. Had the voices been false? How unpleasant. It snapped its teeth twice and asked the silence, "Are you teaching me or teasing me? Show yourself!"
No answer, only the cool smell of stone and dust, and it thought about screeching again but refrained.

Sin stayed on the move and tried to keep her thoughts focused on something less dismal than stumbling around the in darkness. If she had know how close the exit to this maddening place was she might have had hope. Instead she nearly sank down against the wall as her mind teased her with the echo of voices.
She remembered her father picking her up and brushing her elbow once when she'd fallen as a little scareling. He'd pointed out the spikes that trailed up her arms and told her they would grow as she did. When she was older he'd taught her to defend herself, to always pick herself back up no matter how hard she was knocked down. Her mother had wanted her to disguise her spikes with long gloves or jewels capping them, but her father had showed her how to use them, how to keep from being grabbed, how to shoulder someone with her full weight.
She felt her spikes scrape against the wall now, here and now...she wouldn't let herself be knocked down. She pushed away the thought of giving up and forced herself to keep moving.

Her persistence paid off in the end, Sin felt the edge and bolted for sweet freedom from the maze. She didn't want to linger in the darkness any longer and she prayed that the voices in her mind would quiet. Sweet Jack, was it so much to ask to be able to rest easy knowing you wouldn't wake in some strange place? Perhaps this corridor had left a bit more of a lasting impression on her than she would have liked.

Okay good, he was out of the floating rooms! With a sigh of relief Jason opened the door, and found himself looking into a darkened area.
Well...there would have to be a light source up ahead, right? Gulping he walked into the darkness, the door then shutting behind him and cutting off his only source of light.
"I don't like this.." He muttered, hands shaking as he continued to walk forwards with his hands out to prevent him from bumping into something. Eventually he felt them touch something cold and hard, some sort of stone. When he moved away however he ended up walking into more stone walls.
...He was in a maze, wasn't he?
But he just got out of one

This place was quickly turning out to be worse then the previous room. At least he could see in there! Summoning his sword he felt along the side of the wall, letting it guide him forwards. Perhaps after he found the exit to this maze he would be able to reach Medea and then some conclusion. Or he would reach his doom.
By now his entire body was shaking in the darkness, afraid that something would jump and finish him off before he even reached the horsemen.

Damn, did he take a wrong turn? Jason felt the wall surround him, meaning he had walked into a dead end. That was okay though, all he had to do was to keep following the wall he was on, and that should lead him out.
Except, for some strange reason he felt himself going back the way he came. But he couldn't have gone backwards, he was following the wall, right?
...Right?
...He was going backwards wasn't he?

[Space 1]
From dreams he found his way to a dark maze, he paused just for a moment to try and gain his bearings, flicking his tongue out to taste the air to try and make up for what his eyes could not find in the darkness, but there was nothing save for hints of people whom had gone before him deeper into the maze. He could try and follow them, but there was no guarantee that they had found the right path…he’d have to find his own way through.
Even as he stood there, he…heard something. A voice, it sounded like… He shivered and pulled his wings in closer, he hadn’t tasted her on the air, or even the perfume she liked to wear made from tree resin and some of the thick petal jungle flowers. But he heard her voice… his –sister- with all her strong and pointed opinions.
//You pathetic little worm… running away again, running further and further and trying to pretend that you’re actually worth the family time. Pathetic… you’re good for ONE thing and you ran away from that because you are a –coward, because you have NO honor. How could you place these so called ‘friends’ of yours above FAMILY? They don’t know you like –we- do, you don’t OWE them like you owe US. You’ll never get away you little MAGGOT”
He hurried forward, perhaps it was unwise but he needed desperately to move away from her voice, it made his heart beat faster and his limbs tremble to such a degree that he almost considered seeing if he could squeeze through the hallways in his natural form, logic at least won out, if he found a tight corner it would be far too hard to turn around again, and he just couldn’t risk that. Never mind the unlikely idea that he could fit his full wings into potentially rather tight confines.
((Will move forward to slot 5, then back two steps to spot 3… no other event @ three))

[ Space 3 ] - Pachua
There was silence at least for a moment, he couldn’t hear her anymore from where he now stood, but he also had little idea of where to go from here. It was all guess work in the dark. He stood for a long moment and listened, straining to hear the sound of a breath, a shift of feet, or even the chill of a ghost in the dark but there was nothing, just the sound of his own heart beat, a steady if more rapid than normal staccato in the dark.
He stretched his wings very carefully out to see how far he could move them till they brushed the walls, slowly because if he moved too fast he might bend or break one of the long quills. Worse, the last thing he needed was to discover some kind of trap that was triggered by touch. How embarrassing might it be to die in a dark maze and become little more than an obstacle for someone else to –trip- over.
((And right back to three again))

"...Whats that?"
Jason could hear something now, but he couldn't make out who or what it was. The garbled noise was confusing but more then that it sounded threatening.
"Who are you?!" He called out into the darkness, holding zanthvos in front of him to put up a defense. "S-show yourself!" Nothing appeared, and the voice seemed to grow more threatening by the second. Abandoning any sort of defense, Jason made a run for it.

"We did," she replied with a smile. Having Jake with her somehow made the darkness easier to handle. She fully intended to not let go of him this time. Which was why a bolt of terror shot through her when she stepped to fast and stumbled, and found wall under one hand and air in the other. "Jake? Jake?" She was afraid to call out too loud. Sherry didn't like the dark. Aww, left you again, didn't he? Of course he did. He didn't appreciate you. And now you're all alone again. All alone in the dark. Sherry tried to ignore the voice, even as a chill went down her spine. It sounded like death. The voices, for it changed, of dead friends. "Jake?" She tried to ignore the voice, even as Armagnac rumbled in her head. Another step in the dark, and the wall stopped, turning. Sherry fumbled along, following it, terrified that if she didn't, she'd be lost forever. She might already be. She'd even forgotten to try the headset in her panic. "Jake?" She almost thought she'd heard him calling for her. "None of them appreciate you. You offer up everything, and they leave you to rot." The voice sounded amused. Sherry clung to wall. xx[A.V.] quoting you just because.

Space 20 (EXIT!)Nkosazana chuckled when he remarked that she had beaten him there. "I'm not entirely sure how I did. This place has more confusing twists than most mazes I've seen."
Like Mmur, she too knew that they weren't at the top of the tower. It honestly seemed like they weren't even close, and if they wanted to catch up to Medea and Charon, they had some work to do. While she didn't want to risk getting split again from the one person she was walking with, Nkosazana knew that they had found each other again in this confusing place. The other places couldn't be that bad, right?
... Right?
"Let's go."
No time like then to find out, she supposed...

This dead end felt more like she was just standing in the corner, after a bit of groping around. Sighing, she leaned against the wall for a time, pressing her forehead up against cool stone.
She needed to get out of here.
With her left hand on the wall she continued on, blindly looking for the exit.
