"I can take you back," Samuel offered, opening the door. "What apartment number do you have?" He wondered what had happened between Leo and his brother that made the blind kid go out into the rain. It had to be something serious, but Samuel decided not to think too much about it. "I hope things get better for you and your brother."

Asher had searched for Leo in the rain for a whole half hour now, but he couldn't find any sign of him. It was even starting to get dark, and it wouldn't be any good if he got sick, so he reluctantly went back to the apartment. Perhaps his brother would come back on his own accord, he would tell himself, though he feared someone might have taken Leo.

Soaking wet, yet not bothering to remove his coat, he made his way to the kitchen to make dinner in case Leo would come home soon. Upon discovering that his brother had already returned, Asher hurried up to him and pulled him into a tight embrace. "My god, Leo, I've been looking all over for you!" he said, almost scared that his brother would disappear if he let go of him. "Do you know how scared I was? I thought someone had taken you. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if that had been the case."

Asher was alerted by Leo's sneeze and realized he probably wasn't making anything better, considering he was soaked to the bone and freezing as well. "We should probably take a warm shower right now," he said, now beginning to shiver. "Maybe you should go first. You're probably more likely to catch a cold than I am." With that, he led his brother to the bathroom, stopping at the door, since he was sure Leo could navigate on his own at this point.

Asher had gone to the kitchen to make the soups and grilled cheese sandwiches, setting up the table once finished. It was around that time that he heard the water current stop, which meant Leo had finished showering. "I'm out here," he said when he heard his brother call his name. That should give him the cue to get dressed.

Asher was surprised and nearly dropped a bowl when he heard Leo apologize. He figured he would be the one to apologize and admit he was wrong, or they would just forget the whole conversation and the elder would never bring up the thought again, but it seemed Leo wanted to settle the matter. Besides that, Asher had thought his brother was completely justified in his anger. "I should be the one apologizing, Leo. I knew you would be upset, but I should have known just how much you would be affected," he said as he gave Leo some tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. "To be honest, I really hated, and I still despise, the idea of giving you up. I wanted to be selfish and keep you with me, but I realized something could happen to me at any moment. It would have left you alone, and that terrified me more than anything. I guess I should have explained myself better."

"Well, sorry for thinking ahead," Asher muttered, though he did have to admit he probably should stop thinking about some worst case scenario or something. "Anyway, are you feeling any better now? We can just put the whole thing behind us?" He suddenly sneezed, now being reminded that he was drenched to the bone. "Dang, the rain was really bad today."

"I suppose I should go. I'll bring a thermometer when I return," Asher said, getting up and heading upstairs to the bathroom. He figured it wouldn't the best thing to get sick now, especially since he would need to go back to work in two days. His boss was already annoyed with him taking an extra day off.

It was rather tempting to stay in the shower under the warm water, but Asher had a potentially sick brother to tend to. Quickly, he dried off and got dressed in clean clothes before exiting the bathroom, grabbing a thermometer, and returning to the kitchen. "Leo, open your mouth," he said, holding the thermometer in front of his face. He wasn't looking all that great, probably from the rain. His brother did look soaked when he saw him after his return.
