Lucas gave a shout of surprise when he was suddenly grabbed and pulled around to the front of the man. "I haven't looking for a way out per say as much as exploring. If I wanted to try and escape I would have done it already. I'm exploring to explore now." Lucas protested. "You looked so sad, and I caused that. I'm sorry." he apologized.

Alastor continued to stare at the boy for a few moments more, thinking he smelled a scheme but the boy did seem genuine. "Hm.....don't worry so much about it. It happened a long time ago." he said softly, putting the boy back on the floor before continuing to move on. "I wasn't joking though, change the subject."

Lucas breathed in relief when he was finally set down. "So change the subject then." he stated looking to Alastor expectantly.

Alastor, again, was caught off guard a little. "You want to take a look outside? I have an apple orchard that's still bearing fruit." he said softly, not particularly worried about the boy running off anymore. If they both kept this up maybe Alastor could let the boy go back to school sooner than planned.

Lucas looked to Alastor when he asked him if he wanted to go outside. "Really?" Lucas questioned disbelieving. "I would love to go outside." he smiled brightly suddenly very excited about going outside.

Alastor gave a little smile. "Find a coat and put some shoes on. Meet me at the door." he said softly, heading into the gym to grab his sweats again first before he walked back to his bedroom to find a shirt and change into jeans. Alastor got his shoes and socks on before heading back toward the door, opening a closet near the door that held his coats and outside clothing.

Lucas bolted up stairs as Alastor told him to find some shoes and a coat. He was back down stairs as soon as he could be all dressed. "Ready." he chirped excitedly.

Alastor couldn't help but chuckle a little at his eagerness. "Alright, lets go." he said softly, putting his coat on as he walked out of the house, taking Lucas' hand in his own. Alastor walked with the boy to the back of the house where several rows of apple trees grew. "You can pick an apple if you'd like. They're Christmas apples, and really sweet." He said as he let go of Lucas' hand.

Lucas was still smiling as Alastor grasped his hand to lead him outside. Even going through to the back of the house he grinned the whole way excited to be going outside. "Thank you." Lucas stated when Alastor stated that he could pick some. Picking an apple off the tree he bit into it. "This is wonderful."

Alastor smiled a little at the boy. "They're the sweetest apples on the market." he said softly, watching Lucas enjoy the apples. "I own about three and half acres of land. It's almost completely filled with apple trees. Except for a cherry and pear tree somewhere around here. Mainly for my benefit." he said softly, enjoying the cold air.

Lucas looked quite surprises hearing the man owned three acres of land just for the apple trees. "That's alot, who do you have tending it?" Lucas questioned.

"Mainly my house servants. They tend to the trees on the weekend. During the week I have hired farmhands who I've hired to help pick and prune the trees." he said softly, finding a bench to sit down and enjoy the view on. "Do you like it?" he asked curiously, though he already knew the answer.

Nodding when Alastor explained that he had those that worked for him tend the orchard. "I do its wonderful. I always wanted to live on a farm as a child. Loved the thought of the freedom it would bring. You dont have to go out and buy things, most of what you need is there and always fresh." Lucas stated looking around almost lost in his childhood day dream.

"Well...it's not really a farm. It's an orchard. But I've been thinking about buying a farm or have one built here." Alastor remained on the bench for now, seeing the boy happy for the first time since Lucas had been here. "You know....these Christmas apples make a hell of an apple pie. Do you like to bake at all?"

Lucas nodded when Alastor told him that it wasn't a farm but merely an orchard. None the less it still made him think of freedom. "Really? I do in fact like cooking. I just thought with all your kitchen help, that no one was really allowed in there." Lucas stated looking to the apples then back to Alastor.
