Interface watched as Apocalypse seemed almost invincible to the attacks of the resistance. It seemed that no matter what they dished out Apocalypse would just shrug it off. They needed a strategy. The tyrant had to have a weakness. They knew that Cyclops' beams would defeat him, but getting through the outer armor was the trick.

The fight was certainly not in their favor and the longer the battle went on, the more heroes that would fall and Apocalypse's final victory. Interface was distracted by the the chaos and trying to think of a way to fight that he failed to see Apocalypse approach. Apocalypse bellowed as he spoke of his eventual victory. "You delay the inevitable. It is only a matter of time before enough of you will fall that I will destroy the last of you in one blow." he said as he enlarged his hand and slapped it down on a group of heroes who were not fast enough to get out of its way.

Interface barely dodged and jumped on the hand. Running up the long arm, he began blasting at Apocalypse's head with a spare blaster gun. The shots did little more than to annoy Apocalypse who showed it by trying to shake him off. "Away you pesky insect!" he shouted as he flicked his arm while throwing Interface over his shoulder. Luckily he was up the arm far enough to not get thrown too far. In fact he tossed him just far enough for Interface to grab a hold onto his back collar.

It was at this moment, now fully energized by Surfer's power, did Interface discover Apocalypse technology.

Do you sense it SUE?

I do. This person is composed of a very advanced technology. Not one I am very familiar with, but some of his abilities I can integrate. Maintain contact while I run a scan.

No problem. I don't think he even knows we're here.

Apocaclypse, unaware of his human backpack, continued his attack on the oncoming group. A short while later, Sue was able to understand some of Apocalypse abilities, but at a smaller scale for now. It would take much longer to process all the information, but at least now they had something to work with. By this time Apocalypse could feel SUE's invasion as if something was trying to probe his mind or a painful itch on the back of his neck.

I have integrated some of this new technology and will initiate the systems now.

Reaching behind him Apocalypse picked Interface and held him before him. "What is this annoying.....WHAT!?" he said in surprise as he saw a newly armored Interface. The new armor looked somewhat similar to Ironman/warmachine with his old grey and black colors and a touch of Apocalypse armor features.

"Surprise big boy!" Interface shouted before charging his blaster and firing point blank into Apocalypse face. Apocalypse keeled backward and dropped Interface while covering his face. Though not damaged heavily, the adapted energy blast and surprise attack were enough to stagger him. Seeing this opportunity, Cyclops called for everyone to attack. Now was their chance. While Apocalypse was unbalanced they would strike.

Several of the heavy hitter struck at Apocalypse knees forcing him down. The others began pelting him with everything they had to keeping him distracted. "Now! Fire a concentrated blast at a single point." Cyclops called to the heroes.

Every individual capable of firing an energy blast opened fire at a single point at Apocalypse chest. Apocalypse, unable to move due to the stronger heroes holding him down, took the full brunt of the force. Interface began hacking into the building's electrical energy and began siphoning it into himself. Lights began to flicker as the energy was being drained forcing it to go into backup enveloping the room in a red light except that from the energy blast.

Alfred, we have drained all the available energy from the building. I would suggest you put it to good use.

Gladly. And I know just how to do it.

Placing his hands before him his body began to morph. First his legs began to widen and root itself into the chamber floor. Then placing his arms in front of him the material began to change shape until it became a larger energy cannon. There were lights on the side indicating that the energy was being charged. A sphere of light appeared and grew at the end of the barrel while a whirling noise was produced from the air being excited by the energy producing popping noises. Suddenly the cannon released the beam charge directed at at the designated target. The ground beneath him cracked from the recoil, but Interface held fast. Shards of Apocalypse armor began crack and peel off from the sheer power of the combined power of all the heroes.

"No. I will not accept this. I am an Immortal. I cannot be defeated by the likes of you!" he shouted as he struggled against the blasts.

"Keep it up everyone. All i need is a good clear shot!" Shouted cyclops as he too began to charge his optic beam. All he needed was an opening and it would end.

((ok guys. I will let Cyclops blast and end him on my next post. If you have any heroic things you want to show off now is the time. Heroes always do something cool before the villain is ultimately defeated right?))

