Uzushi was approaching the pack after a run in with a whole flock of buzzies when the adults began to gather. He was a wanderer and was more often travelling around than actually in the pack, but today however something had drawn him back.
Kalpana said it was urgent.
She had woken him up from a rather interesting dream too but nevermind, the damage had been done now and he had been given no choice but to return.
"Pa!" He called out, picking up his pace at the sense of tension that spilled from everyone, "Pa guess what! I dreamed of a really weird place, it was full of strange fur-less creatures that spoke in a funny language." His nose wrinkled, "I thought it was a dream anyway though it felt a bit real - uhh...hey? What's wrong?" His small tail ceased to wag as he moved to press himself up against his father to peer around at his only sister.
Something is amiss.
Finally the chatterbox fell silent.

The mother of the six pups had had little sleep lately, the pack had heard of change and there was a new smell about the winds. Something was different, missing somehow. Hearing voices, she padded out of her den lightly, frowning as she faced Dhati, who was just as curious as she was.
"Yes. What has happened?" Her mind had grown more protective during motherhood, and she silently counted her pups. Where was Twawa? She spotted her and smiled with relief, it appeared that they were all there. Mafuriko was sleeping, Uzushi was within sight and Mtanizi was stood right next to her.
The playful pup sided by his mother, large blue eyes curious, glimmering as he tried to keep a hold of his curiousity. "Mama, what's going on?" He cocked his head, grinning half in hope, half in an attempt to break the tense atmosphere.

Jamaa stepped away from Temari, giving her much needed space. He sat himself, easily, next to Dhati. It was strange, all of it. Jamaa has brought great pains to those around him. Dafina, even though a rival to him, is scarred from their dog fight. Temari is hurt with her heart and her shoulder is now hurt from his actions. Sort of makes him want to not exist.
"Dhati, Jamaa doesn't deserve to be here. Here with Temari or the pack." he lowered himself lower than Dhati. "Jamaa wasn't here to watch over and take up the duty as Guardian. Jamaa wasn't here to stop Kizaki from leaving." Maybe he should just leave the pack to spare it of his recent fortune.

Dhati listened to what the other male said and shook his head, "No maybe you dont deserve to be a guardian all the time but I believe that you do. We all together have a responsibility to each other so its not just your fault. I will ask Cushti to watch over the rest of the pups, maybe Mataka can stay to as there are alot of pups, the rest of us will go and find Kizaki." He looked stern and this was one decision he wasn't going to let anyone disagree with. This was upto him!
He then lowered his head to his son, he had heard what he had said but had to listen to Jamaa first. "Yes son, the dream may have been more real then you would have thought. Can you do me a favour and go and find your brothers and sister and any other pups, can you get them all to the main den, there will be a big feast for you and then Cushti and Mataka will look after you all and tell you stories and play games ok?" He smiled hoping his son wouldn't mind this responsibility.

"Dhati....Temari has asked me not to chase after Kizaki, nor the two-leggers who have taken her. Must I go?" he asked. He didn't want to go against the leader's orders nor did he want to go against his loved one. The tall dog didn't even want to think about what she may do if he disappeared or any of her two sons.
If only Jamaa and Temari kept a tighter leash on her. If only we were always near by. Why didn't Kizaki call for them? They were always in hearing range. There was a watering hole near the pack lands, so why did she always wonder from the pack to the other ones? What it because of Jamaa's wandering habits? If only Jamaa was there to protect her from the humans from taking his daugh--....step-daughter.
"Dhati, you are my leader, what do you think I should do?"

Dhati looked at the two of them. "I would be grateful if you both could come, she is your daughter and more numbers the better. If not you both will have to watch the pups and Mataka and Cushti shall have come." He then turned to look at the others gathered and sighed, the duties of Alpha were hard sometimes.

The piebald female sat up, ears moving back a bit. Taken...? A pup was TAKEN? By strange two-legged creatures... She thought that over, then blinked. "Humans." She'd heard of them. Passing by herds of their tamed wildebeast had earned her plenty of stories. She stood up, acid-green eyes seeming to blaze. "Such filthy beasts! They take grazing land from the beasts of the lands and fatten their tamed wildebeast. They kill lions, leopards, cheetahs, even wild dogs, just so their beasts aren't hunted by any of us and for our very PELTS. I've seen them do the same to the mighty elephants, killing them just for the tusks on their faces." A tremble ran over the female, ears back as she growled to herself. She would protect those pups with her very LIFE.
He didn't understand. Why was momma upset? What was a hoo-mon? And why did they take Kizaki? Veshengo crept back, wanting the safety of the dens suddenly. His ears layed back as the small pup crept through the brush, nose twitching as he found his way.

A little confused of what to do. Jamaa was currently lost in choices that were extremely hard to make. He couldn't do his usually thinking, he could not leave the pack lands now. He needed a place to be alone and quiet.
The copper brown dog raised to his feet and slowly walked to the den, disappearing into the den's darkness. He needed to make a choice, one that would affect everything.

Slowly Temari took a deep breath and forced herself to a standing position once again. She needed to help them if they wanted to try. If they wanted to try and die the female would help them to stay alive.
"Humans took her." She said in a shaky voice. Shaky from pain, shaky from anguish, shaky from life itself.
But she needed to do this.
"I'll go. I know about where it happened, but it's most likely too late. They have dogs stronger than us, the only thing we can rely on is speed and our jaws, but speed doesn't help against their arrows. So I don't know exactly what we should do if we even do find them." In a way she wasn't helping the way she should, but she felt useless. Utterly useless. This was all her fault and she couldn't even find a way to work it out before another pup was stolen?
Sighing, she walked over and sat down in front of Dhati and Mataka slowly. Her jem green eyes glittered for a long moment before she finally bowed her head. ninja

Dhati licked his lips as he listened. "There will be a way. There always is." He turned to the others "Watch the cubs, if any wander you have my permission to hurt them if need be to keep them here." He then wandered back to the den, he had things to think about and sort out someway of keeping his pack safe.

Jamaa laid quietly inside the den thinking about what to do. Scenarioes of possible outcomes and consequences played through his canine mind. Each one would affect more than the last one, the serverity varying on each.
The tall dog's ears swiveled and his head turned back at entrance, Dhati was coming in. It was now or never, he had to make a choice and that choice's consequences will be on his shoulder.
"Dhati...I want to go. I want go to get Kizaki back....back for Temari."
