[Farvardin Wyman | Table 4 | Talking to party planner and cleaning up]

Surprise colored Farvardin's face as the thugs began to flee as the Garrison members appeared. Hearing what their leader said about putting in a good word for any who tried to join made her think. She planned to one day join; after all she wanted to become part of the Scouting Legion. Maybe when she finally joined the military she would talk to this lady about her promise.

Farvardin watched as Alec went over to the party planner and comforted her some. His sort of question had her nod back to him. She walked over to the party planner herself. "Well even with all that happened this feast was excellent. Some of the best food I ever had. Thank you so much for helping to put it together." She said to her before turning to go help Alec.

She walked over to Alec was and began to help clean up. She picked up plates that weren't broken and set them down on a nearby table. She noticed he was talking to two guys as they helped cleaned up. "Friends of yours Alec?" She asked.

Dabbing at her tears daintily, the watery, glazed eyes flickered up to the next young person who approached her. The compliment was enough to make a bit of relaxation wash over her features, and the faintest twitch showing, "I'm very glad. Our chefs worked so very hard to make each and every meal." hopefully there would still be some left for the next waves of guests... "Thank you for helping." she concluded, with a small touch to the young girls arm, in gesture of appreciation, as she watched the girl go off to join Alec.

[Alec Scott | Table 4 | Being humble]

"Nah..I didn't do anything too special." he rubbed at his arm unknowingly smudging gravy on his sleeve. "I think she's glad all of us are helping out so there's that." He smiled encouragingly over at the event coordinator and then at his little group of friends. "Plus, this gets her back on her way and us off to some place else without much fuss." He shrugged some, not minding that the other boy was quiet he was good company.

"Say are any of the rest of you from around here? Or did you travel to wall Maria?" He asked curious-like of anyone who would answer.

"Oh! Yeah totally!" Alec nodded when Cyril awed at Axel's accomplishments. "I was there just as he caught is second..it was crazy." he confessed, a look of wonder on his face as he stared at Axel grinning. "Farvardin we'll have to go check out some of the other stalls after this, and you'll see what those fishy buggers are like." He flicked a pea into the bin scoffing as it missed and rolled away harmlessly. Lifting his head up he smiled warmly at her.

[[Preacher || Table 1 || bye haterz]]

Preacher frowned and shoved a fallen lock of hair behind one ear. Uniforms had shown up and that never boded well for people like her who never lived entirely... legal lives. This time she whistled twice - not an all clear, but a warning of a different kind. Better safe than in jail. The only good thing to say about the uniforms was that they had rather effectively rounded up the gang. Preacher knew she should hightail it back into the crowd as well, but the garrison commander started speaking. Her words were vaguely interesting.

Join the military.

It had never seemed an option for her, or rather, Preacher had never thought about it. There had only been two immutable truths in her life: that she had been born in the slums, and that she would die there. Even though the military had an approximately equal death rate, dying in a new place was... appealing. She shook her head. Fancy thought were for fancy types, not Preacher. Fancy types like Axel. He had been so concerned with morality and goodness; he had obviously never known what it was like to wake up and know that there was nothing more life would offer you. Life was a cesspit; s**t ran downhill and the Eastern Alleyway slum was at the bottom. She tried not to think about it too much. Preacher would bet that Axel would end up in military police, ugh. Just thinking about him made her blood boil. She rubbed her temples. The festival must be making her mind funny. She needed to go.

The crowd called to her with the promise of faceless anonymity - the status quo for a slum brat. No one remembered one dirty face out of hundreds. Preacher took a deep breath and touched her cheek. She didn't need another scar to match the one already marring the left side of her face. Her feet began to move of their own accord, but, unable to resist, she twisted her body. It didn't surprise her in the least to spy Axel among the helpers. Or to not see Shun among them. THUD. Unfortunately, twisting her body had meant her eyes were not looking in the direction Preacher was moving. And Preacher had slammed into one of the garrison. Flipping around. she executed a sloppy salute (accompanied by the appropriate cheeky grin), and vanished out of the feasting area. Time to move on to a different area and there were booths she hadn't visited and people she hadn't fleeced.

[Cyril Lor | Table 3 | Cleaning and introducing himself]

He looked at Axel with wider eyes. "Wow that sure is an accomplishment. I found it impossible to keep that crappy paper net in one piece aha." he said to him. "I'm from Shiganshina, and you guys? he said to everyone. "Mind if I join you two?" The bored Cyril insisted to Alec and Fervardin.