With their combined effort the heroes unleashed powerful concentrated assault on the tyrant with everything they had. Despite his strength and power, Apocalypse could feel his defenses waning. "No, I cannot be defeated. I am immortal. I am...Argh!" he shouted as pieces of his armor began to crack and chip. The heroes held his legs fast preventing him from escaping. Eventually portions of his armor broke off exposing his body. The blast was painful but not enough to be lethal.

"Cyclops, NOW!" Interface shouted as he detected a sufficient enough of armor had broken off. Cyclops spotting his chance aimed true and unleashed his optic blast at full power.

Apocalypse cried in pain and staggered back into a wall where he was pinned from all the energy poured against him. Finally his knees gave way and slumped to the ground. When everyone saw this they ceased fire. Apocalypse sat on the ground in defeat. His tyranny finally over. Everyone held their breath. Was it over? Had they finally done the unthinkable? Was Apocalypse finally dead?

When he failed to move for a time, the entire facility of heroes erupted in cheer. Many hugs and pats on the back were exchanged as well as hand shakes of congratulations. Interface began shifting back to normal mode as he was also exhausted from the ordeal.

It's finally over Alfred.

Yes. It's finally over SUE.

Interface breathed a sigh of relief as he joined the others in celebration. He nodded to Cyclops who did so as well. He walked over to Bee-boy and grinned beneath his mask. "Looks like the a brighter future is in store." he said while extending his hand. He glanced over to the lifeless bodies of the fallen especially Daredevil and Silver Surfer. Everyone who had given their lives for the future of mankind. The ultimate sacrifice. Cap and Cyclops suggested that a memorial be built for them so that all will remember what was the cost for freedom. Interface nodded in agreement. There could be no better way.

Suddenly a spike of energy was sensed to his left which caused quite a stir in him. Looking to where the energy signature was being produce he saw that it was coming from Apocalypse who was now on his feet and leaning on the wall. He let out a chilling laugh. "You fools. You think you have won this day. No. You have just delayed the inevitable. I have lived for eons and this will be no different. But you....you will not live this day. I will be reborn. I cast off this broken shell of a body and I will live again. There is no stopping the Apocalypse." He then began to laugh. Softly at first and gradually grew louder until it was maniacal. Everyone was now on alert wondering what he would do.

Interface's sensors suddenly skyrocketed as Apocalypse began to build up his energy. "Everyone run! He's going to destroy the entire place!" he shouted. As everyone tried to escape, the last thing they could hear was Apocalypse laughter and a giant explosion. Suddenly all were enveloped by the blinding light that he unleashed.

Ms Marvel managed to save the bodies of Daredevil and the Surfer by pure luck.
Kamala was thrilled and all about saving the world under the ultimate dictator But compared to all that they lost, where do they go on now? Ms Marvel felt out of place and really had nowhere to go.

This is what she wanted, but this wasn't what she wanted.

"I guess this is where you guys magically clean up New York and tear down this monument of hell or where you revive everyone's who's died."
Ms Marvel looked out the direction of New Jersey, her hometown.

"And I guess this is where I take my leave and go home to see who's still alive and all... And do something with these bodies."

Ms Marvel started walking off in the designated direction, she kept walking until nobody could see her in the distance.


Devil Dinosaur licked everyone in a playful manner, expressing joy. After the moment died out and everyone was in deep thought about their next move or what's the new priority.

Swinging into New York and towards the Avengers Tower where the Avengers were having their meeting. Daredevil flew in through an open window and rolled on the floor to break his fall.

"Hey, guys. It's been some time now since y'know...." Everybody in the room froze and stared at Daredevil as he brushing himself off.

Iron Man, Captain America, Wolverine and Ant-Man were the ones in the room, they were discussing the matter with the growing vampire population.

"I..uh..need help finding the Street Avengers. Rumors been going around they've been turned into vampires. I'm not sure how, but I want to make sure. Although seeing your grasp on Vampires as it is you might not be able to help."

Daredevil pulled out a seat at their meeting table.

Ant-Man raised an eyebrow. "You know for someone with super hearing you have bad skills. We weren't talking about tracking them right now. It's beyond our control. We're trying to figure out how to reverse the action, although Tony suggests we can't and that they're dead or something".

(I tried, that counts for something...right?)

Daredevil was stumped. Whatever he saw earlier was probably a new outbreak that had to be ignored for later or something completely new. Daredevil had not noticed Hulk taking over. He's been laying low, real low for a while now.

