Muris blinked, "You think I'm...but..." she bit her lip, staring down at her hands for a second. He thought she was beautiful? When he was around Rosa all the time? Nobody could mistake beauty after being around Rosa, who was gorgeous by anyone's estimate.
Maybe she'd misunderstood him somehow, "I'm sure that's not what you meant. I mean, what I heard. I mean. Er..."
There it was, an escape, "Yeah...well, different...like...I'm smarter than I was, I think. And I talk a bit better..."

"Everyone is beautiful in their own way, and everyone has their own opinion of what beauty is." Alces was slowly moving the cookie closer and closer to his mouth as he spoke, "And beauty isn't everything." By now, the cookie was close enough for him to bite, and he slowly bit off a tiny bit, only to shove the rest of it in his mouth at her second little statement, and mumbled, "Yeth I me' i'." and turned away a bit at the same time and covered his mouth to make it even less understandable.
When through eating the second half of the cookie he nodded, "Oh, oh yes, that you are. It's a good difference though. And actually quite normal, since it would be expected that you would have become much smarter once a bit more grown up."

She smiled, feeling a little bit better, though still rather self-conscious, "What's that you said? I couldn't hear you, your mouth was all full..." her hair fell loose of the ponytail from her playing with it, and she set about putting it back in place so it wouldn't fall in her eyes, "But, I don't think I'm -beautiful-. I'm just...a stablemouse." she nodded, "And that's why I don't think Lady Rosa will like me anymore...'cause she likes people to be all...graceful."
And despite having this new body for a while, it was still...clumsy. She was still the same clumsy kid she had been, really...just a bit taller (though still short, damn) and a little..smarter..

"Uh...Nothing." Alces answered a bit quickly as he wiped a cookie crumb from his mouth with his hand. "You never know, and I'm sure you can still work in the stables and be graceful at the same time. Just as you can be a stablehand and be beautiful at the same time."
Alces went to put an arm around her to comfort her after he had reattached the bag of cookies to his belt, "I still think there is nothing to worry about. "A friend would like you for who you are, and not how beautiful or graceful you are."

Muris snuggled back against him, turning so that she could bury her face in the furry collar about his neck, giggling a bit as it tickled her, "You're the best, Alcie." she grinned, "You're probably right. Lady Rosa is a good friend. I'm sure she'll still like me. Just like you do."
She threw her arms around his neck again, hugging him tightly, "I love you!" She grinned.

His brow furrowed a bit, wondering what she was giggling at, not realizing it was his fur since he was so used to it. He began to smile back at her and nod, "Yes, Countess Rosa is." He agreed with a nod.
He had been in the process of returning the hug when those three words hit him...Alces' jaw dropped slightly and he hadn't even managed to let out a full "I," to repeat the phrase before he began choking on a 'cookie crumb,' or so he claimed. After all, he was still only a kid at heart, and was acting like it. His other hand went up to his mouth as he covered it to keep from coughing on Muris.

Muris' eyes grew wide, "Oh! Are you okay, Alcie? Did you swallow the cookie wrong?" She patted his back gently, hoping to help him fix the problem, whatever it was and completely unawares that it was her words that were making him choke and -not- the ever-present cookies he'd been munching, "Are you gonna be okay?"

When at last the man had caught his breath again he nodded, "Uh, yes, just a cookie crumb. I'm fine now really." He assured her and let out one more cough just to clear his throat. "Yes, I'm fine now." he repeated as he blinked a few times then began smiling at her again. "Yes." he answered her yet again, and repeated that as well a few times while replacing his arm around her again now that he was done 'choking on the cookie.' "Didn't mean to startle you or anything." he apologized with a few nods.

Muris smiled, snuggling against him again, "That's good. Maybe you should be a bit slower eating those cookies-- I wouldn't want anything to happen to you," she nodded, swatting playfully at the furry collar on his chest and feeling quite at ease now that she'd got her worries off her mind, "Anyhow, I meant it. You are the best, and I do love you for it. For everything you've done for me. And all."

"Yes, that I shall." Alces nodded as he glanced down at the bag of cookies, "Wouldn't want to choke again." Alces moved his neck and shoulders a bit as she played with his fur, it tickled him a bit seeing as how he wasn't used to it. "I wouldn't say I have really done anything for you, but you're welcome." He replied and went to give her a slight squeeze/hug.

Muris nodded, "But you have! You've been my friend, and that's a lot!" she smiled, kissing him on the cheek, "Hey, d'you wanna play a game or somethin'? Tag's kinda out because it's not much fun with two people, but I'm sure we could think of something else..."

"True, but that only means you have done a lot for me then as well. Being my friend." He grinned at her before and after she had kissed him on the cheek. However it had become slightly wider after that. He blinked at the mention of playing a game. That wasn't something he had done much of, not even when he had been a teenager himself. Just 'peek-a-boo' when he was a baby...if that even counted. "Um, all right. However, I fear I must be returning to my chambers for a while to feed my dear pets and put away the cookies. We could always arrange to meet some time soon and play a game. That is, if you can think of one. I'm afraid I've never really played many games." He told her.

New RP Session.
Filix wandered outside in the gardens, barefooted and relaxed. Relaxed enough, anyway, given what was going on. But out here she could pretend it wasn't happening for an hour or two and think. It was in one of the fern filled gardens that were still overgrown with plantlife that she decided to relax, always feeling best around these ferny areas. It was cool, the air was always moist and richly scented with the smell of the earth and rarely anyone else came to the unkept gardens.
Once she was seated on the grass, Filix shut her eyes and tried to think.

>.>;; He wasn't sure how he was supposed to approach this matter. Despite his diligence in reading and thinking over the matter, she looked quite serene by herself, and we wasn't quite so sure he should disturb her. Hmmm... but then again, she could be tormented by not knowing his answer and intentions.
u_u;; Women were confusing... someone ought to write a book on how to approach and speak to one correctly.

Filix's mind wasn't exactly doing what she'd planned. Okay, she'd sat down in a calm place that she liked best, shut eyes, tried to quieten mind. But who could think with the Moon Court haunting, and the issue of ... well, relationships? She wasn't sure what to think, and the more her mind tried to become a 'blank sheet of paper', the more it started to twist in circles.
Finally, she opened her eyes, picked up a piece of grass and started to shred it. Filix didn't think about looking out for someone, so it was a bit of a surprise when she saw feet. And ankles. And legs... and an Aesculus perched on top of them with an odd expression.
"...hello, Aesculus." Filix said, although she didn't exactly say it loudly. She'd been waiting days, after all. She was more keen on listening than talking at this point. ...But there was something she had intended on doing, since her last diary entry. "I'm sorry for how foward I was ... then."
