It was too early to function, especially after the hellish night of sleep (could he even call it sleep?) that he'd had. He'd pulled his coat on over his pajamas (a pair of ridiculously colored plaid pajama bottoms and a muscle tank), stuffing his feet into his shoes only to shuffle into the gym. He had perked up slightly at the mention of food, making a line for the table.

Coffee... There had to be coffee somewhere. Once he'd gotten himself a cup of something caffeinated and a muffin (he thought it was a muffin, at least) he made his way over to the bleachers and plopped down rather unceremoniously. He sat there like a lump for a bit, only vaguely paying attention to anything going on around him.

Otto kept a firm hold on Nevada's hand in turn, rubbing his thumb across her skin to reassure her. His heart felt like lead thinking about seeing her die so much in his dream. He was starting to wonder if he could even live without her love. He prayed she'd be saved somehow. Some blind and wishful hope.

The teen remained quiet, and pale. Himself and Nevada probably made quite the deathly looking pair.

Nevada tried not to shrink away from the older hunter's gaze, her own dropping immediately so he didn't find her in a lie. His offer was nice, and she appreciated it, but it wouldn't solve the problem in the long run.

"I'll try not too, Thank you for your concern Handsome." She gave him a awkward smile. "I'll be okay though. Otto takes good care of me too." She nodded, playing with the sun hunters fingers while waiting for the meeting to start.

Quietly, she murmured down to him. "Hopefully it's not a mission off Island. Otherwise I'll have to dip out of here to hide." She rested her chin on his shoulder. "I'm trying to elongate as long as I have."

Oh this was just priceless. He snickered at the Lifer's response, grinned at how surprised the woman seemed at the compliment, and then broke into laughter as the coat smacked said Lifer and startled Oliver in the process, a rare moment of genuine pleasure on display. How very human this all was, that even in an organization supposedly dedicated to serve humanity in the shadows, they were all succeptible to the mundane.

(( Wouldn't you know? )) Owain asked curiously, the turn of phrase making him perk.

I would, but that does not mean I always participate.

Settling down, he rested in an almost Thinker-esque pose and drank his coffee, taking responses one by one. "One tournament and she gets it in her head that she'll always be victorious!" Jack remarked with a slight eyeroll at Fini. "A fluke, nothing more. Do tell me when you want a rematch."

Noting Quinn's appearance, he simply eyed the guy for a while--it was mostly because he had forgotten who he was, aside from the gay parade fiasco at New Years. He made a note to look into him as he did with Oliver.

He then promptly took something off Milo's plate, sniffed it, and with a grim look began to pick away at it. Bland. Breakfast was such a pointless meal. "I will make a roster and contact you as needed," he told Milo and Chel quite seriously, though he was dryly amused anyone would seem enthusiastic to be near him for too long; nobody seemed to take him seriously when he tried to divide work and social life. (Un)Fortunately, Chel would probably get her wish, seeing as she had mentioned having even more information than just this incident . . . "Please do write down the important elements so that we don't waste time," he added as a helpful suggestion.

Deciding he didn't like what was given to eat, he tossed a half-eaten biscuit at Ian. Perhaps making kissing noises meant he was hungry.

Ripley's arrival was greeted with a slight raise of his mug. "Morning, sunshine. Shall I add you to the list of people I should speak with about this Wonderland escipade? As for Killian, well--" He made a vague gesture at the Mist who looked like he had shaved his head and then let something die on it.

"Attempting diplomatic relations with improbably optimism as usual."

"I remember." He piped up quickly, his eyes fluttering to roll back when she slid her fingers into his hair. "I rememebered, and that's why you got me all confused just now. 'Cause I thought." But that had been his mistake, according to her. He'd thought about it too hard. It was a simple fix, by his standards, and he lost his thoughts (as well as the rest of his sentence) to the tingles of pleasure and content brought on by her fingers running through his hair. He was useless for a good minute, before his arms were unexpectedly in motion; grabbing a hold of her and turning her to sit on his lap. His fingers grazed her chin, and he tugged it towards himself.

The fuzzy, floaty happiness of being alive had worn away. It was back to work for him.

"Do you remember? Everything? Because I seem to recall you saying something to me about making our home in every world, but you still look like you're lost in the last one." Was he admonishing her? He tried very hard to make it seem otherwise, but she'd soothed his worries in Wonderland; and it was time to make good on her words.

"Come back to me."

Riley blinked a couple times because speaking again. She couldn't quite put her finger on where she saw him. She knew she had. She would be getting this feeling if she didn't, would she? Riley shook her head.

"It's been very nice. For the most part. Except nobody told me that my weapon could speak." She gave an almost bitchy look, but then broke and snorted a laugh. It was true though, Deus had been really nice for her since she woke up.

"Chris.. I've seen you before. I know I have." She said, but the more she thought about what she said, the more creepy it sounded to her. Riley felt her cheeks turn an almost fire red. "Not trying to sound creepy. Just so you know."

Someone kill me.

Sherry smiled and decided not to move too much. "Okay." Really, Jake was rather adorable at times.

"Hopefully nothing too exciting happens." She was tired, too, okay. She almost wanted a nap, but that dream had ended on a rather unsettling note. "I'm glad everything worked out," she said, thinking out loud.

Hand holding. Furtive glances. Shy, warm movements.

Child.