"I guess I'll see what I can do. Hopefully Hulk sees me as a friend and not an enemy." Daredevil and Wolverine got up from the table and started talking to Wolverine about what's been going on.

"You owe me for this, Cap. Hulk's not one to be easily talked to." Ant-Man joked as he got up out his seat to join the 2 others. He wasn't as confident as he tried to sound because he wasn't sure how Hulk saw him after the incident being shunned by the Avengers even after many years.

After the events of the Apocalypse tyranny and life began to rebuild, Alfred began traveling the country to help rebuild the lives of those who were affected along with a group of heroes. One of many groups who volunteered to rebuild people's lives. Many people had gone into hiding and had been in the underground for so long that living in constant fear was the norm and living in peace was only a dream. However this dream was soon becoming a reality. Despite the initial false starts and turbulence, things were well underway.

Interface had been assigned to the Midwest and southern regions of the country. There he worked along side the people to help rebuild the electrical grid systems that had been severely damaged during the dark times. Bringing back communications to the majority was going to take time, but it was a new beginning. One that many were willing to bear despite the hard life. It was better than what they had been through. There was still some hesitance among those who feared the heroes as well as mutants, but there were also communities that coexisted with their mutant brothers and sisters and used their combined efforts to accelerate their community's growth.

Because of his duty and isolation from the others, he had little time to be updated on the events that had taken place in New York and in the country unless it directly affect the region. For the most part, the people were just getting back on their feet and had little to no knowledge of what had transpired other than what affected them directly.

Alfred had grown from his experiences and interaction with the people. He had learned of the many hardships that they had endured and it opened his eyes. Now a bit older and perhaps a bit wiser, he works to help wherever he can. Still one to crack jokes, he knows that a bit of laughter is what keeps people together and hope keeps them going.

Down in the old city of Houston, Interface is working with engineers to bring power to the inner city. It had been months trying to get most of the groundwork done and making sure the generators and power lines were functional. Thanks to a vast storage of old blue prints of the city, it made finding these hidden areas faster. With his help he was able to lead and spearhead much of the initial search and repair missions. Now he had been informed that the areas were ready to receive power from the grid for the first time in a long time. No longer confined to small local generators the city would come alive once more.

"The systems are ready sir." said the lead engineer. "The generators are online and ready for relay."

"Good. Let's hope that all our hard work pays off." Interface replies as he boots the final computer systems. He takes a deep breath before pushing the initiation command. Those in the room held their breath as they watched the screen. They had been waiting for this moment. Once the sequence was complete, Interface examined the screen to supervise the computer sequences himself with the aid of SUE.

It seems everything is in proper order Alfred.

Thanks SUE. For the sake of these people I hope it works.

The screen displayed the city's grid and blinked red several times. Then one by one the red lights turned green. The system was back on line and the city now had power. Interface breathed a sigh of relief as he heard the room erupt in cheer and joy. "You did it sir. Houston now has power."

"We did it." Interface corrected him. "Thanks to all of you and those who could not be here. Everyone who contributed played a part in this deserves this honor."

The engineer nodded in agreement, but he reminded Interface that without his help, the city would not have been operational for a long time. Interface conceded and joined the others in celebration. After everyone had returned home to their loved ones, Interface decided to take a break form the rukus.

It seems everyone is excited now that they have power.

Yeah, it's a big deal for them. Can you imagine how it must feel to return to what is considered normal to most of us? It must be like a different world.

SUE was silent for a while and Alfred was slightly concerned by this. Usually she would answer regardless of whether it was a logical observation or sarcastic remark. However the silence was unlike her.

Hey SUE you're awfully quiet. Something wrong?

I'm am just going through my memory banks of my home world.

Yeah you told me about that. That it was on the edge of the universe and that you are all they could send to keep their culture alive right?

It is, and although I have no feelings of emotion, I am concerned by what has become of them. It will not be long before everything physical of my home world will cease to exist save for me and what I have left in my memory.

Man, that's rough. When you copied your banks into my mind, I saw a lot. I can't recall it all, but there were flashes of what was there. It was really beautiful.

It is indeed beautiful and one that will join the many who had gone before.

You know what, why don't we ask some of the smart guys back in New York. Mr. Fantastic, Tony, and the others. I'm sure they might know something.