[Alec Scott | Table 4 | Wrapping things up]

"I'm also from Shiganshina. I live down the road above the store Suppy Goods along with my family." So not everyone he'd met thus far was from some remote village far away, or in the center Sina wall or some other outlandish location.

"Sure man you can come with us. We'll just be wandering around the festival grounds and looking for booths..oh I think some of us will have to stop off and change when this is done. Then we'll go find something to do together. I'm down!" He spoke up, agreeing to the bored Cyril's request to join both himself and Farvardin. Glancing at the older girl, he gave her a questioning look hoping she didn't mind.

"I''d like to meet up with you guys afterwards and hang out for sure if you don't mind letting me run home real quick?" He'd make it brief anyway.

"Andrea did you still want to go?" He glanced at the girl still at table 4, making sure to offer to her as well. He didn't spy the darker boy Jarrell or he'd have asked him too. With everything being done so quickly they could soon all leave; free to do as they pleased. Alec was more than ready to take his leave so he could clean up and go spend time with his new group of friends.

[ Cecilia Allegri | Table 2 | Leaving! ]

The girl's insistent tugged paused as Danny addressed them from off to the side, asking if she and Bas wanted to leave with them. On one hand, it would be very nice to get all this spaghetti out of her hair and her clothes, but on the other hand, there was still a job to be done! Surely they couldn't just leave without helping clean up this mess, could they?

...Apparently they could, and Cecilia could feel her previously solid decision waver when Bas spoke. Heroines...had the best hygiene? Was he telling her that so long as she was filthy, she couldn't be a heroine?

...

"...Okay," She agreed finally, reaching up to pick some food out of her hair, "I mean...it does look like the soldiers have got this covered already, so they probably don't need our help anyways."

Without releasing Bas, Cecilia linked the free arm to Danny's. "Okay Sir Bas, Sir Danny, and Danny's friend!" Sorry Rikki, "Let's get out of here!"

[[Axel Halle | Table 1 | Getting ready to go]

Axel smiled at Alec's friends when the joined in to help. He knew he'd seen the girl at least smacking some thugs around earlier. Impressive. He turned a bit red when Cyril congratulated him on winning the goldfish. It was a silly game, and although he was thrilled to have won the book vouchers he still felt a little undignified chasing fish around with a paper scoop.. He turned back to the table, trying to hide his slight embarrassment.

"I'm from here. Shiganshina," Axel said, straightening up yet another table. The legs were kind of wobbly, but he'd done what he could. He was no carpenter. He hadn't had the chance to chat much with the rest of the partygoers, but he had overheard snippets of conversation here and there. It was surprising so many people had come so far for the festival. It filled him with a vague feeling of civic pride.

"I've got to go help my sister, but maybe I'll see the rest of you later?" Axel said. "I think there's a parade soon?" It said so in the flyer, at least. If there was going to be a parade he wasn't going to miss it.

He looked around at the other tables, satisfied that most of the damage was either dealt with or being handled. It wouldn't feel right just wandering off and leaving the poor event planner with a terrible mess on her hands, but it looked like things were under control. It would be fine to leave. He scanned the faces of the guests remaining and wasn't surprised to see that Preacher was gone. He hadn't expected Preacher to stick around, but it still irritated him. Preacher and the other thieving guests were prepared to rob the banquet blind even before the thugs showed up. At least they could have stayed to help clean up the mess as payment for the food they took. It was most annoying.

Oh, well. With any luck he wouldn't have to see any of them again.

[Cyril Lor | Table 3 | Leaving ]

He was pleased to here the others were from the same place as he was.

Cyril looked back Axel "Parade? I didn't really scan the flyers." Cyril shrugged. "Maybe i'll come by just to check it out."

Turning to Alec, "Yeah i've gotta run home myself" Cyril said pointing at his clothes covered with spaghetti sauce. "I'll see you guys later" he said to group as he turned around not bothering to scan the environment and started walking away from Town Square.

[Alec Scott | Table 4 | Leaving~]

The younger boy looked between the other two, then to Farvardin all with wide excited eyes. "Oh yea! That's coming up here soon." He breathed excitedly, grinning now like a fool. "We'll come check it out later I'm sure." Alec wondered what sort of parade it would be, but decided he was still excited for it.