Maebe's smile lowered for one second, as she flickered her gaze from Pey, to Noah, and back.

Child, no. Listen to me now.

And then the smile returned, much warmer now. Much brighter. Much bigger.

Do not ignore me when I speak to you. Turn from your path.

"I see," She purred out, nuzzling her head happily against Peyton's shoulder. "And other than the dream, is there anything else of interest I should know about?" She winked at Peyton playfully, as if she didn't already know the answer.

As if she wasn't already heading down that path full steam ahead.

Powerful without ripping space time, hmm . . . Her brow furrowed in thought some more. Were they really supposed to mess with things like that? She had enough trouble with more "mundane" things without getting involved with something the equivalent of a god.

"Ah, sorry, Cap'n," Stormy mumbled apologetically, feeling legitimate guilty she couldn't be of use. "I didn't this time. But if you want me to help put information together, I could put off library work . . .?" That was something, right?

She perked considerably as Nevada settled down by Otto but chose not to interrupt for a little. For one, she still had the granola bar piece to finish (and finish it she did), and for another, even in a public space they were entitled to a little couples' time. They both looked tired, though, albeit for differing reasons, and if they had all been in someone's room instead she would have initiated a group hug with them and Gale. Something comforting.

Otto's murmurs set off her alarms, though. "Something kinda bad" was never just "kinda" it was always just bad. Stormy felt a small burst of both dread and determination; the piling up of responsibilities on herself, to Nevada's recovery and to Gale's reinstatement as a specialist, made her feel good. Gave her purpose. Helping Otto would just be another thing she would help accomplish.

(It wasn't draining, just . . . time-consuming. That's all.)

"I could go run and grab us all a better meal after this," she suggested to the pair, as well as her boyfriend. "Bad things are better on full stomachs."

Peyton had sort of assumed that the rumor mill ran rampant on the island, specially with everyone being connected as they were with twitter. So when she and Noah had come back from New York together after staying the night there, she had just sort of assumed that by the end of that week it had become common knowledge that they were dating. Apparently, if the flick of blue eyes was any indication, this was not the case.

And she didn't know Maebe well enough to know to be worried by that brighter smile, or the soft playful nuzzling against her shoulder.

So she smiled as well, an almost goofy little grin that had tanned features lighting up. She gave Noah's hand another squeeze, because the feel of his fingers between her own still managed to send butterflies through her stomach. "I kinda thought everyone already knew," she admitted, offering it up as to why she had not already mentioned this in some way sooner. "I guess not. But, yeah. Noah and I got together at the beginning of last month."

The doctor entered the gymnasium followed by a small group of people that varied from dazed, to irritable, to excited. All of them, though, had that fresh out of the pod look. A few of them would even be familiar.

Cee followed in with the small group and, though already getting comfy with those around her, found her eyes drawn to the huge crowd of people gathered. The rumbling in her stomach was urging her towards the refreshment table but...

..weird..

...some of these people were in her dream.

From behind Nevada and Otto there was a small movement; Ian had moved past them to sit behind them, though he said nothing, merely touched Otto's shoulder in a silent greeting and then brushed a hand gently over Nevada's hair before sitting down and pulling out his phone to send a text.

[ ENTERING ]

Andrew Miller followed Dr. H into the large gymnasium; there were already so many people - Hunters, he corrected himself mentally - already there!

"Good to know he thinks so highly of us, sheesh." Ah, but look! A refreshment table~! His stomach rumbled and distracted him from sulking; with a jaunty little whistle, he went to fetch something to eat and drink before returning to mill around the podium as the "good Doctor" had already "instructed" them to do.

"Food's pretty good. Either that, or being in that pod for so long's scrambled my taste buds." Observations delivered with no particular person in mind, though he did keep looking at the girl clinging to that guy with the odd accent - man she worked fast! But she was cute so it was mostly jealousy that he tamped down - no need for that...he was awake for now, but they didn't know how long it would last...and once they were stuffed back in their pods, how long would they remain there?

Was it a sign? A bad omen that he'd been pod-bound and dreaming for so long? Would he ever be the one bitching about pod-watching duty? If he didn't...then everything he sacrificed was for nothing. He wouldn't believe it was a bad omen - it was a good thing he was awake, even if just for a little while! He'd make the best of his situation, munch some of food...and when (or if!) he ended back up in his pod...well, he'd cross that bridge when he got to it.

((entering))

Lydia stumbled in, following along with the rest of the herd of early risers that had escaped from what was apparently some malfunctioning pod-do-hickey's (or at least, that much she had sort of come to understand in their brief explanation and tour on their way to this new place)

The gym itself appeared to be quite a hub of activity...or okay so there were other people, though their blurred shapes were hard to make out and she was sure she probably didn't know any of them anyways...unless some of them were survivors like her! Oh but that would have been nice, to find somebody else who knew what she had gone through.

If only she could remember exactly what it was she had gone through, instead of just bits and pieces.

With awkward sliding steps she made her way over towards the refreshment table and eyed it's contents. reaching out, she grasped for an item between her fingers, inspecting it for all of half a second before popping it into her mouth.

"Mmmmmm, deriscioss" She smiled, glancing behind her towards the others.

"Might as well eat, right? Before we get shoved back into those pod beds for some more sleepy times. Hey, I might not be let out again for another year!" She began to giggle again, because it was apparently really funny.
