Damn, their wavelengths are incredible. Max said as he was amazed by the furious battle between them. He was taken as he witnessed Atticus's 'death' and rebirth, sensing the enormous increase in power in his new found transformation. I wonder how these will play out.

Never Again...
Herald turned to look back at Atticus in surprise when he heard him begin to speak again. He was sure he had killed Atticus cleanly. He hadn't meant for him to languish in pain. He was even more surprised when Atticus shouted out before erupting into a large funnel of dark energy. He raised his arm to block out the sudden light before lowering it to see what could only be described as a demon step out of the flames. "What...?" Herald asked in disbelief. Herald prepared himself when the creature shrieked at him, but could not have anticipated how fast it was. The creature's hand rammed deep into Herald's abdomen, causing him to cough up a gout of blood, his eyes widening in pain. Although it was almost a mirror of what Herald had done to Atticus earlier, (whether this was intentional or not was unknown) the creature had not hit any vital organs. Still, the damage was serious and Herald pulled back as quickly as possible, the creature's hand pulling free of his abdomen as he did so.
It didn't take a genius to realize this battle was not longer ending anytime soon. Herald couldn't stay here; he was going to succumb to sickness along with the others in the barrier if they lingered. Although it would take Herald a while longer to get too sick to fight, even the initial sickness would lower his stamina a little and right now Herald needed all of that he could get. He risked a glance over at the pillars floating high in the distance. That would do. It should be high above the toxic miasma that filled this place. He looked back at the creature that used to be Atticus for a moment before launching himself into the air. He turned and streaked towards the pillars in a blast of green fire, turning around periodically to spit several fireballs at the monster to make sure it was following and keeping its attention on him.
☽ Emma cringed as Herald ended up taking the hit that Atticus sent at him. Shira got back up on her feet and watched as Herald went to a different location. Who would blame him though? This place was pretty dangerous. Emma stared up at the pillars for a moment before closing her eyes and focusing on another portal. Ellise looked at Umbra "The kishin they awoke struck him where that mark now is meaning those two are somehow connected. That also means that he has to do with the form Atticus is currently in." she explained. Eventually, a portal appeared underneath the barrier everyone was in once again and they sunk in it. They emerged up in the sky on one of the pillars then and Emma stayed in her position on the ground, panting once again as a lot more of her energy was gone now. "Portals suck..." she said between breaths. The barrier thinned slightly due to Emma's declining energy before thickening once more. She slowly got back up to look at the fight then. ☾
The demonic creature would look at Herald as the massive beast pulled itself free from his hand, leaving it covered in Herald's blood. Lifting his hand up and staring at the blood, the creature seemed entranced by it, almost as if it was wondering what it is. Cocking his head awkwardly to the left, the creature opened its mouth, held out its tongue and licked the blood off of one of its fingers. The scene was both bizarre and disgusting, the creature that was formally known as Atticus, had seemingly reverted into a true demon. While he was captivated by the taste and overall feel of the blood, the creature glanced towards the barrier briefly, putting its head in the same awkward position. Anyone could tell by the look on his face that he had been picturing what would happen if he pierced them all like he did Herald. Would they produce the same red liquid as him, would it taste the same as well, or would it be sweeter? His killing intention was real, his eyes were cold and void. The creature turned towards them fully then and was about to make his move, before Herald launched himself into the air, releasing countless fireballs towards him. Seeing this, Herald had successfully drawn his attention and a few seconds later, the creature spread its wings and flew into the air, following Herald, while firing off blasts of black fire to counter Herald's.
Herald landed on one of the nearby floating pillars as he waited for the demon to catch up. His fur blew in the wind and his blood dripped onto the pillar. He maintained a grim expression, realizing this battle had suddenly swung against him. He didn't know what kind of power this demon had but it was clearly much stronger than Atticus had been. Still, he could win. Its intelligence seemed to be reduced to that of an animal. He could use that to his advantage. He clenched his fist as he waited for the Atticus demon to arrive. He had killed Atticus once, he could do it again.