"Yeah, I'll meet up with you guys after no worries." He promised to Cyril, also bidding Axel fair well. "Good luck down at your booth!" Yet another from his district, a fleeting sense of pride swelled in his chest.

"Alright Cyril, Farvardin, we'll meet up down by town square in a bit maybe? Then we'll head off for booths." He paused, looking thoughtful. "In the mean time take care guys. See you soon!" Bidding his friends farewell (at least for now) Alec walked away from the maelstrom they had managed to all tame together.

He was pleased with the outcome minus of course the waste and heartache. Friends had been made, and people were helped. Alec couldn't have asked for much more.

[ Deacon Prevost | Table 1 | Helping Clean-Up ]

Deacon could have been physically sick from the mess he was witnessing. It was so disheartening that it was only a small comfort when the garrison did come to aid. He was glad that they did, of course, but... In the back of his mind, he was angry that they hadn't been there from the start.

He guessed that it was on good faith that everyone would want to celebrate in an acceptable manner, instead of inflicting misery. So much for that.

Deacon really didn't have much to say to the Officer, and only drew a stern expression and nodded to her words. "Thank you." He wasn't sure exactly what he was thanking her for... Stopping the chaos? Or the offer to put in a good word to the military... No. If he wasted his time on something like that, who was going to help his parents with their work? He couldn't think of leaving them to do it alone, or to have to hire someone that would perhaps expect too much in exchange for their labor. Besides, even if he'd attempted to help... He hadn't actually subdued anyone.

When the garrison left to return to her job, Deacon looked around at the remains of what had been enough food for the entire town. With a mixture of anger and sadness, he wondered just how many were going to go without food now, given the events that had just occurred.

He looked from afar to the poor planner woman who had not long ago been so driven to purpose and perfection. So firm and collected she'd been, but now broken and weeping. Surely she wouldn't be the only one to react in such a way to the careless waste. At least a few of the others had gone to comfort her now that the Officer had gone. He was certain that nothing he could say or do would do anything more, so he did not approach her.

Feeling as if it were the only right thing to do, Deacon followed the example of the garrison and a few of the fellows around him in way of cleaning up and salvaging what could still be eaten. At least the gang hadn't ruined all of the food, but they had still trashed far too much...

Deacon didn't speak to the poor lady, but quoted just in case you want her to notice him more or less keeping an eye on her while he cleans or something. XD

[Farvardin Wyman | Table 4 | Finishing up and Leaving]

Farvardin looked from Alec and back to the planner. "I think she's doing better." She said while helping to clean up some more. She nodded to Axel and Cyril. "Nice to meet you both." She said with a grin. She shrugged at what Cyril said about her comforting the planner. It was nothing big.

Hearing Alec's question she figured she should answer again since the new guys didn't know her answer. "Well as Alec knows I'm from the mountains near Chlorba. Ah but on Wall Maria's side. Don't think I've mentioned that." She said, "Seems like I'm the outsider in this group. But then again I suppose most people here would be from here."

She nodded at what Alec said about hitting the booths after this. "Sounds good. I don't mind waiting. Gives me time to see if I can find someone who is selling good wood so I can work on a new bow. Kinda busted mine up in the brawl." She said with a sigh. It was a pain to make a new bow especially since she had destroyed her best bow. None of her other bows had turned out as good. "I don't mind if you join us Cyril. The more the merrier."

Hearing about the parade made her perk up. "Oh? A parade? Sounds fun. Definitely need to see that. Maybe I'll see you guys there." She said, "Bye Axel! And yeah I'll try and meet you there Alec, Cyril. Bye!" She gave them all a wave and left.

And with that, the conclusion of the first round of guests was finally subsided. The place was able to be cleaned up relatively well, and more fresh, delicious food provided for the future guests. Those leaving would be able to probably feel proud of themselves, especially when seen the uptight party planner actually smiling a little bit as she started guiding the different platters to specific places on the stretched out tables. And all would leave similar to how the arrived; a warm, enticing ensemble of perfumes from the ever tasty meals wafting in the air.

Quote:
This is the conclusion of the banquet! I'd like to thank everyone who participated, and hope everyone enjoyed themselves! I look forward to making more of these in the future for you all.

And now onto the winners of this little portion of the grand event. It was truly a difficult decision, and I continuously kept looking through posts, battling with myself. Mist graciously allowed me to chose two, to try and ease the debating at least a little bit. Without further ado:
