Ever grinned down at Zac, and then to Sawyer behind him -- flashing him a brief wave. It really was random.
"You just have shitty luck." He offered it cheerfully, even as he tangled an arm around Zac's shoulders. "I'd offer to rig it for you next time, but that wouldn't be fair for everyone else."

There was a small smile on Jade's lips when Ever revealed the results. It felt good to win but Jade wasn't going to make a scene of it. "This was an interesting experience. Thank you Ever and everyone particioning it." She made a little strech before standing up and heading to get some water. As she walked past the refreshment table, she checked out her chocolate cookie box and felt a little disappointed for it not being empty yet.
Oh well.
After she had finished her glass of water she started to prepare her leave, not doing anything that would suggest her taking the cookie box with her.

The drinking and the company made up for the crappy night Ariel had had, waiting for everyone to finish the game. It really sort of sucked being singled out early, even if she had wanted that from the beginning.
Eventually, drinking had given way to a bar hopping trip with those who would go with her, and by the time Ariel finally made it home, she was so drunk she could barely walk straight. Arm slung over some woman's shoulder she wouldn't remember in the morning, she'd let them both into her apartment and collapse into bed, hoping next time she came to one of these things she'd get a chance to do more than sit around.