UMBRA ___________________________________________________________ Umbra followed them where the portal took them he had heard Ellise. "the kishin they awakened...soo..we can assume that his soul has merged with part of that kishin" he said giving a sigh as he watched the fight "if thats the case..he may very well have the emotions of said kishin" he said as he continued to follow the fight

+ Null Zone: with his powers Umbra can great a zone that nulls all abilities this Zone is revealed by a black aura that covers the ground, it must connect to Umbra of course, when he does this it basically surrounds him, if anyone moves into this zone they are rendered unable to use powers, weapons can stay in their forms, but cant activate anything, miesters are stuck only with their weapons, Black Blood and madness seem to shrink down as if they were disappearing, but of course they are not, the only down fall of this ability is that when using this, he can not use any of his powers, since he is in the zone constantly when activated he must rely on his blades to defend himself,(those who are outside the zone can use magic and magic can go through the zone as long as the caster isn't touching inside the zone. another flaw is that this zone can only reach 40 feet around him. (this is meant to make people actually fight him and not..well use their advantage of powers..we can say its the one ability to make everyone almost Human lol) + Wings of Death: as one would see he has wings which seem very faded yet when looked closely seem like they are simply ghostly bones, but in fact is a death aura that is used to help Umbra move faster, this also allows him to levitate around, really despite being an death aura it doesn't hurt anyone rather if people try to attack it they will miss because it will go through as if it was mist. + Curse of the Heavens:this ability is more of a curse hence the name, it can not affect others because this curse is upon Umbra, this explains mostly of who Umbra is, because this is the whole reason behind why his memory is missing before he became a kishin. This Curse is one of the worst curses one could have because what it does is create utter emptiness within the reciprocate, Umbra, with this emptiness ones face will begin to disappear, and eventually nothing will appear, this will lead to many wearing a hood, this hood is the only thing left to hide the nothingness, as its own darkness f the shadow hides the reality of this part, not only will it do this, ones memory will begin to fade until nothing is left, ones memory is sealed away only to be released upon death. the third fault of this curse is that ones voice because a challenge, the voice is completely destroyed but at times a deep echoed voice will take the place of words, but even then it is rare to hear. + Blades of the Heavens: Umbra wields two weapons both of which are exactly alike, when he is fighting, can change the blades to two different elements, Darkness and light. when consumed by Darkness, the blades become Black even the actual blade part, they act the same way but in truth these blades allow Umbra to swing much quicker and harder, making it sound for Offensive. while on the other hand, Umbra can turn them White these are seen as Defensive, they do not move as quick as the black blades, but rather have their own attribute to defend against magic, or abilities well, it cant negate the power but it can lessen the amount of the magic to a good degree. + Crosses of Diablo: as one would picture crosses being the symbol of heaven and good, but these are different, they are what would find hell. they are pure dark energy, rather its concentrated making it much stronger and more dangerous then normal darkness many could muster. Umbra can fire Crosses at enemies, they go in a straight shot, they are fired from the palms of Umbra, and seem to increase size as they move, + Scythe Blade Enraged Fusion Seal:Umbra using the two weapons as matched as they are can bring them together to create a circle, this Circle soon creates what is to be a energy field, as time continues with this circle, the energy field becomes darker,only to become a dark red color, this attack makes everything seem to shake as if an earthquake is happening all of the sudden. in Umbra's view the target must be within the circles view, when this all happens the dark red disappears and appears under the target with what seems like runes and words under them, soon to follow red light which will surround them, this entire event is meant to act like a seal, it can withstand an army of attacks, and has captured many enemies before, powerful enemies. Umbra Never uses this power unless its the final end, where it will end the fighting. the reason behind this is that this takes time to power up, and after using it, Umbra becomes weak to where he can barely stand, still can but its a struggle, making him vulnerable to everything. +(soon to come when needed) +(soon to come when needed)