Although I am hesitant since it's destruction is inevitable, I suppose gaining more knowledge wouldn't hurt.

Ok I'll let the guys know we'll be heading out. It should be fine now that the systems are back online. They should be able to handle the upkeep.

After informing his group of his departure, they bid him farewell. Although they were sad that he would be leaving, he reassured them that he trusted in their abilities to keep things running. The other heroes also volunteered to stay and supervise in his absence. After thanking them he took flight into the night sky. Before leaving he took one final look at the city. What was once a dark landscape dotted with few lights was now glittering brightly. He smiled knowing that what he had done changed the lives of so many. He wasn't sure they would remember him, but he was sure that they would remember this day.

Well, let's go see the old gang.

Much will have changed in our absence.

Yeah, wonder if Bee-boy got any new grey hairs or something under that mask of his.

With that Interface diverted his energy into his thrusters. Gaining speed, he rocketed through the night air. He then adjusted his coordinates. "New York here we come."

((an now to get the gang back together. We can either meet at Stark tower or at the Fantastic 4's base, or even Avenger mansion. Any suggestions? I'm thinking the mansion.))

Daredevil was able to find Iron Fist, Luke Cage and Spider-Man running around in the streets stopping small crimes. Daredevil gave them an invite and asked to meet him at the front of the Avengers Mansion if they choose to come along.

Only Luke Cage and Spider-Man showed up while Wolverine, Ant-Man and Daredevil were waiting for them.

"Alright team, huddle around. We're going to speak to Hulk nice and calm. Respect his demands and meet his expectations. If things get violent and it comes to fighting make it sloppy and quick. We are to flee, not to stay. Got that?"

"I read you, bub." Wolverine answered

"Gotcha" Luke Cake answered as well

"Can I bring breath mints? His breath might smell." Spider-Man joked.

Daredevil and the team traveled to Hulk's fortress in the heart of city.

Everything was fine and dandy here, he had a team. He had his life back and he was doing what he did best and that was saving the world. But something was on his mind, something he couldn't shake. What happened to the Silver Surfer? Where is Ms Marvel? Did Devil Dinosaur leave back to his homeworld?
And on top of everything else, where was his girlfriend? He hadn't seen her since her untimely demise that happened right before him.
These questions were bugging him every step of the way but he had to put those aside as bigger things were at hand and nobody want's to hear about a superhero who's wondering off and not doing his job.

It didn't take long for Interface to reach New York. A typical plane ride from Houston would have taken him a few hours. However thanks to a bit of an upgrade from his last battle, he is able to travel a little more swiftly along with other upgrades to his armor thanks to his interaction with Silver Surfer and Apocalypse. He is still unsure of the long term effects of this and wonders what other things he has yet to discover.

After arriving in New York, he checked the local time and found it to be mid to late evening. Unsure of where his old companions were now, he decided to stop by the Avenger's mansion. Surely Tony would have some sort of tabs on the others since he of all people would have those sorts of connections. Calling from the air, the phone was answered by Tony who was now working on his latest armor in the basement. "This is Tony."

"Hey Tony, it's Alfred. How's it going?"

"Hey Al. How's work in the boonies? Got your work cut out there. Did you get the care packages I sent through the others?"

"Yeah, thanks to those we got several cities up and running their grids. Even Houston's back online."

"That's great. So what can I do for you? Or did you just miss me?"

"Actually, I was wondering if you or Dr. Richards would be able to help me on a little dilemma."

"Oh yeah? What sort?" His voice sound curious.

"Well, it's sort of a long story to say over the phone. Would it be fine to talk to you in person?"

"Yeah, sure. Come on by. I'll let you through security." he said.

"That's great. I'll see you shortly." he replied before hanging up.

Do you think he can help us Alfred?

If he can't he'll know someone who can. That guy has more connections than a spiderweb.

Arriving at the mansion, Tony greeted Alfred after his long absence. Exchanging greetings and what had been transpiring over the months since the fall of Apocalyspe, Alfred began to tell his story regarding SUE and her home world.

"That is something." Tony stated with a nod. This was not something he had heard of for quite some time. He had his share of cosmic beings, demigods and mutants, but to hear of a planet at the edge of the universe. Now that was new.

Being the naive one, Alfred as a rather blunt and perhaps silliest thing Tony had ever heard. "So would it be possible to save it?"

Tony stared at him blankly wondering if he heard right. "You're kidding right? Do you know what kind of miracle would be needed to stop something from falling into Entropy? It's like you are taking the laws of the universe and throwing them out the window."

"We fought an immortal who killed a cosmic being who was herald to a world eater. I'm sure that's bending the laws quite a bit." he responded. It was true. With the kind of beings that existed in the universe why couldn't such power exist.

"You have a point. But that sort of power needs to be able to push back Entropy. In other words it has to be able to offset destruction with creation. However there is more destruction in this universe than ever. Even the phoenix force as powerful as it is is usually one of the forces that will inevitably destroy it.

"What about a power that can offset the Phoenix force from consuming it. Like giving the Phoenix something in exchange for the home world." Alfred suggested.

"Hmm, you make a good argument. Come on. Let's look up the data banks on what we know as of today." he said leading Alfred to a second room that was filled with computers and electronics. Once there he began to scan on anything regarding anomalies and creation. Alfred offered his assistance to speed up the search. After some time, they found a minor article that was little more than a testimony written by man in ancient china.

"Hey Tony, look at this." he said as he brought the letter to the big screen. There was a small translation on the bottom indicating that this person had spoken with Feron, the man who contacted the Phoenix force, thousands of years ago. There was a slight mention that the Phoenix force often pulled much of its power from a spark of creation, which he named the Dragon Force.

The naming was due to the belief of mutual harmony between the two with the Dragon symbolizing yin and the Phoenix as Yang. Yin was a symbol for male energies of wealth, creation and abundance while Yang was female energies of strength resilience and transformation. The well known yin and yang symbol showed the mutual and marital harmony.

"So there may be a power out there by what was called the Dragon Force. Do you think we would be able to use such a power to save....what was the name of the planet again?" Tony asked.

Alfred was caught by surprise. Did he even mention the planet they were trying to theoretically save? "The planet? It is called......Deagala." he said finally after SUE finally translated the language to English.

"Ok.....so you're asking how to save a planet you just learned about, searching for a power we're not even sure exists and is related to a power that nearly wiped out the entire galaxy." Tony stated.

"Well when you put it that way, it sounds like a suicide mission." Alfred replied half joking.

"This is no laughing matter. Do you know what kinds of problems the Phoenix force caused when it went out of control? How many people were hurt and killed because one person went nuts? Sorry, I don't think it's such a good idea. Plus you're risking that earth might be caught in the middle of all this." he said crossing his arms.

Alfred there is no need for you to go to such lengths for a people who have to meet their end. That's the way the universe works. All things will end and will eventually create a new beginning. Those are the natural laws.

"Look Alfred. I know you want to help. You've done that for a lot of people in this country. There will be a lot of them who want to thank you. But this...this is something that is beyond you. Beyond us. Do you want to risk those people who you had just helped for a planet no one has even heard of?"

Alfred looked down in defeat. It was true. He was not obligated to do this. Even SUE didn't seem to think it was an idea that was worth pursuing. After all they had sent her from there to save their culture and knowledge. Even if he did help there was a risk that it didn't work and with SUE back on their home world, all they had done previously would be for nothing. "You're probably right." he said finally as he took a seat.

Alfred.....

Alfred let out a sigh. Perhaps he was too naive. Too optimistic. Perhaps it was too big a problem for him or anyone to solve.

"Hey Al, you look exhausted. Why don't you take a rest in one of the rooms upstairs. In the morning we'll have a more sober and happier conversation."

"Thanks Tony. Maybe I can contact some of our old comrades tomorrow. I'm sort of curious what they are up to since I've been out. It's pretty late now so I'm sure they're sleeping or something."

"Depends who you call. Me? I don't usually go to bet till 3 or 4am so just leave a message or something. Can't go wrong with that."

"Right." he said as he began sending a voice mail to Bee-boy, Daredevil and
others. He indicated that he had returned form his projects and wanted to know if they had time to catch up some time that week.

((Sorry for the long narration. Just trying to give a bit of base and back story. so now Interface is caught up with current event except perhaps Bee-boy's deal with Mephisto and other events that transpired privately. Anyway, time to get the gang back together.))
