Haneul Kim




"We can try, but I don't know if Bal will really ever let him go," dared to utter the Korean, wondering how he was ever going to get this braid undone. "I mean, his ex-girlfriend could definitely try, but it'll be hard. I mean, we'll just have to trust Bal to threaten Eun-Ho's career." He pursed his lips in thought, tilting his head. "Otherwise, we'll need to come up with another plan. Any ideas just in case?"

Haneul was quiet, mulling over ideas in his head and singling out only one. "There's always Eun-Ho's previous relationship with Sang-Min. I mean, they've slept together, if that's anything, and it was mostly out of boredom. But still, it's usable." He unbraided the tiny braid, wondering how he was going to do his hair. The dancer stretched out one arm for the bed, grabbing a brush and holding it up. "Do you mind brushing my hair for me? The tangles really hurt and I can't get up."

The pop star didn't notice Heinrich's tiny blush, although he did nearly start purring at the brushing. His hair was decently long, considering he could easily put into a ponytail, but was well taken care of. The just-barely wavy dark locks were thick and gently scented by his shampoo, and Haneul had learned to take pride in it. However, he was usually tossed aside thanks to Sang-Min's thick blonde curls and Ellery's carefully arranged brown hair.
Closing his eyes, a small smile appeared on the Korean's lips as he was tended to, enjoying this far more than he should have been. "You know, I wasn't meant to be a pop star," he found himself confessing to the butler. "I always wanted to sing, but not that stupid pop crap they write for us and have us release. I wanted to follow my grandmother's footsteps and become an opera singer." He opened one eye to peer up at Heinrich. "Did you always want to be a butler?" He chose not to say anything about the blush.

He nodded slightly, not wanted to disrupt the brushing process. "Yup, an opera singer. My rendition of Nessun Dorma from Turandot could move you to tears." He was bragging, he knew he was, and his playful smile sent the message that he was just being jokingly boastful, but Haneul wasn't entirely lying. He really was classically trained in singing opera, and had he not been recruited for BLAckJAck, he would have gone straight into the opera world without a second glance.
Catching sight of a pale butler, the Korean's other eye opened to gaze curiously at the upside down man. "Are you sure? I'd like to know more about you." His playful grin fell into an encouraging smile. "I promise, I'll keep it a secret. And I'll even sing a little for you, if you want." Haneul offered, moving one hand over his heart.

Haneul was confused by the story, unsure what exactly this King Earle did for the butler that made him feel so obligated to return the favor. Although unsatisfied by the tale, he smiled graciously in return and shook his head. "It's fine, I get it." He closed his eyes and allowed himself to go back to how he was before, just laying there and enjoying Heinrich's company. "I want to know more about you, though. Your favorite music, your favorite color, if you play any instruments, if you enjoy Shakespeare or not. It's not often that I get the privilege of speaking to someone who is actually intelligent." Haneul's teasing grin came back with a vengeful mischievousness. "I'm sure you've guess it by now, but Eun-Ho isn't exactly educated company."

Haneul listened wholeheartedly, wanting to remember every single part of this conversation. His heart fluttered at the playful smile he was gifted, taking a mental picture and carefully tucking away the cherished moment. "Have you now?" was his response to the operas, blinking and tilting his head a little. He definitely needed to sing for Heinrich as soon as he could, tonight if possible. Anything to better his opinion of the proud Korean. He couldn't be that hateful man in Heinrich's eyes for much longer, although the smile certainly gave him hope.
His ears perked at the sound of the familiar play, lips parting to release a delighted laugh. "No kidding! I performed that back in high school." Haneul cleared his throat pointedly, blinking twice as he attempted to remember a certain speech. "I know a bank where the wild thyme blows, where oxlips and the nodding violet grows, quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine, with sweet musk-roses and with eglantine: There sleeps Titania sometime of the night, lull'd in these flowers with dances and delight; And there the snake throws her enamell'd skin, weed wide enough to wrap a fairy in: And with the juice of this I'll streak her eyes, and make her full of hateful fantasies." He paused, reaching a hand forward, eyes sparkling. His tone had been a bit rusty, but still good. After all, as a Korean idol, he needed to act plenty, so he wasn't entirely unused to it. Shakespeare, however, was very different from the scripts he usually had to learn.
With a laugh, he lowered his hand and edged his eyes back to Heinrich's. "Do you know, I've forgotten the rest!"

Wide eyes stared at the man who recited such poetry with remarkable ease, Haneul's heart close to bursting as he listened. He could see the light behind him glowing and lighting up the male, creating an angelic figure that he couldn't help but feel strongly for. Beautiful, intelligent, loyal, and kind, Heinrich was the type of perfect companion that Haneul had been praying for all of his life! How could one person be so... captivating?
Yanked back down to Earth by their sleeping arrangements, Haneul shook his head. "Not in here. Ellery keeps most of them in his closet, which is where Balthazar and Eun-Ho currently are." He didn't want to move from this position, in all honesty, but at least he was telling the truth.