☽ Emma waited for the demon to show up. Before going through the portal, she saw the way he looked at them. It was obvious Atticus wasn't there. She looked at Herald "Everyone be on guard, I don't think Herald is the only target now." she said. Black marks appeared from the tattoo on her neck and extended on several parts of her body. With that, the barrier increased in power then. "Herald! I know you are built for taking hits, but at this rate you need to start using speed more! If you can't get him back to normal, we may be in some trouble as well!" she called to him, really hoping he took it as possible advice instead of as an insult which wasn't her intention at all. She had a feeling that, if Herald didn't keep it up, Atticus would get bored and possibly head to them and that would be a huge mess waiting to happen and a one on one fight could turn into a huge battle to not be killed. Ellise looked towards where Atticus was "Possibly, I don't know..." she said. ☾
Eric and The Reaver were both silent as they watched Atticus come back to life and transform. And they could both tell what he was thinking when it cocked its head as it looked at the group. Ironically, besides Umbra, The Reaver was probably the only one in the group who could have protected the others from the Atticus monster if he attacked. Whether he would have or not was unknown. The continued to be silent as they sank into the portal Emma had created, realizing where they were going. As they arrived at the pillars, Eric looked around. Herald had chosen a good location to continue the fight; it was high enough that they didn't have to worry about the toxins reaching them at all. The Reaver looked over at Emma as the barrier faded momentarily. "No more portals cat, or we'll lose the barrier," he told her.
The moment Herald had landed on a pillar, Demon Atticus would suddenly appear above him, perched atop a pillar as well. Sitting on it with his hands and feet both touching it, Demon Atticus looked down at Herald. He would say nothing, as his mouth opened, he wanted to speak, but he could not utter a single word, so instead, he unleashed another ear-splitting shriek, before launched himself off of the pillar, with so much force that the metal pillar would actually shatter into big chunks and fall down towards Herald and the others. Pulling back his hand, Demon Atticus would summon a massive amount of black fire around it, but there was something off about the black flames. While most fires such as Herald's burned with intense heat, this strange black of Atticus' did not. Instead, it gave off an intense cold pressure, almost like he had an miniature blizzard in his hand. The fire was so intense that even those inside the barrier would be able to feel the cold given off. Demon Atticus then lunged his fist forwards, unleashing the black fire in the form of a massive blast.
UMBRA ___________________________________________________________ Umbra gave a sigh "hmm...regardless..if this problem continues it wont just be reavers alternate and us" he muttered watching if what emma said having atticus attacking them as well, Umbra would have to get involved which he didn't want to do. he could feel the cold it could feel like nothingn ess being forced upon someone.

Herald glanced at Emma. "I know," he told her before the demon Atticus arrived. He cursed bitterly as Atticus arrived and caused the pillar he was on to explode. Herald dodged left and right, managing to avoid the chunks of debris before looking up to see Atticus preparing some kind of strange, cold fire. Herald didn't know what it was, but he knew how to respond. "Two can do that," he told Atticus, not knowing if Atticus could respond or even tell what he was saying. He took a deep breath and released a blast of green flames as soon as Atticus fired his flames. The two flames, hot and cold, met in mid-air. The two pushed against each other as the markings on Herald's body began to glow and shoot out flames. This time they didn't stop as Herald ramped up his wavelength to combat the new threat. Eric estimated that Herald was now somewhere over 90% of his full power, saving the last, greatest effort for whatever ending was coming. The green energy whirled around Herald in a frenzy before the buildup of energy between the two of them suddenly exploded, sending multi-colored flames in every direction. The flames washed over the barrier until there was nothing around the group BUT flames, burning through layer after layer until it threatened to break through and scorch the group itself. The looked up and watched it as if he were checking for rain. The flames finally faded away and Herald stood on the ruins of the pillar, cold flames still burning on parts of his body from the damage he had taken. He used an explosion of resonance force to get the rest of it off.
