First, Knotted picked up a mushroom she thought was of an okay size. It didn't seem to be too large, but it wasn't exactly small either. Perhaps this would help? With a shrug, she plucked it up and ate it...
But now she appeared to be just too big for the path in front of her. Oh jackdammit! Her feet were just kicking over small signs and mushrooms all over the place. This was no good at all!
All of her haphazard knocking of things punted a tiny mushroom towards her. Noticing it, Knotted snatched it right out of the air.
... Maybe she should pocket this tiny mushroom. If she was going to have so much trouble keeping herself tempered, she might need it for later to help with balance. Now for a mushroom that might cure her being on an uneven keel?
She plucked a mushroom up awkwardly, attempting not to knock over some other things in the meantime. This would work, she thought. It seemed to be a bit smaller than the one she had just tried, the one which had made her too big. Perhaps this one would make her smaller again? Well, there was only one way to find out!
... Ah, that worked. Knotted grinned. Perfect! She just needed to try one more mushroom, perhaps it would get her other side into balance too--
Oh Jackdammit.
Now, one side felt right, but something was still so wrong about the other. It was nothing her tiny mushroom could help, she didn't think, so she would keep on looking for another mushroom in this patch. At least, being partially tempered made it a bit easier to navigate...Total 1: 10/10 (LOCKED!) That was when she saw it.
It was a mushroom nearly identical to the one she had just eaten! That would do it! Excitedly, Knotted plucked up the mushroom and popped it into her mouth--just to get it over with--and found herself most definitely at a size that made sense! Now she could get herself out of there.
And she didn't even have to use her baby mushroom!
Well, she'd just keep it for good luck, then. It was hard to say when a baby mushroom might be needed in a place where sizes were changing so often...Total 1: 10/10 (LOCKED!) Total 2: 10/10 (LOCKED!) Frostpaw wasn't so sure what to think of it as he arrived at the field. The squeaking he heard was odd, but it was explained as he drew closer and was given... and explanation of temper. He was a very cool headed person, he could do this.
"Then... I'll try it." He stated before starting forward and grabbing a few bits of mushroom. And with that he chewed down two pieces of mushroom. And then he took a chunk that was, once again, much too large. He threw it to the side and instead ate the bit he saved. Which made him JUST RIGHT!
Finally he was in perfect balance and was able to move along. And with that he was done!
He idly glanced around until he found the prize laid out for him. Some experience and cards. Excellent, just what he'd always wanted. No. Really. Wasn't they why he was doing these quests all the time? Well the cards often got lost, but experience was usually good.
