Joy tries to resist the urge to use Davey's strong presence as her anchor in reality because she's neither needy nor codependent. Instead, she glances back to reassure herself he's still bringing up the rear like earlier. Her eyes widen because the faceless, lumbering, misshapen creatures have changed to teacups and biscuits and clothed rabbits.
Davey's arm is back, encased in his gauntlet, his Royal Gryphon coat flapping loudly as they run. Joy looks down, sees she's still in her pink dress and sensible pink pumps, and finally finally understands who's really awake.
"I never really liked you, ALICE," she hisses.

The strings are visible to her now, connecting to limbs and joints like the puppet receptable in Wonderland. Only this time, Joy knows it's really her being toyed with and made to see things that aren't really there. Did she ever truly leave Wonderland?
The Tulgey Woods come into focus, the trees urging her to go away or to look inside their mouths or shake them. She's wearing her Royal Gryphon clothes again, which meant depth perception was going to be a b***h. But she merely needs to think it to have her spiked yoyo in her grasp.
Though her arms seem to rebel at her decision, Joy fights against it and manages to cut her wrists free.

Joy's triumph is short-lived as Wonderland denizens stream past her, bouncing her amongst bodies that she has to remind herself aren't really there. She closes her eyes, orders herself to get a grip, regain her bearings or is she going to have to cut a b***h?
"Hey, Raze, something wrong?" Dreadpirate's voice asks in concern and she can't help but open her eyes. The pale-haired man has his head cocked to the side, arms folded across his chest as his bright green eyes study her in worry.
RazerHead blinks for a moment, "Ah, y-yeah, it's just these trees are being a major pain in the a**."
He smiles wryly at her, gestures she hurry along and keep up, "Shame there isn't a lumberjack job class, huh?"
The Tulgey Woods closes in all around her, the glowing eyes now a menacing red, pointed splinters for teeth gnashing in hunger.
"Cap'n!" she cries out as the trees cut her off.
"Let's go, Raze, we got a dungeon to get to," he sounds impatient and so very far away.

"What are you waiting for, Raze?"
"Raze."
"Joy," she breathes. "My name is Joy and Davey knows this by now. You're just ******** with me, ALICE." Her hands ball into fists, fingers tightly clenching around the yoyo's string.
Joy can handle physical stress without batting an eye. She has no issues with undergoing severe physical pain, either. Her muscles are used to the strain, accustomed to overexertion and over-taxation. Except for her heart. Which is what ALICE is ******** with and Joy will never take kindly to that.
Bright light, sharp heat, cutting waves of energy explodes from the yoyo, slicing through strings with a rubbery twang as Joy regains more and more control over herself.
"You should have ******** stayed in Wonderland, ALICE," Joy snarls.

The blonde AI appears at last, misshapen shadow stretching out before her, twisting and writhing on the ground. "But I am in Wonderland," she tells Joy. "And so are you, I do not understand what the problem-"
"Bullshit," Joy cuts off, yanking the Royal Gryphon outfit off, eyepatch, coat and all. She's in her sundress again, her scars visible on exposed skin, and she wears them like medals. "I woke up, I know I did! I got back to the real world and saw Davey again."
"Oh but you weren't supposed to. You're in trouble there. And you wouldn't like it there."
"How the ******** would you know that?"
"Raze?" a small, quiet voice pipes up.
"My name is JOY!" she snaps, whirling on the intruder and faltering when she sees it's the Doormouse, no, the Monster Snake that Davey was being so harsh to. "Tea?"
He smiles at her, "You're alright! I'm so glad! You were turning to stone and I was so worried!"
Something was blocking her right eye again, but Joy doesn't care. Tea is walking towards her, hugging her, murmuring comforting things, or was he apologizing? Her arms wind around him instinctively, a hand patting his back gently, even if he was taller than her she shushes and makes cooing sounds.
"What's to be sorry for, Tea?"
"Because..." His shape begins to change, growing longer as his arms and legs retract. "Because... I have to do this."
And Joy finds she can't breathe.

Tea's face shifts from dormouse to giant serpent, scales adorned with feathers and beads. Odd, Joy half expects there to be bones somewhere because she's sure hers are about to fracture from the pressure.
"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry, I don't want to do this but I must."
Black spots begin to dance in Joy's sight, the red pinpricks of petechial hemorraghing beginning to form on the surface of her eyes. It occurs to her, just then, to wonder how she knows this, how she can actually see herself being constricted to death by a giant feathered serpent.
Unless... the next thing she knows, Joy goes ragdoll limp and the pressure eases. She feigns unconsciousness, but her every sense feels heightened and is distinctly aware of the last traces of the strings.
Ampota ka talaga, ALICE, I am nowhere near Galleria, Joy snorts, and with eyes fully open, spins the spikes yoyo overhead. Blades cut swiftly through the strings and Wonderland melts away.

She blinked at the Alice figure in a daze. Maybe all of this talk about Wonderland had influenced her dreams . . . But the figures from before made her believe otherwise. One of them certainly was very recognizeable, chillingly so, but the other . . . Hrm. Ancients.
Stormy felt herself being rather numb to the whole situation. The strings ached, but she wasn't in a hurry to cut them, even as Thane growled at her to do so. The greatsword was summoned as an afterthought, sawing away at what was slowly choking her.
It didn't bother her too much. It was only a dream made reality. there were far worse things that could be done.
"I never got to meet you," she said softly. "I'm sorry."