Herald suddenly launched himself towards Atticus, the green streaks of energy preceding him. As he reached Atticus the streams began to attack and Herald attacked Atticus with multiple slashes. Unlike before, the air around Herald was super-heated from his Afterburn ability, making even the air damaging as Herald pressed the attack harder than he had before, throwing almost everything he had into his assault.
As his and Herald's flames struck each other, Demon Atticus looked on, mesmerized by the contrasting colors of black and green as well as the different temperatures in the air, first it would be hot and then cold, it seemed to fluctuate along with their flames. Watching the energy between the flames build and up and then explode, Demon Atticus was unaware that parts of his body had been burning with Herald's green flames, just as some of Herald was burning with the cold black flames. As Herald landed on another pillar, Demon Atticus would land on one that was located right in front of him, still not realizing that he had been burning. Suddenly, Herald would launch forwards, with green streaks of energy in front of him. Still standing on the pillar, Demon Atticus dug his claws into the pillar, cracking it a little, then Herald's slashes would each hit him, one after the other. This sheer strength of the slashes, coupled with the intense heat, caused Demon Atticus to be knocked back, despite having braced himself. He found his body impelled into another pillar. His torso had numerous slashes on it and black blood would ooze out. As he struggled to get free, Demon Atticus would notice his own blood and just like earlier, would taste it, before prying himself free from the metal pillar and hovering in the air.
As he hovered there, Demon Atticus looked towards Herald, but then turn his head immediately towards the barrier, locking eyes with that of Emma, before vanishing. just then, he would appear right in front of the barrier, standing in front Emma. His eyes darted back and forth observing and taking notes on each and every person inside the barrier. It appears that what Emma feared was true, he had grown tired of Herald or rather, became more curious as to what was inside the others, so he changed his target to one of them. Ultimately, his eyes would settle on the first person he saw, which was Emma. Raising his hand up towards her, Demon Atticus would try and pierce her through the heart, but thankfully, the barrier that was there stopped him. However, the barrier wold slowly start to crack and chip away, as Demon Atticus' powers were far beyond that of Emma's, it was just her luck that he had not been aware of his full power and destroyed the barrier as soon as he touched it. Demon Atticus would steadily build up more power and he repeatedly struck the barrier, trying to get at Emma.
☽ Emma nodded at Reaver before turning and seeing Atticus right there. She froze and watched as he began to chip away the barrier. "Sh*t," she muttered under her breath. Suddenly, she was pushed back and stood behind Shira. "What are you doing?" she hissed. Shira ignored her and stared at Atticus "Get a grip, Atticus." she finally said, her wavelength increased slightly as she watched him. She was hoping he would snap out of it by looking at her and feeling her wavelength, worse case she would have to watch as he destroyed the barrier and then do something stupid, lunge at him and try and resonate. "This isn't you. Snap out of it." was the next thing she said with a worried expression. Ellise prepared to attack Atticus if needed, getting in position to hit him before he could harm the others. ☾
Herald grimaced slightly as he watched Atticus taste his own blood before noticing that Atticus had his attention on the barrier and specifically Emma. As soon as Atticus vanished, Herald realized that he was going for the barrier. He charged up his energy as the demon began trying to break through the barrier and then when a green streak of fire he was by the demon's side. He needed its attention again. Instead of launching an attack, Herald decided to launch an insult. He raised his hand and then shot it forwards, attempting to backhand Atticus straight across the face. Amusingly enough, a backhand at this strength would probably send most people flying but Herald didn't intend any such thing for Atticus. He wanted to slap him hard enough to get his attention, hopefully for good. He ignored Shira and her pleas towards Atticus. Waiting to see if those would work was not worth the risk.
UMBRA ___________________________________________________________ Umbra would soon see Atticus disappear and reappear before the barrier which he floated next to "seems he has become more aware of his surroundings then we need" he muttered before looking at Ellise "shall i interfere now...since this battle was long over the moment he hit the ground" he said to everyone in the barrier, he still would seem as if he was waiting until they wanted him to interfere, he didnt know. as he spoke his hand would begin to glow black as he looked at the barrier then Atticus
